2. Safety Instructions
- Indoor use only.
- Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
- Do not connect to an appliance with a load exceeding the capacity of the timer (see Technical Specifications).
- Do not use a timer to control an appliance containing a heating element (cooking appliance, heater, iron...).
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
Always make sure the plug of the connected appliance is fully inserted into the timer. - Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
3. Operation
3.1 Setting the day and time
- Unplug the timer from the outlet.
- Press and hold SET until the day flashes.
- Press or to change the day. Press SET to confirm. The hour digit flashes.
- Press or to change the hour. To change it more quickly, press and hold or . Press SET to confirm. The minutes digit flashes.
- Press or to change the minutes. Press SET to confirm.
Time Format (AM/PM or 24 hour)
To change the time format, press and hold CLOCK until the display changes.
3.2 Daylight savings time function
- Press CLOCK and at the same time. The time display automatically adds one hour and "S" is shown on the LCD.
- Press CLOCK and again to exit daylight savings time.
3.3 Setting a program
- Unplug the timer from the outlet.
- With the LCD in normal time display, press once to change to program setting display. "1ON" will be shown on the lower left corner of the LCD:
"1" indicates the program group number (program group is from 1 to 14)
"ON" indicates power on time.
"OFF" indicates power off time
- Press or to set the program group and on/off status. Press SET to confirm.
- Press or to set the day. Press SET to confirm.
- Press or to set the hour. Press SET to confirm.
- Press or to set the minutes. Press SET to confirm.
3.4 Countdown timer

Unplug the timer from the outlet.

With the LCD in normal time display, press to change to countdown setting display. d ON (or OFF) will be shown on the lower left corner of the LCD.

"ON" the appliance will be switched on after countdown
"OFF" the appliance will be switched off after countdown
- Press SET until the on/off display flashes.
- Press or to select on or off. Press SET to confirm.
- Press 空 or 空 to set the hours. Press SET to confirm.
- Repeat this step for minutes and seconds. Press SET to confirm.
- Connect the timer to an outlet and set the timer to AUTO status in order to start /stop the countdown functions.
- Press CD once to start the countdown function. "d ON" (or "d OFF") flashes to indicate countdown is in progress. Press CD again to stop the countdown function.
Notes
- When countdown is in progress, LCD is in normal time display. To view the countdown timer, press .
- When done, press CLOCK to display the clock. The clock displays automatically after 15 seconds.
3.5 Random function
The random function turns appliances on and off at irregular intervals.
- Plug the timer into a wall socket and set the program to AUTO status.
- Press RND. "r OFF" flashes. Power will be off for 26 to 42 minutes. The mode automatically changes to "r ON", the power will be on for 10 to 26 minutes.
- Press RND again to stop the random function.
3.6 Override function
You can override the program presets in the timer.
Press ON/OFF to set the timer. The options are:
- AUTO appliance will be switched on or off according to settings
ON appliance is always on
OFF appliance is always ff
3.7 Resetting the timer
To reset the timer, press RESET with a needle or point. This will reset the time and clear all timer program settings.
3.8 Connecting an appliance to the timer
When the programs are set:
- Switch off your electrical appliance.
- Plug your appliance into the timer socket.
- Plug the timer to the power outlet.
- Switch on your appliance. The appliance will then be turned on/off according to your settings.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Remove the timer from the mains before cleaning.
- Wipe with a dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or any liquid.
5. Battery
This device contains an internal rechargeable battery. When the device is end-of-life, it must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children. Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode.

All our products fulfil strict quality requirements and legal stipulations in the EU. In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).
General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
- Not covered by warranty:

all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits:

consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....

flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions;

damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally):

damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article:

all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
