Safety Instructions for Universal Blenders

Before using this appliance, read the following safety instructions and the separately enclosed instruction manual very carefully.

Safety Instructions According to Standard

Read the instructions!

WARNING: Risk of Injury!

• Only use the blender when the lid or the safety guard are in the operating position as specified in the instructions.
• Never reach into the container with your hand when it is on the stand.
  • Always use a suitable tool, e. g. a spatula, to push food down.
• The blades of the knives are sharp! Handle the knives with the necessary care!

• Be careful when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.

• Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• This appliance shall not be used by children.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

• Only process foodstuffs using this appliance. Misuse for other purposes may result in injury.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
• in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.

It is not intended for use in farm houses or by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments or in bed and breakfast type environments.

CAUTION:

The motor housing is not intended to be immersed in water when cleaning. Follow the instructions we give you in the instruction manual in the chapter “Cleaning”.

General Safety Instructions

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• Always disconnect the mains plug from the socket (pull the mains plug, not the cable) when attaching accessories or in the event of a fault.
• The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
• Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
• Only use original accessories.

- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING:

Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil. There is a danger of suffocation!
