Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8

years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience

EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol denotes a possible hazard which could cause injury or damage to the appliance. This symbol indicates a potential burning hazard. Please be espe- cially careful at all times here. This symbol alerts to hazards if the appliance is operated in con- tainers filled with water, or in the vicinity of containers filled with water. CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do

not play with the appliance.

6. Only connect the appliance to alternating current with

voltage in accordance with the rating plate.

7. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or

remote control system.

8. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

Protect the appliance from moisture.

9. For safety reasons never use the appliance in the vici

nity of a bath tub or sink filled with water, or in the vicinity of other vessels filled with water.

Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot parts.

11. To unplug the appliance, only pull on the plug, never

pull directly on the power cord.

12. Always ensure that the power cord is laid out its entire

13. As additional protection, we recommend installation

of a residual current device (RCD/FI) with a tripping characteristic of not more than 30 mA in the bathroom power circuit. Consult with your electrician.

14. The appliance is intended for household use only; it is

not designed for commercial requirements.

15. Do not use the appliance outdoors.

16. During operation, leave sufficient space between the

appliance and walls and other flammable objects such as curtains.

unobstructed at all times. Clean the air inlet grille at regular intervals.

The appliance is very hot during and after operation! Never open the housing of the appliance. There is danger of electric shock. For safety reasons never use the appliance close to or in a bathtub or washbasin or any other con- tainer filled with water. If the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it from the wall socket after use, since nearby water presents a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off.

28. Do not insert any objects into the appliance, due to

the ensuing damage, there is danger of electric shock.

29. Only use the appliance for the purposes described in

sories of other manufacturers or brands.

Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in electric shock.

32. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear

or damage. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our customer service organisation. Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks to the user and will void the warranty. The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety devices. Keep

2. After washing your hair, dry it thoroughly with a towel.

1. Detach the air intake screen by turning it counter clockwise. Clean the screen

from dust and fluff using a paint brush or a small brush. Reattach the air intake screen by turning it clockwise until it latches into place. Reattach the screen to the hair dryer as described above.

2. Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

3. Do not use any scrubbing sponges, abrasive agents, steel wool, metal objects,

disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, since they can damage the appliance.

4. The concentrator and the diffuser can be rinsed with water, if necessary. The

attachable accessories must be completely dry before using them again. 0 = off 1 = soft air stream, ideal to style your hair 2 = medium air stream for drying and styling

5. The cool shot serves to stabilise the styling and give more body. Keep the cool

shot button pressed during operation to obtain a cold air stream.

6. If desired, following accessories may be used:

Concentrator The concentrator allows for drying hair parts individually and precisely. After use the concentrator can be simply detached from the appliance. In order to avoid burns it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and the attachments have cooled off. Diffuser The diffuser gives the hair more volume, nature curls and permanent waves more body and a natural look. Knead your hair with your fingers while drying them with the diffuser attached to the appliance. Only use only the lower blower and heat settings. Both attachments can be easily detached by pulling. In order to avoid burns it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and the attachments have cooled off. Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation! STORAGE GUARANTEE CONDITIONS We guarantee our appliances for 24 months, or in case of commercial use for 12 months, from the date of purchase in case of defects that occur during normal use and are demonstrably due to a factory fault. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replace- ment, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modi- fications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular main- tenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
