4 CHARGING THE MODEL

Attention: The battery and motor must cool down for 15 to 30 minutes before charging and after every flight. Otherwise they can be damaged. The charging process must be constantly monitored. Always ensure that the charging process takes place on a fireproof surface in a fire-resistant environment.

  • Switch off the remote control and model
  • Carefully place the helicopter with the fuselage facing downwards on the remote control. In the process, make sure that the circuit board contacts are guided into the slot on the remote control 4A.
The charging process begins when the blue charge LED in the helicopter illuminates 4B.
The charging process has been completed when the USB plug lights up.
  • Remove the helicopter from the remote control after the charging process.

The model can fly for approx. 5-7 minutes after a charge time of approx. 40 minutes.

5 START PREPARATION

The control for thrust 2A must point down before the remote control is switched on 5A. Then briefly press the ON/OFF button on the remote control 5B and the Power LED 2G begins to blink red. Now set the ON/OFF switch 1D on the underside of the helicopter to the ON position 5C. Place the helicopter on the ground so that its tail points toward you. After a few seconds for initialisation, the Power LED on the remote control illuminates red. Now the helicopter is ready to start. After the flight, first switch off the helicopter, then the remote control. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds to switch it off.

6 TRIM ADJUSTMENT OF THE CONTROL

The correct trim is a basic requirement for fault-free flying behavior of the model.

6A If the helicopter begins to automatically rotate clockwise quickly or slowly ...

If the helicopter begins to automatically rotate clockwise quickly or slowly, continue to tap the left/right trim buttons for rotation 2E until the helicopter no longer rotates automatically. Do not simply actuate the trim buttons continuously.

6B

If the helicopter begins to automatically rotate anti-clockwise quickly or slowly ...

If the helicopter begins to automatically rotate anti-clockwise quickly or slowly, continue to tap the left/right trim buttons for rotation 2E until the helicopter no longer rotates automatically. Do not simply actuate the trim buttons continuously.

7 FLIGHT CONTROL

7A Take off or increase altitude by carefully moving the control for thrust 2A forward.

7B Land or decrease altitude by moving the control for thrust 2A backward. Only minimal corrections to the controller are necessary to ensure smoothing flying of the helicopter!

7C In fly along a left-handed curve, carefully move the control for forward/ backward and clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation 2D to the left, as long as the helicopter tail is facing toward the pilot.

7D To fly along a right-handed curve, carefully move the control for forward/ backward and clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation 2D to the right, as long as the helicopter tail is facing toward the pilot.

7E Fly forward by moving the control for forward/backward flight and right/ left rotation 2D carefully forward.

7F Fly backward by moving the control for forward/backward flight and clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation 2D carefully back.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE FLYING

GENERAL FLYING TIPS:

  • Always place the model on a level surface. An inclined surface cap, under certain circumstances, have a negative impact on the starting behavior of the model.
  • Always operate the controls slowly and with a gentle touch.
  • Always maintain visual contact with the model and do not look at the remote control
  • Move the thrust control down again somewhat as soon as the model lifts off from the ground. Maintain flying altitude by adjusting the thrust controller.
  • if the model lowers, move the thrust control slightly upward again.
  • if the model climbs, move the thrust control down slightly.
In order to fly along a curve, it often suffices to tap the control for forward/back and clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation very slightly in the respective direction. There is a general tendency during preliminary attempts at flight to operate the model's controls too aggressively. The control for forward/backward and clockwise/ anti-clockwise rotation should always be moved slowly and carefully. Never fast and fitfully.
  • Beginners should first master trimming before attempting to master the thrust controller. The model does not necessarily have to fly straight at the beginning - initially, it is more important to maintain a constant height of approximately one meter above the ground by repeatedly tapping the thrust control. Only then should the pilot practice steering the model left and right.

SUITABLE FLYING ENVIRONMENT:

The location in which the helicopter is flown should fulfil the following criteria: It should be an indoor location without any wind. Insofar as possible, there should be no air conditioning systems, heaters, etc. that can cause air currents.
- The room should be at least 10 metres long, six metres wide and three metres high. - No disruptive objects, such as fans, lamps, etc., should be present in the room.
- When initialising take-off, make absolutely sure that all persons and animals including the pilot are at least 1-2 metres removed from the aircraft before flight begins. - Always watch the aircraft to ensure it does not fly into and injure the pilot, other people or animals.

8 CHANGING THE ROTOR BLADES

If the rotor blades of the helicopter should become damaged, they must be replaced. To do so, proceed as follows:

8A Prior to installation, make sure that you do not mix up the rotor blades. The rotor blades are marked with A (top) and B (bottom).

8B Unscrew the blade retaining screw in anticlockwise motion.

8C Pull the rotor blade down and at an angle to remove it.

8D Now fit the new rotor blade and carefully screw in the blade retaining screw in clockwise motion. Attention: The rotor blade must rotate freely.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem: The rotor blades do not move.

Cause: 1. The ON/OFF switch is set to the "OFF" position. 2. The battery is too weak or depleted.

Remedy: 1. Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. 2. Charge the battery.

Problem: The helicopter stops and descends during flight for no apparent reason.

Cause: The battery is too weak.

Remedy: Charge the battery.

Problem: It isn't possible to control the helicopter using the remote control.

Cause: 1. The ON/OFF switch is set to the "OFF" position. 2. The batteries were not inserted correctly.

  1. The batteries do not have enough power.

Remedy: 1. Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. 2. Check whether the batteries are inserted correctly. 3. Insert new batteries

Problem: The helicopter only rotates around its axis clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Cause: Excessive trimming to the left or right.

Remedy: - Reset the left/right trim adjustment in the opposite direction (see point 6: Adjusting the Trim Controller).
