Manual d'instrukciones

1.1 Connecting to the power supply. The packing machine will operate as long as your refrigerator is connected to the power supply. Follow the installation instructions in your refrigerator's instruction manual.

2

Use

FAGOR FFK6845VX - Manual d'instrukciones - 1

2.1 Vacuum packing. Open the drawer of the packing machine (2.1.1) and lift up the packing lid (2.1.2); the LED will light up to tell you that the machine is ready. If one minute passes without any operation being carried out, the LED and the packing machine will turn off; to reactivate, lift up the lid again (2.1.2). On the packing machine there is a space beneath the work tray where you can keep pre-prepared bags. Lift up the work tray to access them (2.1.3).

Fill the bag with the food to be packed (2.1.4).

Place the open part of the bag in the packing area, making sure that it does not protrude over the end piece (2.1.5).

Lower the packing lid (2.1.6), press it down gently and press AUTO (2.1.7).

The machine will vacuum pack and seal the bag. When finished, lift up the packing lid and remove the bag.

You can stop the vacuum packing and sealing cycle at any time by pressing STOP.

Warning: To prevent the machine from becoming damaged through continuous use, it is fitted with a locking system that stops it after 15 consecutive operations; it will remain locked for 10 minutes. If you turn off the refrigerator or there is an interruption in the power supply, the packing machine will remain locked for 10 minutes before operating again.

2.2 Other functions of the packing machine

Super seal. This can be used to seal thick bags or those which are diffi cult to seal. To activate/ deactivate, press AUTO for 3 seconds with the lid up.

Vacuum packing containers. It is possible to vacuum pack containers and similar recipients; to do this you must connect the container accessory to the vacuum tube (4.2) and to the container and press STOP. The vacuum process will start and will stop automatically when completed.

The sealing operation remains deactivated when containers are being vacuum packed. The

accessory for vacuum packing containers is not included with the packing machine.

Non-vacuum packing. You can pack a food product without having to vacuum pack it; to do this, follow steps (2.1.1 to 2.1.5) and press AUTO twice consecutively (2.2.4). The machine will skip the vacuum packing operation and will just seal the bag.

Replacements. The machine has been designed for the exclusive use of embossed bags of between 95 and 150 . Under no circumstances can the vacuum be achieved with bags finer than 95 .

You can obtain replacements for your packing machine at technical support service from Fagor, both individual bags and on a roll. The bags on a roll must be prepared beforehand. To do this, cut them to the desired bag size with some scissors (2.2.1) and place one of the open ends in the sealing area, making sure that the bag does not protrude over the end piece (2.2.2). Lower the packing lid (2.2.3), press it down gently and press twice consecutively AUTO (2.2.4). The bag will now be ready for use.

FAGOR FFK6845VX - Other functions of the packing machine - 2

It is very important to keep the packing area clean at all times. The machine could suck in the remnants of liquids or solids, damaging the pump and its internal components. Clean the packing area after each use (3.1).

When you have finished, clean the packing area and the work tray (3.1, 3.2).

4

Troubleshooting

The machine will not vacuum pack

  • Check that the bag has been properly inserted into the packing area and that it is not protruding over the end piece (2.1.4).
  • Change the bag; it may have a hole in it.
  • Check that the piece of foam rubber on the lower part is properly in place (4.1).
  • Check that nothing is obstructing the vacuum tube (4.2)

The machine will not seal

  • Check that the joins are properly in place on the machine (4.1).
  • Increase the sealing time. Press AUTO for 3 seconds.

Do not tamper with the packing machine to try to repair it. Call the technical support service.
