READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ASSEMBLY AND USE OF PRODUCT. KEEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.
Safe Sleep
- As soon as your baby comes home, she/he will need a safe place to sleep. Pediatrics recommends that babies sleep in their parents' room (but not the same bed) for the first six months or, ideally, for the first year. Having a sturdy, secure crib or bassinet for baby is essential.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician, a firm mattress with a light-fitting sheet will be needed as well. - Keep soft objects and loose bedding away from the infant's sleep area to reduce the risk of SIDS, suffocation, entrapment, and strangulation.
* Stokke recommends following The American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for safe infant sleeping environments: www.healthychildren.org
General Instructions
Read these instructions carefully and follow them in detail to ensure that the safety features of the bassinet and crib are not compromised. Keep these instructions for later use.
- Make sure the Stokke ^® Snoozi ^™ is placed on a level and stable surface. After assembly, check all fittings. Loose connections or parts could lead to the baby trapping a body part, or clothing (e.g. strings, necklaces, ribbons for babies' dummies, etc.) which would pose a risk of strangulation.
- Make sure there are no loose parts in the bassinet or crib which a child could swallow, as this could lead to suffocation or choking. Make sure there are no loose parts in the crib that could provide a foothold for your child.
-
Never place the Stokke® Snoozi™ by an open fire or source of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. due to the risk of fire.
-
Do not use the Stokke® Snoozi™ if any parts are damaged or missing.
- Place the Stokke ^TM Snoozi ^TM in reasonable distance from curtains, blinds, heaters and power points.
- To ensure a safe environment for the child, check regularly, before placing the child in the bassinet or crib, that every component is properly and securely in place.
