Before Use

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Caution: For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before attempting to connect this unit to the mains. Before switching on make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate.
This unit is designed to operate on AC 230V 50Hz current only. Connecting it to other power sources may damage the unit. Do not allow this unit to be exposed to rain or moisture.

- The blades of the rollers are extremely sharp and must be handled with precaution and always by grasping their plastic part.
- To prevent accidents never insert the rollers onto the base before fitting the hopper in place.
- Make sure the hopper and the roller on its clutch have been correctly fitted as well as the conveyor and the shredding attachment before plugging in and starting up the appliance.
- Never insert food by pushing it in by hand but always utilise the provided food presser.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains power; disconnect it after each use.

To prevent the appliance from overheating RESPECT THE MAXIMUM CONTINUOUS
- Never remove the roller when the appliance is in use.
- Do not overfill the hopper: never insert more than one piece at a time.
USE TIME OF 2 MINUTES; always halt the appliance and make sure it has cooled before restarting if you must use it more than once at a time. - Do not use the appliance to chop overly hard food (such as ice cubes for instance).
- This appliance must be used solely for chopping vegetables and/or fruit.
- This appliance conforms to the 2006/95/EC and EMC2004/108/EEC directives.

BEFORE USING THE ELECTRIC SLICER & GREATER
- Check that the correct voltage is marked on the data panel on the base of the appliance.
Before using rinse the parts which will come into contact with food under running water. - Do not put the base containing the motor into water or into other liquids. To clean this part use a damp cloth and then dry.
- Before assembling and/or disassembling the appliance check that the plug has not been inserted into the socket.
- Handle the rollers with care because they are sharp and could cause injury.

USING THE ELECTRIC SLICER & GREATER
- Assemble the hopper (2) onto the base (1) containing the motor.
Then fit the desired cone onto the hopper (2) and, while pressing it onto the clutch, rotate it counter clockwise 1/4 of a turn until it stops (fig. C).
Depending on the kind of food you wish to cut or grater, insert a suitable cone for the slicing or grating task.
Insert the plug into the power point. press the on/off switch (5) to switch on the appliance.
Always use the provided presser (4) to push the food into the hopper.
This appliance can be used either standalone positioned in a solid base or directly over the bowl by holding strong the handle.
WARNING: never use your hands or any objects other than the provided presser (4).
IMPORTANT: do not press the pressor too hard (4) to prevent the motor from slowing down and/or the rollers from getting mixed.

IMPORTANT SUGGESTION
Before to put the food into the hopper cut it in a smaller size.
To obtain small pieces insert the food vertically (not more than one piece at a time).
To obtain longer and thinner pieces or slices insert the food horizontally.
- Best results are obtained with food of a certain hardness. In case the food is not hard enough it is advisable to place it in the freezer until it becomes hard.
- Do not use the appliance to chop food which is too hard (for example: ice cubes).
- The motor may stop or the rollers may get mixed if food which is too soft is used or if there is too much pressure or the appliance is used for too long.
- In the event that this happens immediately switch the appliance off by pressing the switch (5), disconnect the plug from the socket, remove the funnel and the roller and clean perfectly.
AFTER THE USE
- Disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
Disassemble the appliance by rotating the food hopper (E) counter clockwise and then remove it. - Remove the cone and pull out the hopper outwards (fig. 4).
CARE & MAINTENANCE

To make cleaning easier wash attachments and parts immediately after using them.
All the attachments except the motor base (1) can be washed in water or in the upper part of a dishwasher. The motor base must be cleaned with a damp cloth and then perfectly dried off. In case the appliance should be stained after using, cleaning it with vegetable oil or mayonnaise is advisable.
