Congratulations! Choosing BABYBJORN Baby Carrier We will ensure a long-lasting ergonomic carrying and maximum comfort for you and child from newborn up to approx. three years. The baby carrier's parts

CHOOSEHEIGHT

For newborn: close the Newborn height zip entirely. Interval 62~68 cm and up to 100 cm: use the Lower baby height (open zip). When in interval to start with lower Baby Height depends on baby's proportions and what you both find comfortable.

How to put on the baby carrier

1. Put on the baby carrier like a pullover sweater.

2. Place the back yoke where it is comfortable by adjusting it vertically and sideways. Keep the back yoke low for best comfort.

3. Buckle the waist belt at your back. It is locked when you hear a click. Tighten by pulling the straps evenly on both sides.

How to place your child in the baby carrier

1. Loosen the shoulder straps by lifting the outer edge of the buckles.

2. Unbutton the head support on both sides by pushing the button and pulling upwards. Unbutton the front buckle by pushing the button and pulling downwards/inwards.

IMPORTANT!

A child too big to use the armholes can rest their arms above the armholes.

4. Fasten the front buckle and the head support buckle on both sides. It is locked when you hear a click.

5. Adjust the head support. To tighten, carefully pull the adjustment straps. To loosen, lift the outer edge of the buckles.

3. Place the child in the baby carrier facing you, with the legs on either side of the front, and the arms through the armholes.

6. Tighten by pulling the shoulder straps evenly on both sides. Fasten the leg straps on both sides for
a child smaller than 4.5kg

How to remove your child

Unfasten the leg straps if they are being used. Unfasten the head support buckles. Loosen the shoulder straps and unfasten the front buckle. Take out your child.

How to carry your child on your back

From 12 months of age your child is big enough to be carried on your back. Start by placing your child in the baby carrier facing you, see pics 1-3 and 1-6 on previous pages. Then follow the instructions below.

1. Loosen the shoulder straps by lifting the outer edge of the buckles.

2. Slip your right arm upwards under the shoulder strap.

3. Slip your left arm downwards under the lower part of the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is now a closed loop around your body.

IMPORTANT!

Do not hold onto the safety buckle when moving your child round to your back.

1. Lift your child from underneath and carefully move him or her round your body under your lifted right arm.

2. Lift the right shoulder strap back in place. Make sure it is not twisted.

1. Slide the left shoulder strap back in place. Place the back yoke where it is comfortable by adjusting it vertically and sideways. Tighten waist belt and shoulder straps.

How to remove your child from the back

With your child on your back, please follow steps 1-6 again. But this time, move your child round from your back to your front under your lifted right arm.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Wash separately. Use an eco-friendly, gentle, bleach-free detergent. We recommend using a washing bag.

WARNING!

• This carrier is intended for use by adults only.
• For low birthweight babies and children with medical conditions, seek advice from a health professional before using the product.
  Only use this carrier for children weighing 3.5 - 15kg
• For children of 0–approx. 4 months always use the upper newborn height.
• Small children can fall through a leg opening. The leg straps must be used for baby weighing 3.5 - 4.5kg .
• This carrier must not be used as a back carrier for children younger than 12 months.
• This carrier may only be used when you are walking, sitting or standing.
• This carrier is NOT suitable for use during sporting activities.
• This carrier must not be used as a car seat.
• Your balance may be adversely affected by your movement and that of your child.

Take care when bending or leaning forward or sideways. Remember to bend at the knees NOT the waist.
- Make sure the child's nose and mouth have sufficient space for breathing in the carrier.
- Avoid dressing your child too warmly.
- Check that all buckles are securely fastened before using the carrier.
- Stop using the carrier if parts are missing or damaged.
- Never lie down or sleep with your child in the carrier.
- Regularly check that your child is comfortably and securely seated in the carrier, especially when using as a back carrier.
- Be aware of hazards in the domestic environment e.g. heat sources, spilling of hot drinks.
