Initial operation

Battery Mode

  • Open battery compartment cover of the product.
  • Insert 2 × AA batteries observing polarity ("+ " and "- marks)
  • Close the Battery compartment cover again.

Power adapter Mode

  • Inserting the adapter AC output plug into the product power jack, plug the AC input of the adapter into the mains socket of electricity.
  • Only use the included adapter: HX018-0500150-A2E

Note:

  • The icons on the LCD display will briefly light up for 3 seconds after the clock is fully powered, and you will hear a beep tone, and detect indoor temperature.

Reception of the Radio signal

  • Press and hold the button -·^ C / ·^ F for 2 seconds to enter the RCC

A11:00/2:00/3:00 (AM), the clock automatically carries out the synchronization procedure with the DCF77 signal to correct any deviations to the exact time. If this synchronization attempt is unsuccessful (the radio mast icon disappears from the display), the

  • Radio reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g.: in cellars) and in offices. In such extreme circumstances, place the system close to the window.

Manual time setting

Notes:

  • If there is no valid operation within 20 seconds, it will automatically return to normal time display mode from the setting mode.
  • When adjusting the value, press and hold the "+" or "-" button to adjust quickly.
  • When choosing the 12Hr format, if “PM” is displayed before the hours, it means that the hour is after noon.

Alarm setting

  • Press the button " ” to display the alarm symbol and separately, together( ) or none of them. The alarm icons indicate the enabled alarms. Each one can be turned on, off, separately or both at the same time.
  • Press once button “” to switching display alarm 1 time, press button “” again, LCD display alarm 2 time, press button “” again, return to time display.
  • When alarm 1 is displayed, press and hole button “ ” for 2 seconds until hour of the alarm 1 time starts to flash, press the “+” or “-”

button to set the required hour.

  • Press button “ ” to confirm your setting, the minute of the alarm 1 time starts to flash, press the “+” or “-” button to set the required minute.
  • Press button “ ” to confirm your setting and to end the setting of Alarm1.
  • When Alarm 2 is displayed, press and hole button “ ” for 2 seconds until hour of the alarm 2 time starts to flash, press the “+” or “-” button to set the required hour.
  • Press button “” to confirm your setting, the minute of the alarm 2 time starts to flash, press the “+” or “-” button to set the required minute.
  • Press button “ ” to confirm your setting and to end the setting of alarm 2.

Notes:

  • If there is no valid operation within 20 seconds, it will automatically return to normal time display mode from the setting mode.
  • When adjusting the value, press and hold the "+" or "-" button to adjust quickly.
  • The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if you do not deactivate it by pressing any button. In this case the alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours.

Turn OFF the alarm sound

  • When the alarm is ringing, press any button except the "SNOOZE" button to stop the alarm sound.
  • This time of the next day will ring again.

Snoopze function

  • When the alarm is ringing, press the "SNOOZE" button the alarm sounds to get to snooze mode. The alarm signal sounds again after 8

minutes.

Switching ^ C or ^ F

  • Press “ ” button once to switching the temperature unit in °C or °F.

Backlight and Projection function Battery Mode

  • Press "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button once to active backlight and projection for 8 seconds (the projection function is turned ON)

Power adapter Mode

  • When using the adapter supply, the backlight and projection will always light up, press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button to adjust the backlight brightness or set it to OFF. The order is: light medium dark OFF light medium dark......
  • Press the button the projection display will rotate 180 degrees.

Note:

  • When the projection is triggered, the projection distance is about 2 meters.

Low battery indicator

Under battery operation, when the low battery indicator " displayed, replace with 2 new AA size batteries. Pay attention to the battery polarity.

Environmental reception effects

The clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the reception is maybe affected by the following circumstances:

  • long transmitting distance
  • nearby mountains and valleys
  • near freeway, railway, airports, high voltage cable etc.
  • near construction site
    among tall buildings
  • inside concrete buildings
  • near electrical appliances (computers, TV's, etc) and metallic structures
  • inside moving vehicles

Place the clock at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical appliances.

Precautions

  • This main unit is intended to be used only indoors.
  • Do not subject the unit to excessive force or shock.
  • Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust or humidity.
  • Do not immerse in water.
  • Avoid contact with any corrosive materials.

Batteries safety warnings

  • Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries.
  • Install batteries correctly by matching the polarities (+/-) .
  • Always replace a complete set of batteries.

  • Remove exhausted batteries immediately.
  • Remove batteries when not in use.
