REFERENCEE. Read all instructions before assembling and using the soft carrier. General information If you cannot adjust the Stokke® MyCarrier™ according to the instructions in this user guide, do not use the product. Informational statements: Keep instructions for future use Check to assure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabric and damaged fasteners before each use Ensure proper placement of child in product including leg placement Child must face towards you until he or she can hold head upright Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under 4 months are at greatest risk of suocation. For low birthweight babies and children with medical conditions, seek advice from a health professional before using the product. Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking and cleaning which involve a heat source or exposure to chemicals Never wear a soft carrier while driving or being a passenger in a motor vehicle Use a mirror to check how the baby is seated in the carrier Using the front carrier - Facing inwards When facing inwards in your Stokke® MyCarrier™ your child has a broad seating position with good support for their back, buttocks and thighs. When to use: From 4 weeks (minimum 3.5 kg /7.7 lb and 53 cm/21inch.) Babies need variation. We therefore recommend that you limit the time a newborn is spending in the Stokke® MyCarrier™ to 20 minutes in the beginning. How to use: Adjust your Stokke® MyCarrier™ so that you can easily kiss the top of your baby’s head. For a tall person, this means that you have to put the waist belt quite high around your waist, and adjust the shoulder straps to achieve this position. As the child grows, you can gradually lower the waist belt. When attaching the front carrier to the shoulder straps, place the attachment strap at the same level as your armpit. Adjust the width of the front carrier so that your baby has good back support. The baby must not slide down, as this can aect their breathing. Your baby´s head should be fully supported. To achieve this, slide the buckles on your harness up or down and adjust the length of the straps on the front carrier until this position is achieved. Make sure that the baby always has enough space around their mouth and nose to be able to breathe normally. Using the front carrier - facing outwards Your child has good support for their back, buttocks and thighs when facing outwards in Stokke® MyCarrier™. When to use: Only to be used once the child can hold their head unaided. Every child is unique, but a rough guide is around 5 months. How to use: Before placing your baby in the outward facing position, remember to open the zipper positioned in the middle of the front carrier and fold away the wide textile. When carrying outwards, consider lowering the attachment strap. Using the back carrier When sitting on your back in Stokke® MyCarrier ™ the child has a broad seating position and has good support of their back, buttocks and thighs. When to use: When the child is 9 months and can sit unaided, you can begin using the back carrier. How to use: Adjust the Stokke® MyCarrier™ so that your child can see over your shoulder. If you are alone, stand in front of a mirror when using the back carrier. In this way, you can see that the child is positioned properly on your back. Use a pocket mirror to regularly check that your child is ok. If the child falls asleep, attach the sleep support that can be found in the pocket of the back carrier. There is an adjustable seat inside the back carrier. The highest position is for children up to about 1,5 year. Maintenance Wash at 40°C. Remove the aluminum bars before washing. Use detergent without bleach. Gently spin-dry. Stretch when wet to keep original shape. Dry at at room temperature, away from sunlight or direct heat. DO NOT tumble dry or iron. Cotton version: The cotton used for Stokke MyCarrier can fade over time, like a pair of jeans. WARNIN G
