Frequently Asked Questions - SM 9495 SEVERIN

What types of milk can I use with the Severin SM 9495 milk frother?
You can use whole milk, semi-skimmed or skimmed. Whole milk gives a creamier foam. Plant-based milks (soy, almond) can also be used, but the foam may be less firm.
How to clean the milk frother?
Detach the whisk and carafe. Wash them by hand with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher (top rack). Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the base in water.
Can I heat milk without frothing it?
Yes, the Severin SM 9495 frother allows you to heat milk without foam. Use the corresponding program (without activating the whisk).
What is the maximum capacity of the frother?
The carafe capacity is 300 ml. Do not exceed the MAX mark to avoid overflow during frothing.
Does the frother stop automatically?
Yes, the appliance has an automatic shut-off once the heating or frothing cycle is complete. It also turns off in case of overheating.
Can I use the frother to make hot chocolate?
Yes, you can heat milk with chocolate or cocoa. Stir first to dissolve the powder, then start the heating cycle.
Is the whisk removable?
Yes, the whisk detaches easily from the carafe for cleaning. Simply pull gently.
What to do if the foam is not firm enough?
Use whole milk well chilled (refrigerated) for better foam. Make sure the whisk is correctly installed and the carafe is not too full.
Can the frother be used with plant-based milks?
Yes, plant-based milks (soy, almond, oat) can be frothed. Results vary depending on the protein content of the milk.
Where can I buy spare parts?
