What are the operating modes of the Balnea Silence SO6215?

The device offers several modes: off (0), cool air, Silence mode at 1200 W, Max mode at 2400 W, and Auto Boost mode (2400 W for 10 min then 1200 W for 20 min). A thermostat allows setting the desired temperature, including a frost protection setting.

How to install the heater on the wall?

Use the supplied wall bracket (E). Fix it to the wall with appropriate screws and plugs, respecting the minimum distances indicated in figure 3. Hang the device by its carrying handle and clip the lower hook. To remove it, press the lower tab and release the device.

Can this heater be used in a bathroom?

Yes, it is rated IPX1, protecting it against vertical water drips. It must be installed in bathroom zone 3, out of reach of a person in the bathtub or shower. Comply with the NFC15100 standard in France.

What to do in case of overheating or unexpected shutdown?

The device has a safety device that automatically cuts off the heating in case of abnormal overheating. After cooling down, it restarts. If the problem persists, a thermal fuse may permanently cut off the device; then contact an Authorized Service Center.

How to clean the device?

Unplug it and let it cool down. Clean the exterior with a slightly damp cloth (no abrasive products). Clean the air inlet and outlet grilles at least once a year using a vacuum cleaner.

Why is the indicator light permanently on?

The indicator light (2) turns on as soon as the device is operating (button 1 in a position other than 0). It indicates that the device is powered and in active mode.

How to correctly adjust the thermostat?

Turn the knob 3 (or 6 depending on model) to adjust the temperature according to your feeling. The frost protection position (marked *) automatically maintains the temperature above 0°C in an insulated room.

What is the maximum power and how to use it?

The maximum power is 2400 W in Max mode. Use it to quickly heat a room. For quieter and more economical operation, choose Silence mode at 1200 W.

Is the device under warranty?

USE IN THE BATHROOM (protection against splashing with water)

• This "IP21" unit has been specially designed so that it can be used in any room in your house, including those where there is a risk of water being splashed onto it from above (kitchen, bathroom, etc.).
• However, the electrical installation in the room, the installation of the unit and the way the unit is used must all comply with the safety standards in force in your country.

WALL INSTALLATION

This appliance may be used fixed to a vertical wall exclusively, in the right direction and respecting the minimum distances described in figure 3.

It is essential that the appliance is fixed to the wall using the wall support (E) supplied.

A means of disconnection must be provided for in the fixed channelling in compliance with installation guidelines.

Wall Attachment: see fig. 4a.

• Attach the wall bracket with appropriate screws and plugs following the direction of the arrow.
• Insert the upper wall-bracket hook in the unit's transport handle, and clip the lower wall-bracket hook onto the unit.

Taking Down the Unit: see fig. 4b.

• Maintain a solid grip on the unit and push down upon the lower tongue of the wall bracket.
• Pull the unit out from the bottom.
• Lift the unit up and remove it from the upper hook.

SAFETY

In the event of abnormal overheating, a safety device shuts down the appliance and then automatically restarts it once it has cooled. If the fault persists or gets worse, a thermal fuse shuts the appliance down definitively and it must then be taken to an approved service centre.

OPERATION

Each time before use, check that the appliance is in good condition.

Especially check that:

• the position of the appliance described in these instructions is respected.
• the air inlet and outlet grids are in no way obstructed.
• the appliance is placed on a horizontal, stable surface.

The appliance makes a beep every time the control knobs are moved.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR APPLIANCE

• The appliance must be unplugged and left to cool down before carrying out any work on it.

• Clean the air inlet and outlet grids at least once a year (with a vacuum cleaner if necessary).

STORAGE

It is extremely important that the unit be allowed to cool down before it is put away.
