3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
- All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
- Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
- Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this in annual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defed s or problems.
- Keep this manual for future reference.

5. Inst allation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
To reduce the risk of theft, the safe can be secured to the floor, wall or in a cupboard. Refer to illustration [A]. Use the predrilled holes at the bottom and back to define the position of the drill holes. Fix the safe by the supplied expansion bolts. Install the safe horizontally.
6. Prep aring the Safe
6.1 Openi ng the Safe for the First Time
Use the override key to manually open the safe for the first time.
- Remove the keyhole cover [2] on the front panel.
- Insert the key into the keyhole [2] and turn it counter-clockwise.
- Turn the knob [1] clockwise and open the door.
6.2 Instal ling the Batteries

Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispos of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
- Remove the battery cover [5] located on the inside of the door.
- Place 4 x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries respecting the polarity.
Note: We recommend using alkaline batteries.
- Close the battery compartment.
If the batteries are installed correctly, all the indicators on the front panel [3] light up and you hear one beep.
Important: do not keep the override keys in the safe.
Note: When the batteries are low, the ① indicates lights up when you open the safe. In that case, replace the batteries immediately.
7. Pro gramsming the Code
Programming the User Code
- With the door open, press the red button [4] on the back of the door.
The NO indicator and all the digits on the front panel [3] light up and you hear two beeps. -
Enter the desired user code using the keypad [3]. The code can contain 3 to 8 digits. Press # to confirm. If the code is accepted, the NO indicator goes out, the OK indicator lit hits up and you hear two beeps.

Memorise the code, and check if it was programmed correctly.
Note: If you enter an incorrect code, the NO indicator lights up and you hear three beeps. Repeat the steps above to re-program the code.
Programming the Master Code
- Touch the keypad [3] on the front panel to make the digits light. The keypad is now ready for use.
- With the door open, press 0 twice, then press the red button [4] on the back of the door.
The NO indicator and all the digits on the front panel light up and you hear three beeps.
- Enter the original master code (factory setting is 8888) and press # to confirm. You hear two beeps.
- Enter the desired master code. The code can contain 3 to 8 digits. Press # to confirm. You hear two beeps.
- Enter the desired master code again and press # to confirm m.
If the code is accepted, the NO indicator goes out, the OK indicator lights up and you hear two beeps.
- Memorise the code, and check if it was programmed correctly.
Note: If you enter an incorrect code, the NO indicator lights up and you hear three beeps. Repeat at the steps above to re-program the code.
8. Use
8.1 Openi ng the Safe
- Touch the keypad [3] on the front panel to make the digits light. The keypad is now ready for use.
- Enter the user or master code and press # to confirm.
Note: If you make a mistake, press * (before you press #) to cancel the input and then enter the code again, starting from the first digit.
If the code is recognised, the OK indicator lights and you hear one beep.
- Turn the knob [1] clockwise within 5 seconds and open the door.
Notes:
If you enter an incorrect code, the NO indicator lights and you hear three beeps. The door will not open.
If you enter an incorrect code three times in a row, you have to wait 20 seconds before you can try again.
- If you enter an incorrect code again three times in a row, you have to wait 5 minutes before /you can try again. You hear a continuous beep. To stop the beeping, open the safe using the override key [2] and press the red button [4] on the back of the door.
8.2 Closin g the Safe
- Shut the door.
- Turn the knob [1] counter-clockwise to bolt the door.
8.3 Using the Override Key
In case of emergency, you can use the override key to open the safe without entering a code. See "Opening the Safe for the First Time".
Important: do not keep the override keys in the safe.
8.4 Turning the Keypad Sound On/ Off
Each time you touch a key on the keypad, you hear a beep.
- To switch the keypad sound off, enter the code *633.
- To switch the keypad sound on, enter the code *66.

All our products fulfil strict quality requirements and legal stipulations in the EU. In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).
General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
- Not covered by warranty:

all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits:

consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....;

flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions:

damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally):

damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
