on different branch circuits.

MICROWAVE COOKING PRINCIPLES

  1. Arrange food carefully. Place thickest areas towards outside of dish.
  2. Watch cooking time. Cook for the shortest amount of time indicated and add more as needed. Food severely overcooked can smoke or ignite.
  3. Cover foods while cooking. Covers prevent spattering and help foods to cook evenly.
  4. Turn foods over once during microwaving to speed cooking of foods such as chicken and hamburgers. Large items like roasts must be turned over at least once.
  5. Rearrange foods such as meatballs halfway through cooking both from top to bottom and from the centre of the dish to the outside.

UTENSILS GUIDE

  1. We advise you to use utensils that are specially conceived for microwave cooking as they allow energy to pass through the container and heat the food.
  2. Microwaves cannot penetrate metal, so metal utensils or dishes with a metallic trim should not be used.
  3. Do not use recycled paper products when microwave cooking, as they may contain small metal fragments which may cause sparks and/or fire.
  4. Round/oval dishes rather than square/oblong ones are recommended, as food in corners tends to overcook.

The table below is a general guide to help you select the correct utensils.

In order to eliminate these manufacturing residues, we advise you to operate the oven a few times for about 30 seconds in grill mode or in the "quartz grill - convection" combination mode without food in it. Attention: Do not operate the microwave oven without food in it in microwave or combination mode.

b) Combination of quartz grill and convection (with or without preheating function)

The "quartz grill - convection" function can be used to cook the food as a traditional oven. Hot air is circulated throughout the oven cavity in order to crisp and brown foodstuffs quickly and evenly. No microwaves are used. It is recommended to preheat the oven to a certain temperature before placing the food in the oven.

To preheal the oven:

  1. Press the "Conv.Combi/Grill.Combi" key once. "C." appears on the display.
  2. Turn the rotary knob to set the temperature. You can select a temperature from 80 to 210 degrees Celsius.
  3. Press "Instant.Start" to confirm the temperature setting.
  4. Turn the rotary knob to set the preheating time. You may skip this step, in which case the default preheating time will be 15 minutes.
  5. Press "Instant.Start" to start preheating. During preheating, the temperature inside the oven cavity flashes on the display.
  6. When the oven has reached the desired temperature, it holds this temperature automatically. The integrated cooling fan will run for 30 seconds while the lamp is illuminated.

Note: the preheating temperature must be lower than the temperature that will be used for cooking. Otherwise "Err2" will appear on the display when setting the cooking temperature and you will have to reset the temperature or wait for the oven to cool down.

When you have put the food in the oven and closed the door, you can set the cooking programme:

  1. Press the "Conv.Combi/Grill.Combi" key once. "C." appears on the display.

Don't change the page numbering. Keep the language integrity.

Notes: - You may remove the turntable when preheating the oven.

  • Do not use aluminium foil in the "quartz grill - convection" combination mode as this would slow down the cooking process.
  • Round pizza pans are excellent cooking utensils for cooking with the quartz grill - convection combination.

Attention: In the quartz grill - convection combination mode, the oven, the metal rack and the receptacles may become very hot. Use potholders or oven gloves to prevent burns.

c) Combination cooking: Convection + Microwave

The combination of "quartz grill - convection" and microwave cooking produces juicy meats and tender poultry with the right degree of browning and crispness. It is advised to cook meats and poultry directly on the metal rack provided. You can place a shallow dish under the food to collect dripping gravy.

  1. Press the "Conv.Combi/Grill.Combi" key a few times until "C.1" or "C.2" appears on the display. Programme "C.2" adds more cooking time than "C.1" which makes it suitable for cooking large pieces of poultry.
  2. Turn the rotary knob to set the temperature. You can select a temperature from 80 to 180 degrees Celsius (in combination mode, the oven cannot be heated to a temperature higher than 180^ ).
  3. Press "Instant.Start" to confirm the temperature setting.
  4. Turn the rotary knob to set the cooking time.
  5. Press "Instant.Start" to start the oven.

Note: Preheating is not recommended in the combination mode.

Attention: In the combination modes, the oven, the metal rack and the receptacles may become very hot. Use potholders or oven gloves to prevent burns.

d) Grill cooking

When using the grill function, 2 high-quality quartz heaters will be energized during use. The grill cooking is particularly useful for thin slices of meat, steaks, chops, kebabs, sausages or pieces of chicken. It is also suitable for hot sandwiches and au gratin dishes.

  1. Press the "Conv.Combi/Grill.Combi" key several times until "G." appears on the display.
  2. Turn the rotary knob to set the cooking time.
  3. Press "Instant.Start" to start the oven. The countdown begins.

Attention: In the grill mode, the oven, the metal rack and the receptacles may become very hot. Use potholders or oven gloves to prevent burns.

e) Combination cooking: Grill + Microwave

If you want to cook thick pieces of food, it is advised to use a combination of grill and microwave cooking as a brown crust is obtained in this way while the microwaves penetrate the food and heat up the centre of the food as well.

  1. Press the "Conv.Combi/Grill.Combi" key several times until "G.1" or "G.2" appears on the display. Programme "G.2" adds more working time of the heating element than "G.1".
  2. Turn the rotary knob to set the cooking time.
