How to fill the water tank?

Unplug the iron, set the steam control to "min", open the filling lid at the back, pour tap water up to the MAX mark (400 ml). Do not exceed. Close the lid.

How to use the steam function?

Set a high temperature (cotton/linen) using the temperature button. Use the variable steam control knob (4) to adjust the flow. For an extra burst of steam, press the "steam shot" button (3). Caution: steam is hot.

What does the "STANDBY" display mean?

The screen shows "STANDBY" while the iron is heating up. It flashes until the set temperature is reached. Once the temperature is reached, the flashing stops and you can start ironing.

How does the auto shut-off work?

The auto shut-off (AUTO SHUT OFF) turns off the iron if it remains stationary: 30 seconds in horizontal position, 8 minutes in vertical position. An audible signal sounds and the screen displays "OFF". Move the iron to reactivate it.

What to do if water drips from the soleplate?

This can happen if the temperature is too low for steam. Reduce steam flow or switch to dry mode. The anti-drip system automatically stops steam if the temperature is insufficient.

How to clean the iron?

Always unplug the iron before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth. Clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How to replace the anti-scale cartridge?

Open the water tank closure at the back. Pull out the cage containing the cartridge. Replace with a new cartridge and reassemble. It is recommended to change the cartridge every 6 months.

Can I use the iron vertically?

Yes, you can use the "steam shot" function vertically to remove creases from hanging clothes. Caution: do not use the steam shot for more than 5 seconds continuously to avoid water leaks.

What are the recommended temperatures for fabrics?

Use the temperature button to choose: lowest for synthetics and silk, medium for wool, high for cotton and linen. Always start with the lowest temperatures.

Can I use scented water or starch?

No, use only tap water. Scented water, starch, fabric softener or any additives can damage the appliance and cause deposits that soil laundry.

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

Special Safety Instructions

WARNING:

The ironing base (10) becomes hot very quickly and takes a long time to cool down. Please do not touch it.

• When not using the iron, always place the appliance vertically on its base (9).
• Before fi lling the water tank (8) remove the mains lead. Please do not fi ll the water tank higher than the MAX mark (approx. 400 ml).

Instructions for Use

Preparations

• Remove any protective films and adhesive labels from the stainless steel soleplate before using the appliance.
• Clean the ironing base with a slightly damp cloth.

Water Tank

• The lock of the water tank is located on the rear of the device. The lock is opened by turning it in an anticlockwise direction.
• The lock also contains the descaling cartridge. The tank should therefore only be filled with clean tap water.

i NOTE:

Do not fill battery water, water from the clothes dryer and water containing additives (such as starch, perfume, softener or other chemicals) into the water reservoir. This could damage the iron due to residues forming in the steam chamber. These residues may cause impurities to the fabric when dropping out of the holes in the soleplate.

- Close the water tank.

Connected Wattage

In total the device can consume 2200 W of power.

CAUTION:

Overload! Do not use any extension leads or multiple sockets as this device is too powerful.

Electrical connection

• Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the line voltage match.
- Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz.

Display

When the device is switched on the words „OFF“ and „STAND-BY“ appear in the display.

- Press the temperature button to switch on the different levels:

- low temperature for synthetics, silk - medium temperature for wool - high temperature for cotton, linen MAX highest temperature

i NOTE:

The word „STANDBY“ fl ashes in the display until the temperature is reached on the soleplate.

- Press the temperature button again to switch off the irony. The words „OFF“ and „STANDBY“ appear in the display.

AUTO SHUT OFF

AUTO SHUT OFF refers to the ability of the device to switch itself off.

• Horizontal: If the device is not moved in this position for approx. 30 seconds it switches itself off. A buzzer is heard and the word „OFF“ fl ashes. You only need to move the device and it switches itself back on.
• Vertical: If the device is not moved in this position for approx. 8 minutes it switches itself off. A buzzer is heard and the word „OFF“ fl ashes. You only need to move the device and it switches itself back on.

i NOTE:

If the iron does not „wake up“ immediately after it has switched itself off, it is possible that the movements are too smooth. This may be remedied by shaking the iron briefly.

Ironing without steam (steam jet regulator on „min“)

i NOTE:

This device should only be used for ironing garments and textiles!

• Place the iron on its stand (9).
• Turn the steam regulator (4) to „min“.
• Sort out the garments according to their ironing temperatures. Start with the lower temperatures.
• Set a level with the temperature button. The word „STAND-BY“ fl ashes in the display. As soon as it shuts off, the set temperature is reached. Now you can start to iron.
  • Always pull the plug out of the socket after using the iron.

Steam Ironing

• For this a high temperature is needed (cotton, linen).
• The quantity of steam can be regulated using the steam quantity regulator (4).

Extra steam can be added with the steam jet function „ ^2 ” (3).

WARNING: The steam is hot. Danger of scalding!

ANTI-DRIP-SYSTEM

• When ironing at low temperatures, make sure that you reduce the quantity of steam or iron without steam.
• If the temperature is too low water may leak from the soleplate.
• The appliance features an "anti-leakage function" which deactivates the steam mode if the temperature chosen is insufficient for steam operation.

Refi lling the water tank

• Always disconnect the mains plug before refi lling water.
- Set the steam control (4) to „min“ (no steam). Open the lid of the refi ll inlet (6) and carefully pour in the water. Do not exceed the MAX line as marked on the water reservoir.

Spray Function ( ^19 )

In order to moisten a section to be ironed press the spray button (5).

Vertical Steam

This can be used to produce a jet of steam in a vertical direction.

i NOTE:

To avoid excess water leaking from the soleplate do not operate the steam burst for more than 5 seconds without interruption.

Replacing the Anti-Calcium Filter

Among the accessories for the device you will find a replacement cartridge for the anti-calcium filter. During normal use this should be replaced approximately every six months.

• On the back of the device you will find the lock (b) for the water tank. On this lock there is a retainer (a) with the anti-calcium fi Iter.
• Pull the retainer to separate the components from one another.

- Replace the cartridges and re-assemble the components.

Cleaning and Storage

• Always remove the mains lead before cleaning!
- Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth.
- Clean the iron with a slightly humid cloth.
- Always return the steam regulator to the „min“ position after use and empty the water tank in order to prevent any leaks.
• The device must never be immersed in water!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.
