USER MANUAL Speepi Extension Bed STOKKE
Extension Junior2 User guide UK/IE Congratulations with your new STOKKE® SLEEPI™! With STOKKE® SLEEPI™ you have a bed that can be used from birth and it grows with your child. Stokke® Sleepi™ Mini When a child is able to sit, kneel or to pull itself up, the Mini shall not be used anymore for this child. Make sure that the distance from the mattress to the top of the Mini is never less than 20 cm. You will have no problems if the original mattress from STOKKE is used. Do not let other children play unsupervised near the Mini. Make sure the Mini is locked in a fixed position when a child is unsupervised in it. Stokke® Sleepi™ Bed The cot base height can be adjusted at all four basic heights. Make sure that the distance from the mattress to the top of the cot is never less than 30 cm in the highest position and 50 cm in the lowest position. This level is marked at the cot end ( ). You will have no problems if the original mattress from STOKKE is used. The lowest position of the cot base is always the safest. As soon as the baby can sit up or pull itself up, the cot base must be lowered. Make sure to keep medication, string, elastic, small toys or small items such as money out of reach from any position in the cot. To prevent injuries from falls when your child can climb in and out of the bed by itself, you shall no longer use the Sleepi™ Bed as a cot. You can consider removing one side of the cot and adjust the cot base to the upper position. This way your child can climb safely in and out of the cot by itself. If you do this it is important to remove the wheels. Cleaning and maintenance MAT TRESS: Mattress cover: Washable at 60°C. Stretch while wet. Do not use tumble drier. Foam: Can be heat treated in 60°C and washed/flushed in hot water. After a pee accident, the mattress should always be washed; pee is excellent growth media for fungi. WOOD: Wipe with a clean damp cloth, wipe off excess of water. We do not recommend any use of detergent. Colours may change if they are exposed to the sun. NORMAL USE: Always remove the dove in the morning and let the bed and dove ”cool down” and dry up.
RECOMMENDED MATTRESS SIZE
This cot has been manufactured for use with a mattress which measures 677 mm wide by 1210 mm long and 80 mm in thickness for Sleepi and 573 mm wide by 733 mm long and 80 mm in thickness for Mini and have the shape of the cot/mini-cot. The width and length are specified because it is important that the gaps between the mattress and the sides and ends of the cot will not exceed 30 mm. This is to minimize the risk of a child’s limb becoming caught in the gap. The thickness of the mattress has been specified to ensure that the depth of the cot is greater than 500 mm with the mattress base in the lower position to minimize the risk of a child climbing or falling out of the cot. Information about your new mattress Compressed mattresses regain their original shape after 72-96 hours Polyurethane-foam has a distinctive odour which may lin- ger a few days after unpacking. The odour will disappear. Airing and vacuuming the mattress will help to eliminate the odour. The foam reacts to he ultraviolet light from the sun and the oxygen from the air and will turn yellow with time. WARNING Read these instructions carefully and follow them in detail to ensure that the safety features of the Mini and cot are not compromised. Keep these instructions for later use. Save the Allen key for later use. Re-tighten all screws 2-3 weeks after assembly. When assembling the Mini or cot do not tighten the screws until the whole unit is assembled. Doing this ensures you the easiest way to assemble. Make sure the Mini or cot is placed on a level and stable surface. After assembly, check and tighten all fittings and screws. Fittings and screws should be checked regularly and retightened as necessary. Loose screw connections or parts could lead to the baby trapping a body part, or clothing (e.g. strings, necklaces, ribbons for babies’ dummies, etc.) which would pose a risk of strangulation. Never place the Mini or cot by an open fire or sources of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. due to the risk of fire. Do not use the Mini or cot if any part is broken, torn or missing, and use only spareparts approved by STOKKE®. Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to another product, which could provide a foothold or present danger of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords etc. Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
