USER MANUAL SM 1916 CB BOMANN

General Safety Instructions Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fi t for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is desig- ned to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
  • Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
  • Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualifi ed person and with a cable of the same type.
  • Use only original spare parts.

  • In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach. Caution! Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is a danger of suffo- cation!

  • Make sure that the motor casing is not wet.
  • Pay attention to the slowing down of the motor after shutting off.

  • Short-time operating: use the device for no longer than 2 minutes with soft foods and no longer than 1 minute with hard foods. Leave the device to cool down for at least 3 minutes before using again.
  • Caution: The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! It should therefore be handled with extreme caution! DANGER OF INJURY!
  • The appliance is designed to process only small quantities of food! Fill the container with the maximum quantities specifi ed in the table!

  • Take out all the parts carefully out of the packing. Save the packing and the inner packing material for the whole duration of the warranty.

1. Place the hand-held mixer on the motor housing. Now turn the mixer until the 쑽/쒀

marks are aligned with one another.

2. Fill the food to be mixed into the mixing bowl (max. 0.7 litres). Immerse the mixing bar

fully, but only up to the MAX mark.

3. Please hold the device in such a way that you can operate pushbutton I or pushbutton II

with your fi ngers. Pushbutton I

This switches on the minimum speed and cannot be regulated. Pushbutton II

This provides the maximum speed and cannot be regulated.

4. Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz.

5. Press one of the buttons.

6. Pulsed mode is switched on by pressing the appropriate pushbutton at intervals and

then releasing it again.

7. The device switches itself off when the button is released.

8. To release the bar mixer please turn it in the opposite direction.

9. Pull out the plug from the socket after use. Clean and put the device away as described

in „Cleaning and Maintenance“.

10. Note: Attach the cover under the base so that the shaker is stable.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Always pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning!
  • Clean the mixing vessel and lid with ordinary water or with soapy water.
  • The device must never be immersed in water!
  • In order to clean the mixing rod fi ll the mixing bowl with water and operate the mixing rod as described under „Using the Device“. Then dry the mixing rod thoroughly. Caution: The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! Danger of injury!
  • Rub the outside of the motor casing with a moist towel to clean it when necessary and then wipe it with a dry cloth.

During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it.
