- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.

Symbols in these Instructions for Use
Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the machine:
WARNING:
This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates possible injury risks.
CAUTION:
This refers to possible hazards to the machine or other objects.
NOTE: This highlights tips and information.
Special safety information
- Caution: During operation the temperature of the exposed surface may be very hot. Danger of burns!
The fondue set is only intended for domestic and not for professional use. - Do not remove or carry the hot device when it is in use! Otherwise hot liquids, steam or oil may be spilled or given off!
- Do not pour together water and oil! Hot liquids may be spilled out!
CAUTION:
You should never mix fat and oils as the fondue pot could overfl ow.
WARNING:
Oils and fats may burn when overheated. Please be careful!
Even the mixing of various types of oil and fat with one another is dangerous!
- This device is not suitable for open-air use!
- If the deep fat fryer should catch fi re, do not under any circumstances attempt to extinguish the fl ames with water. Suffocate the fl ames with a damp cloth.
- The device becomes extremely hot! The fondue pot should only be gripped by the handles! The metal parts by means of which the handles are attached to the pot can become very hot, as can the metal sections of the forks.
- Remember that the hot surfaces remain hot a long time after operation.
- Do not forget to switch the device off after use! Turn the thermostat to the lowest setting (MIN) and then remove the plug.
- Allow the unit to cool down before you put it away.
Scope of Supply and Equipment
Fondue pot made of stainless steel with attachment holder for forks
- 8 fondue forks
- Separate stable heating base with robust hotplate and continuously adjustable thermostat
Control lamp
Before Initial Use
Before using the wok for the first time, please clean it as described under „Cleaning and Care".
CAUTION:
In order to remove the protective layer on the heating base you should operate the device on MAX for approx. 10 minutes without the fondue pot in place. Do not leave the device unsupervised when it is in use.

DTE:
A small amount of smoke is normal. Please ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
Useful hints for use
- Always remove the food remaining in the oil. Change the oil after using it 8-10 times.
- Deep frying fat must be capable of being heated to high temperatures. Use high quality frying oil or frying grease. Do not use margarine, olive oil or butter: they are not fit for frying, because they start to smoke already at low temperatures. We recommend the use of liquid frying oil.
WARNING:
Please note this important information if you intend to use fat!
If you use fat, please divide it up into small pieces. Turn the thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces slowly. Once the fat has melted and the correct oil level is reached you can set the desired temperature on the thermostat.
Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying.
Oil running along the pot drips into the channel attached around the heating base. There are small holes in this channel through which the oil can drain. This may result in damage to your table or working surface.
Initial Operation of the Fondue Set
Please select a suitable non-slip base on which to place your wok.
- Unwind the required length of mains lead from the bottom section or the heating base.
- Place the fondue equipment on the heating stand.
- Fill the pot with fat or oil (Only fi II between the MIN. and MAX. mark). The most suitable types of oil are frying oils or vegetable oil. Place the upper section on the fondue pot so that it is correctly positioned.
- Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50Hz safety socket.
- Switch on the device and set the highest level. Leave the oil to heat. The control lamp lights up and indicates that the device is switched on. With a wooden stick (e.g. shashlik spit or wooden cooking spoon) you can test whether the correct temperature has been reached. When this is inserted into the oil, small air bubbles should rise up along the wooden stick. Alternatively, you can place a piece of the food to be fried into the hot oil.
- Place the pieces of meat on the fondue forks and then dip them into the oil. Depending on the size of the meat pieces, the cooking process takes between 4 and 7 minutes, i.e. the smaller the pieces of meat or other food are, the faster they are cooked.

CAUTION:
Place the ingredients carefully into the hot oil. Care is required as you are frying in an open vessel and it is not possible to avoid oil splashes. Dry off the ingredients beforehand with a cloth.
- Adjust the temperature with the regulator such that the oil simmers.
- If you would like to stop the cooking process, turn the temperature regulator to the minimum setting and remove the mains plug from the socket. Allow the frying oil a considerable time to cool down. Before continuing to use the full frying pot, please ensure that it is no longer at a dangerous temperature.
Cleaning and care
- Before cleaning the machine always remove the mains plug and wait until the machine has cooled down.
- External stains can be removed with a moist cloth without using detergents.
- Remove the fat residues while they are still warm with a damp cloth or paper tissue.
- Wash the fondue pot, the attachment and accessories in the usual manner in the sink.
i NOTE:
Do not wash the fondue pot or fondue forks in the dishwasher as the wooden sections are not suitable for dishwasher use.
Only clean the base with a lightly moistened cloth without using detergents. Do not place the base in water.
- Do not use strong detergents or solvents.
