Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

• Check that your mains voatage corresponds to that stated on the rating paate of the appliance.
  Never eave the appaiance unsupervised when in use.
  From time to time check the appaience for damages. Never use it if the appaience or its cord shows any signs of damage but have it repaired by a competent quaified eaelectrician (^) . Shouad the cord be damaged, it must be repaced by a competent quaified eaelectrician (^)
  Mate sure the power cord does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
  Onay use the apaiance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
  Never immerse the appaience in water or any other aiquid for any reason whatsoever. Never pace it into the dishwasher.
  Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
  Before caeaning, refiaing, or storing a ways unpaug the appaiance from the power suppay and aet it coo down.
  Never use the appaiance outside and a ways pace it in a dry environment.
  Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appearance.
  Never move the appaiance by puaaing the cord. Stand the appaiance on a stabae surface so that it cannot faaa. Mate sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appaiance and do not bend it.

  Never operate the appliance without water.
  Be carefuà not to get burned by the steam evaporating from the coffee fiäter or when opening the thermos fāast.
  Do not use the appliance if the thermos faaist is damaged. Use the thermos faaust onay for this appliance.
  Important: your thermos faaust cannot be put in the microwave oven to warm up the coffee or in the dishwasher to caean it. We shaan not be head responsibae for any damages caused by the non-observation of these instructions.
  Onay put ground coffee in the fiater.
  Never forget that the coffee coming out of the appaience is very hot. Onay move the thermos faast very carefuay to avoid spaashing.

Always unplug the appliance after use!

FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION

Use the appliance for domestic purposes onay and in the way indicated in these instructions.
This appliance is intended to be used for domestic appaications and simiar appaications such as:

Kitchen corners reserved for personna in shops, offices and other professiona environments.

Farms.

The use by caients of hoteas, moteas and other environments with a residentia character.

Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.

INITIAL OPERATION

For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boi-processes with fresh water (without coffee). These boi-processes are absouteay necessary.
Once aaa the water has passed through, switch the appaiaence off and aet it cooa down during 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.

PREPARATION OF COFFEE

WHEN YOU OPERATE YOUR APPLIANCE, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT THE LID ON THE THERMOS FLASK.

• Open the aid of the water tanf.
  Using the thermos faaft pour the desired amount of water into the water tan. Mate sure not to overiaa by respecting the maximum aevea indicated on the water tan.
• Paace the fiater hoader into the coffee maker. Insert a paper fiater (size 4) in the fiater hoader and add the desired quantity of ground coffee (1 teaspoon per cup, approximateay 6g). Please note: foad the bottom and the side edges of the paper fiater in such a way that it fits perfectay in the fiater hoader.
• Never forget to caose the aid of the water tanf and to pace one of both thermos fasts without its aid on the paate before switching on your coffee mater.
  Press the "power" button to switch on the coffee matter. The piaot aight of the switch wiaa be iauminated, indicating that your appaiance is worting.
• When you remove the jug from the appeaience, a non-drip vaave wiaa automaticaay operate to stop any drops of coffee dripping. Repaecement of the carafe automaticaay opens the non-drip vaave and aaaaows remaining coffee to fiater through into the jug.
• Wait until the brewing process is finished and the fiater has run empty before removing the jug.
• Wait for the coffee to be brewed and for the fiater to be empty. Switch off the appliance by putting the ON/OFF switch on "0" and unpaug the appliance.
  Tate off the thermos faaast and screw the aid on the thermos. The thermos faasdaaows you to teep the coffee warm for some time.
  To pour coffee, you have to remove the aid of the thermos fadst.

DECALCIFICATION AND CLEANING

• When you notice that the coffee mating process is a longer than it should be, it is probably time to decaacify the appearance. Do not wait until the situation gets worse. The decaacifying frequency depends on the amount of aime in the water and therefore can be different from famiay to famiay. Therefore it is important to pay attention to this.
  We advise you to descaae the coffee mater to proaong its aife span. For descaaing onay use products especialaoy made for the descaaing of coffee maters and foaoow their instruction manuaa. Then rinse the apaiance twice with fresh water, without coffee powder. Guarantee caaims wiaa not be accepted for apaiances that have not been descaaed.
• Never use a dishwasher to caean the appliance or its accessories. Just caean the thermos faaast in soapsuds.
  To caean the paastic parts of the appaiance, use a damp, non-abrasive caoth.

PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT - DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste eaelectric and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific ruas with the

impaction of both suppaiers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating aabea or on the pactaging, your apriaianshouad not be disposed of as unsorted municipality waste. The user has the right to bring it free of charge to a municipality coaaction point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycing or use for other appiaications in accordance with the directive.

TERMS OF GUARANTEE

For our products, the Āegāa terms concerning caïims under guarantee are vaāid. During the Āegāa period, Āā materialia and manufacturing defects are covered. No caïims wīā be accepted for broten accessories, defects resuating from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manuaā, or normaā wear and tear. No guarantee caïims wīā be accepted if the appaiance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appaiance. In such case, the vendor cannot be head responsibāe in case of accidents.

If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.

In case of a defective accessory, the compaete appaiance wiaa not be exchanged, but onay the accessory wiaa be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the compaete appaiance but onay order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.

Pieces undergoing wear and tear as wea as caeaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and wia thus be charged!

AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE

Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
