USER MANUAL WH 2000 PTC EINHELL
앬 Read the operating instructions before using the appliance for the first time. The appliance may only be used as described therein. All other usages are not permitted. 앬 Keep the instructions in a safe place and give them to third parties if necessary. 앬 Check that the appliance has been delivered in perfect condition. If it has suffered any damage, do not connect the appliance to the power supply. 앬 Use the appliance only to heat room air in enclosed rooms. 앬 Not suitable for commercial purposes. 앬 Do not lay the mains cable over hot parts of the appliance during operation. 앬 Never open the appliance or touch live parts – danger of death! 앬 Do not place the appliance near wet rooms or wet areas (bathroom, shower room, swimming pool, etc.). It must not be possible for the control elements to be touched by a person in a shower, a vessel filled with liquid or the bathtub. 앬 Never use the appliance with wet hands. 앬 Position the appliance in such a way that the mains plug is accessible at all times. 앬 If the appliance is not used for a lengthy period of time, disconnect it from the mains supply. 앬 For supervised operation only. 앬 Do not use the appliance in rooms in which inflammable materials (for example solvents, etc.) or gases are used or stored. 앬 Keep highly inflammable substances and gases away from the appliance. 앬 Do not use in areas where there is a fire risk (for example wooden sheds). 앬 Only use the heater with its mains lead fully extended. 앬 Maintain a minimum distance of 75 cm from objects, walls, etc. 앬 Not suitable for installation on permanently installed electrical cables. 앬 Do not insert any foreign objects in the appliance’s openings. - Danger of electric shock and damage to the appliance. 앬 Keep children and people on medication or under the influence of alcohol away from the appliance. 앬 Maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by authorized trained personnel. 앬 Check the appliance, particularly the mains lead, for signs of damage every time before use. If the appliance is damaged, please contact an electrician or the customer-service center responsible for your country (ISC GmbH in Germany). 앬 The appliance must be fitted to the wall in a horizontal and stationary position and at least 1.8m above the floor. 앬 The appliance may not be fitted to the ceiling. 앬 Ensure that no water or other liquids seep onto or into the appliance – danger of death! 앬 When mounting the appliance in a bathroom, be sure to observe the safety distances stipulated in your country. It must not be possible for the control elements to be touched by a person in a shower, a vessel filled with liquid or the bathtub. In Germany the appliance may not be mounted within protection zone 0, 1 or 2 (in order to comply with VDE 0100 Part 701). Please refer to the regulations in your country. 앬 Connect the device to an earthed socket outlet only! 앬 Do not position the appliance directly above or below a socket. 앬 Never cover the heater as this can lead to a build- up of heat and cause damage to the appliance or fire.

3. Mounting on the wall (Fig. 2)
Read the safety instructions in section 1. Important! Make sure that there are no electric cables or other installations (for example water pipes) near the drill holes. Ensure that the appliance is firmly and horizontally fitted to the wall. You must always ensure that a distance of at least 75 cm is kept between the front side of the heater and other objects. Do not let hot air blow onto combustible objects; it is imperative to observe a distance of 1 m. 앬 Mark the positions of the drill holes for the two wall hooks (1) on the wall. Note: The drill holes are arranged 560 mm apart horizontally. 앬 Drill the holes, insert the dowels and fasten the wall hooks (1) to the wall. 앬 The appliance is then fastened to the wall using an additional holder (2). Push the holder into the prepared notch (3) of the housing as far is it will go and pull the holder tight on the housing. 앬 Hang the appliance on the wall hooks. 앬 Mark the drill hole (4), drill the hole, insert the dowel and fasten the holder to the wall with the provided screw. Note: The mains cable must be laid upwards through the provided notch.
The appliance is designed only for private use, not for commercial heating purposes.
앬 Important! Before using the appliance for the first time, check that the voltage supply is the same as the voltage details set out on the data plate. Read the safety instructions listed in section 1.
6.1 Function switch (Fig. 3):
All modes and functions can be set using the pushbuttons on the appliance as well as with the remote control. The remote control runs on 2 batteries type “AAA“. Make sure that the poles are not reversed when you change the batteries. Used batteries must be disposed off properly.
6.1.1 Cool blow mode
앬 Press the “ON/OFF” button (1), the device turns itself on and runs in the cool blow mode (no heating output); LED 5 comes on. Press the button (1) again and the device shuts down.
앬 1000 watts: Press the “ON/OFF” button (1), then the “Heater” button (3) - the device runs on the lowest heat setting, LEDs 5 and 6 come on; press the “ON/OFF” button (1) to turn off the device again. If there is still residual heat, the fan will continue to run and LED 5 will flash. The appliance shuts down as soon as the residual heat has been dissipated. 앬 2000 watts: Press the “ON/OFF” button (1), then press the “Heater” button (3) twice – the device runs on the highest heat setting, LEDs 5, 6 and 8 come on; press the “Heater” button again and the device changes to cool blow mode; press the “ON/OFF” button (1) and the device shuts down. If there is still residual heat, the fan will continue to run and LED 5 will flash. The appliance shuts down as soon as the residual heat has been dissipated.
6.1.3 Timer function (Time)
앬 Set the cool blow mode or heating mode as describe above, press the “Timer” button (4) once; the appliance runs with the timer function and shuts down automatically after 1 hour. The timer can be set for a period from 1 to 7 hours by repeatedly pressing the “Timer” button (4). The 1 to 4 hours LEDs light up in different combinations depending on the selected timer period (for example if 3 hours are selected, LEDs 1h + 2h will light up). To turn off the timer function press the “Timer” button (4) once more after selecting the 7 hours period, or turn off the device completely with the “ON/OFF” button (1). Important! After turning off the appliance the fan will continue to run until the heater has completely cooled down.
6.1.4 The “Swing” function of the air outlet slats
앬 Set the cool blow mode or heating mode as described above. Press the “Swing” button (3). The “Swing function” of the air outlet slats is activated, enabling the slats to be swung up and down electrically. 앬 To switch off the “Swing” function and have the appliance blow in one specific direction, press the “Swing” button (4) again. 앬 If the “Swing” function is selected together with the cool blow mode the appliance will not continue to run after the “ON/OFF” button is pressed.
7. Overheating guard
In case of excessive heating, the heating function shuts down automatically. If this occurs, turn off the appliance, disconnect the mains plug and wait a few minutes for the appliance to cool. After eliminating the cause (e.g. a covered air grille), the appliance can be switched on again. 8. Maintenance and cleaning
앬 Maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by an electrical servicing contractor or your customer service center. 앬 Check the mains lead at regular intervals for signs of defects or damage. A damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an electrician or ISC GmbH in compliance with the relevant regulations. 앬 Important: Disconnect the mains lead before cleaning – danger of electric shock. 앬 Use a damp cloth to clean the casing.
