1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience

and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the applicance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

1. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

2. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

3. CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

4. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

5. Only connect the appliance to alternating current with voltage in accordance with the rating plate.

6. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or remote control system.

7. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Protect the appliance from moisture.

8. For safety reasons never use the appliance in the vicinity of a bath tub or sink filled with water, or in the vicinity of other vessels filled with water.

9. Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot parts.

10. To unplug the appliance, only pull on the plug, never pull directly on the power cord.

15. During operation, leave sufficient space between the appliance and walls and other flammable objects such as curtains.
16. Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources.
17. Ensure that the air intake grille in the appliance is unobstructed at all times. Clean the air inlet grille at regular intervals.
18. Never cover the air inlet grille or the air outlet opening with your hand or other objects.
19. If you have curlers, hairpins or similar items in your hear, ensure that they do not project more than 10 mm, to avoid contact with energised parts of the hair dryer.
20. For safety reasons, do not use the appliance to dry artificial hair.
21. To avoid burns, never aim the hot air flow directly at your face.
22. Do not use any hair sprays while the appliance is in operation.
23. Switch off the appliance before you set it down.
24. The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection circuit. If operated for too long, the appliance switches off automatically to prevent damage to the appliance. After an appropriate cool-down time, you can place the appliance in service again.
25. After use or prior to cleaning the appliance, always switch off and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool.

26. As long as the plug is in the electrical outlet, even if the appliance is switched off, the appliance poses a hazard in the vicinity of water.

27. Do not insert any objects into the appliance, due to the ensuing damage, there is danger of electric shock.

28. Only use the appliance for the purposes described in these instructions.
29. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
30. Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in electric shock.
31. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or damage. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our customer service organisation. Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks to the user and will void the warranty.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

Never open the housing of the appliance. There is danger of electric shock.

For safety reasons never use the appliance close to or in a bathtub or washbasin or any other container filled with water. If the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it from the wall socket after use, since nearby water presents a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

OPERATION

1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety devices. Keep packaging material out of reach of children. Danger of suffocation!
2. After washing your hair, dry it thoroughly with a towel.
3. Connect the plug to a wall socket.
4. Switch the appliance on using and select the desired blower settings. The following settings may be selected:

EIN/AUS (ON/OFF) switch and blower:

0 = off

1 = soft air stream, ideal to style your hair
2 = medium air stream for drying and styling

1. The cool shot serves to stabilise the styling and give more body. Keep the cool shot button pressed during operation to obtain a cold air stream.

2. If desired, following accessories may be used:

Concentrator

The concentrator allows for drying hair parts individually and precisely. After use the concentrator can be simply detached from the appliance. In order to avoid burns it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and the attachments have cooled off.

Diffuser

The diffuser gives the hair more volume, nature curls and permanent waves more body and a natural look.

Knead your hair with your fingers while drying them with the diffuser attached to the appliance.

Only use only the lower blower and heat settings.

Both attachments can be easily detached by pulling. In order to avoid burns it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and the attachments have cooled off.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

CLEANING AND CARE

Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.

Let the appliance cool off.

Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other liquids to clean them.

1. Detach the air intake screen by turning it counter clockwise. Clean the screen from dust and fluff using a paint brush or a small brush. Reattach the air intake screen by turning it clockwise until it latches into place. Reattach the screen to the hair dryer as described above.
2. Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
3. Do not use any scrubbing sponges, abrasive agents, steel wool, metal objects, disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, since they can damage the appliance.
4. The concentrator and the diffuser can be rinsed with water, if necessary. The attachable accessories must be completely dry before using them again.

STORAGE

Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.

Let the appliance cool off.

Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other liquids to clean them.

1. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance to prevent damage to the power cord.
2. The appliance has a suspension eye via which you can hang up the appliance.
3. Protect the appliance from dust.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We guarantee our appliances for 24 months, or in case of commercial use for 12 months, from the date of purchase in case of defects that occur during normal use and are demonstrably due to a factory fault. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
