FOR YOUR SAFETY

1. Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience or limited knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or have been instructed on how to use the appliance.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Connect appliance only to an AC power supply with voltage as specified on the rating plate.
5. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or remote control system.
6. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Protect the appliance from moisture.

7. For safety reasons never use the appliance in the vicinity of a bath tub or sink filled with water, or in the vicinity of other vessels filled with water.

8. Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot parts.

9. To unplug the appliance, only pull on the plug, never pull directly on the power cord.
10. Always ensure that the power cord is laid out its entire length to prevent damage due to overheating.
11. As additional protection, we recommend installation of a residual current device (RCD/FI) with a tripping characteristic of not more than 30 mA in the bathroom power circuit. Consult with your electrician.
12. The appliance is intended for household use only; it is not designed for commercial requirements.
13. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
14. During operation, leave sufficient space between the appliance and walls and other flammable objects such as curtains.

15. Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources.

16. Ensure that the air intake grille in the appliance is unobstructed at all times. Clean the air inlet grille at regular intervals.

17. Never cover the air inlet grille or the air outlet opening with your hand or other objects.
18. If you have curlers, hairpins or similar items in your hear, ensure that they do not project more than 10 mm, to avoid contact with energised parts of the hair dryer.
19. For safety reasons, do not use the appliance to dry artificial hair.
20. To avoid burns, never aim the hot air flow directly at your face.
21. Do not use any hair sprays while the appliance is in operation.
22. Switch off the appliance before you set it down.
23. The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection circuit. If operated for too long, the appliance switches off automatically to prevent damage to the appliance. After an appropriate cool-down time, you can place the appliance in service again.
24. After use or prior to cleaning the appliance, always switch off and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool.
25. As long as the plug is in the electrical outlet, even if the appliance is switched off, the appliance poses a hazard in the vicinity of water.

26. Do not insert any objects into the appliance, due to the ensuing damage, there is danger of electric shock.

27. Only use the appliance for the purposes described in these instructions.

28. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
29. Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in electric shock.
30. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or damage. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our customer service organisation (for address, see warranty terms). Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks to the user and will void the warranty.
31. If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer's customer service organisation, or by a person with similar qualifications, to prevent hazards.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

Never open the housing of the appliance. There is danger of electric shock.

For safety reasons never use the appliance close to or in a bathtub or washbasin or any other container filled with water. If the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it from the wall socket after use, since nearby water presents a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

VOLTAGE COMMUTATION

Before connecting the appliance please check if the voltage selector is adjusted to the right voltage (110–120/220-240 V\~). To change the selection a coin may be used.

OPERATION

1. Remove all packaging materials and transport safeguards. Due to danger of suffocation, keep children away from the packaging materials.
2. After washing your hair, dry off hair well with a towel.
3. Using the switch installed on one side, the appliance can be switched from 110–120 V\~ to 220–240 V\~. Before connecting the appliance, please check the local voltage and adjust the appliance to the right voltage using a coin or something similar.
4. Plug the plug of the appliance into an electrical outlet.
5. Switch on the appliance and select the desired level. The following settings are available: 0 = OFF 1 = Gentle air flow, ideal for styling hair

2 = Moderate air flow, for drying and styling hair

1. The cool shot serves to stabilise the styling and give more body. Keep the cool shot button pressed during operation to obtain a cool air stream.
2. If desired you can fit on the following accessories: Concentrator nozzle
3. With the concentrator nozzle you can dry specific parts of your hair.
4. After use you can simply pull the concentrator nozzle off of the appliance. However, to prevent burn injuries wait until the appliance and the fit-on part have cooled before pulling off the fit-on part.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

CLEANING AND CARE

1. Unplug the plug from the electrical outlet
2. Allow the appliance to cool.
3. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids in order to clean it.
4. Wipe off the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
5. Do not use sponges that can scratch, scouring agents, steel

wool, metal objects, disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, as they can damage the appliance.

1. If needed, you can clean the concentrator nozzle under flowing water. In this case, allow the nozzle to dry completely before using the nozzle again.

STORAGE

1. Unplug the plug from the electrical outlet.
2. Allow the appliance to cool.

3. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance to prevent damage to the power cord.

4. The appliance has a suspension eye via which you can hang up the appliance.

5. Protect the appliance from dust.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We guarantee our appliances for 24 months, or in case of commercial use for 12 months, from the date of purchase in case of defects that occur during normal use and are demonstrably due to a factory fault. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option.

Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal.

Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products.

By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
