This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.
If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.
The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.
The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following: Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time.
Make sure children cannot play with the packaging material.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

Do not touch any heated surfaces. Chrome surfaces can become very hot.

If the device is not being used or cleaned, turn the device off completely and pull the plug out of the socket.

Large pieces of food or aluminium packaging must not be placed in the appliance. This could cause fire or electrical shocks. - Do not remove food residues if the plug is still in the outlet.
- Do not leave the machine behind unsupervised while it is on. This is to avoid the possibility of fire.
- Clean the toaster regularly. Do not use any food that could drip or melt when being heated. This heaping up of drips may cause unhygienic circumstances and increase the risk of fire or a malfunction of your appliance.
- Bread may burn during use. Thus supervision is required.
- Check that the voltage and the frequency are the same as those indicated on the label of the appliance.
- The plug must be connected to a suitable outlet that is installed and earthed according to all local standards and requirements.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
Before using the appliance for the first time, set it at the highest position (position 9). This will burn off any remains of production grease. The appliance will smoke slightly the first time, and release a slight odour. This is not dangerous. The appliance is now ready for use.


USE
On/off button 2 slots:
Press 1 × to switch the appliance on. The bread will be clamped and lowered into the appliance. Both slots will be heated. Press this button again to end toasting prematurely. The bread will be ejected from the appliance and no longer be clamped. After all programs have been completed, the appliance will beep 5 × .

On-off button front slot:
Press 1x to switch the appliance on. The bread will be clamped and lowered into the appliance. Only the front slot will be heated. Press to end toasting prematurely. The bread will be ejected from the appliance and no longer be clamped.

Setting the degree of browning:
When using the appliance for the first time, we recommend setting the degree of browning at position 5. Later, you can set the degree of browning to your own taste (from 1 to 9). Use for a lower position or for a higher position. The appliance itself calculates the time needed to acquire the desired degree of browning.

Defrost function:
This function allows you to toast frozen bread. Press × 1 × . Select the desired degree of browning. For thick slices, we recommend a higher setting of browning (position 5-9). Thin slices should be thawed at position 1-4. Then turn the appliance on with . It is possible to adjust the degree of browning while toasting. The time will automatically increase or decrease, depending on whether you set the degree of browning higher or lower. You can always stop the toasting by pressing .

Reheat function:
This function allows you to reheat toasted bread. Press 1 × . Then turn the appliance on by pressing. The degree of browning does not influence the time in this function. The appliance will heat up for 30 seconds.

Lift & Check:
While toasting, this function allows you to check how toasted your bread is already. Press 1x . The time will be paused and the bread will be ejected from the appliance. Then the bread will be lowered back into the slot and the time countdown will be resumed. You can always stop the toasting by pressing

Keep warm function:
If so desired, you can keep your toast warm for 3 minutes after toasting. Press 1x . Then turn the appliance on by pressing. The bread will be toasted to the degree of browning you set. After toasting, the appliance will turn on and off for the next 3 minutes, keeping the appliance at a low temperature. After 3 minutes, the bread will be ejected from the appliance and the appliance will beep 5x .

Automatic switching-off:
If the appliance becomes blocked, it automatically switches off in order to prevent overheating. Remove the plug from the outlet and allow the appliance to cool completely. Remove the blockage. Press 2 × to reset the appliance on.

Display:
After the program has ended, the display will remain lit for 2 minutes. Then the display will switch off. If you press a random button, the display will light up again.
Turning off the beep:
If you want to turn the beep off, press and at the same time for 3 seconds. When the appliance beeps 1x , the beep has been turned off. When the appliance beeps 2x , the beep has been turned on again.


CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the plug from the outlet before cleaning the appliance! This is to avoid the possibility of electrical shocks. Always allow the machine to cool completely.
Crumb tray:
The crumbs from your toast are collected in the crumb tray. It can be removed from the right-hand side of the appliance. Remove the crumbs and clean the crumb tray with a damp cloth. Then replace the crumb tray in the appliance.

Appliance:
Do not use any abrasive cleansing agents. Use only a damp cloth to clean the exterior. To remove bits of bread still stuck in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and shake it carefully. Never insert a hard or sharp object into the slots, as this could cause damage to the toaster and lead to a dangerous situation.
