Mixing Vessel
- Check the decanter (3). The screw top (11), knife block (5) and sealing ring (4) have to be assembled in the correct order. Please ensure that the sealing ring (4) is located centrally on the knife block below the carafe and that the screw top is tight. Do not forget to insert the sealing ring as otherwise the carafe will leak.
- Place the carafe on the motor housing (7). The arrow ▼ on the mixing vessel is positioned above the ▲ arrow on the motor housing.
Important notice on the safety switch
- The all-purpose mixer is equipped with a safety switch (6) that avoids that the motor run without the decanter mounted on it (danger of injury!).
- When the vessel is attached the motor block presses on the safety switch of the motor housing. The universal mixer can now be switched on. If the motor block is not fully in contact with the safety switch, the motor does not start.
Seal and Knife Block
The knife block can be removed if necessary, e.g. for cleaning.
- You can loosen the knife block by turning in a clockwise direction (LOOSEN) or tighten by turning in an anticlockwise direction (TIGHTEN). On the inside of the screw top you will find the markings LOOSEN and TIGHTEN.
- When you reinsert the knife block, please ensure that the seal forms a tight closure and that the container is tight.
- Do not forget to insert the sealing ring as otherwise the carafe will leak.
