USER MANUAL Snake 87046 UNOLD
1. Please read the following instruc-
tions and keep them on hand for later reference.
2. This appliance is not intended for
use by persons (including child- ren) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience or limited knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or have been instructed on how to use the appliance.
3. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Connect appliance only to an AC
power supply with voltage as spe- cified on the rating plate.
5. Do not operate this appliance with
an external timer or remote con- trol system.
6. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids. Protect the appliance from moisture.
7. For safety reasons never use the
appliance in the vicinity of a bath tub or sink filled with water, or in the vicinity of other vessels filled with water.
8. Ensure that the power cord does
not come into contact with hot parts.
9. To unplug the appliance, only pull
on the plug, never pull directly on the power cord.
10. Always ensure that the power cord
is laid out its entire length to pre- vent damage due to overheating.
11. As additional protection, we
recommend installation of a resi- dual current device (RCD/FI) with a tripping characteristic of not more than 30 mA in the bathroom power circuit. Consult with your electrician.
12. The appliance is intended for
household use only; it is not designed for commercial require- ments.
13. Do not use the appliance out-
14. During operation, leave sufficient
space between the appliance and walls and other flammable objects such as curtains.
15. Do not operate the appliance in
the vicinity of heat sources.15
16. Ensure that the air intake grille in
the appliance is unobstructed at all times. Clean the air inlet grille at regular intervals.
17. Never cover the air inlet grille or
the air outlet opening with your hand or other objects.
18. If you have curlers, hairpins or
similar items in your hear, ensure that they do not project more than 10 mm, to avoid contact with energised parts of the hair dryer.
19. For safety reasons, do not use the
appliance to dry artificial hair.
20. To avoid burns, never aim the hot
air flow directly at your face.
21. Do not use any hair sprays while
the appliance is in operation.
22. Switch off the appliance before
23. The appliance is equipped with
an overheating protection circuit. If operated for too long, the appli- ance switches off automatically to prevent damage to the appliance. After an appropriate cool-down time, you can place the appliance in service again.
24. After use or prior to cleaning the
appliance, always switch off and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool.
25. As long as the plug is in the elec-
trical outlet, even if the appliance is switched off, the appliance poses a hazard in the vicinity of water.
26. Do not insert any objects into the
appliance, due to the ensuing damage, there is danger of elec- tric shock.
27. Only use the appliance for the
purposes described in these ins- tructions.
28. To avoid damage, do not use the
appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
29. Never open the housing of the
appliance. This can result in elec- tric shock.
30. Check the plug and the power
cord regularly for wear or damage. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance for inspection and/ or repair to our customer service organisation (for address, see warranty terms). Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks to the user and will void the war- ranty.
31. If the power cord of this appliance
is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer’s customer service organisation, or by a person with similar qualifications, to prevent hazards. Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation! Never open the housing of the appliance. There is danger of electric shock. For safety reasons never use the appliance close to or in a bathtub or washbasin or any other container filled with water. If the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it from the wall socket after use, since nearby water presents a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off. The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties. oPeratIon
1. Remove all packaging materials
and transport safeguards. Due to danger of suffocation, keep children away from the packaging materials.
2. After washing your hair, dry off
hair well with a towel.
3. Plug the plug of the appliance into
an electrical outlet (220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz).4. Switch on the appliance and select the desired level. The fol- lowing settings are available: 0 = OFF 1 = Gentle air flow, ideal for styling hair 2 = Moderate air flow, for drying and styling hair
5. The cool shot serves to stabilise
the styling and give more body. Keep the cool shot button pressed during operation to obtain a cool air stream.
6. If desired you can fit on the fol-
lowing accessories: Concentrator nozzle
7. With the concentrator nozzle you
can dry specific parts of your hair.
8. After use you can simply pull
the concentrator nozzle off of the appliance. However, to pre- vent burn injuries wait until the appliance and the fit-on part have cooled before pulling off the fit-on part. Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

slightly damp cloth.
5. Do not use sponges that can

6. If needed, you can clean the
concentrator nozzle under flow- ing water. In this case, allow the nozzle to dry completely before using the nozzle again. Storage

Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.18
