Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions
- The appliance may only be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
• Children must not be permitted to operate the appliance. The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children.
• Children must not be permitted to play with the appliance.
- Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
- Before the appliance is used, the main body and all attachments should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
- The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
- The appliance should only be placed on a level surface. Do not allow the housing or its power cord to come into contact with open flames or any hot surfaces such as hot-plates.
- Do not let the power cord hang free.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, even if you leave the room only for a short while.
• The cutting and grating attachments are
extremely sharp. To prevent the possibility of severe injury while emptying the bowl or cleaning the appliance, use extreme care when handling these attachments
- Great care is necessary when hot liquid is poured into the processing bowl, as it may give off hot vapour/steam.
- Caution: do not put hot liquid into the blender jug.
- Caution: always use the pestle to feed food into the bowl. Do not under any circumstances use your hands.
- Do not touch any moving parts during operation - this can be extremely dangerous.
- This appliance should only be used with the attachments provided by the manufacturer and in accordance with the purposes described in this manual.
- Always switch the appliance off, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill
-before assembling or disassembling the appliance.
-before opening the lid
-when adding or removing any attachments
-in case of any malfunction,
-after use,
-during cleaning.
- When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
- Caution: Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
- No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with.
- This appliance is intended for domestic or similar applications, such as
- in shops, offices and other similar working environments,
-in agricultural areas,
-by customers in hotels, motels etc. and similar establishments,
-in bed-and breakfast type environments.
- In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. The addresses can be found in the appendix to this manual.
Before fi rst use
Remove any packing materials completely and clean all accessories as described in the section General care and cleaning.
Operating switch
The operating switch allows for the following switch settings:
II The unit is switched on - high speed
I The unit is switched on - low speed
0 The unit is switched off
P With the switch held in this position: On – high speed
Wind-up power cord storage
The power cord can be wound up for storage on the underside of the unit. Unwind it completely before operation.
Operation:
General information
- First, fit the required attachment.
- Note: this kitchen appliance is equipped with two safety switches and can only be activated if the selected attachment has
been correctly fitted and safely locked.
- Turn off the appliance after use (switch position '0') and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before changing or removing any attachments.
Chopping/mincing and puréeing
- Fit the drive shaft to the drive unit.
- Attach the bowl with the handle to the right and turn it clockwise to lock until the lock symbol and triangular mark are aligned.
- Fit the drive shaft extension to the drive shaft.
- Remove the protective cover and fit the chopping/mincing blade to the drive shaft extension in such a way that the blade almost touches the bottom of the bowl.
- Caution: Hold the blade only by its plastic shaft - the blades are extremely sharp.
- Put the ingredients (max. 700 g) into the bowl.
- Put the lid on the bowl and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
- For safety reasons, use the appropriate pestle at all times when feeding the ingredients down the food chute. During operation, the pestle should remain inserted.
Operation settings
We recommend using the switch setting P. The right degree of chopping/mincing (from coarse to fi ne) for meat, onions, dried fruit, celery, fi sh etc. is normally achieved after 15-30 seconds.
Puréeing
The bowl can be filled with a maximum of 1 litre of cold liquid (e.g. soup). Ensure, however, that the temperature is not above 80 °C.
- Always start processing at speed level I; increase to level II if necessary.
Kneading
- Fit the drive shaft to the drive unit.
- Attach the bowl with the handle to the right and turn it clockwise to lock until the lock symbol and triangular mark are aligned.
- Fit the drive shaft extension to the drive shaft.
- Fit the kneading insert to the drive shaft extension so that the insert almost touches the bottom of the bowl.
- Put the lid on the bowl and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
- For safety reasons, use the appropriate pestle at all times when feeding the ingredients down the food chute. During operation, the pestle should remain inserted.
Note:
- Put the ingredients into the bowl. For 700 g of dough, about 400 g of fl our and 290 ml of water are needed.
- When making dough, the appliance should not run for more than 60 seconds at a time, after which it should be allowed to cool down for 1 minute. A maximum of 5 such cycles should not be exceeded, after which the appliance must be allowed to cool down completely.
Operation settings
- Always start processing at speed level I; increase to level II if necessary.
- The dough is ready once it has formed into a ball.
Slicing and grating
- Fit the drive shaft to the drive unit.
- Attach the bowl with the handle to the right and turn it clockwise to lock until the lock symbol and triangular mark are aligned.
- Fit the desired attachment to the insert mounting and push it down until it is heard locking into place.
- Fit the attachment mounting to the drive shaft.
- Put the lid on the bowl and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
- For safety reasons, use the appropriate pestle at all times when feeding the ingredients down the food chute. During operation, the pestle should remain inserted.
- Always switch the appliance on before feeding the ingredients down the food chute.
- Do not put in more than 1 kg of food. When processing larger quantities, the bowl must be emptied from time to time.

Blender attachment
• Fit the blender jug onto the appliance
with its handle to the right, and lock it by turning clockwise until the lock symbol is properly aligned with the arrow mark.
- Put the ingredients into the blender jug and close the lid.
• To add further ingredients during operation, the stopper in the lid can be taken out by turning it anti-clockwise. - After using the blender, switch off and remove the jug by turning it slightly anticlockwise.
- Caution: do not let the jug run empty. Do not fill it with dry items only, such as nuts, almonds etc.
• Maximum fill quantity:
• 1.5 litres of liquid, or
• 300 g of fruits or cooked vegetables
Operation settings
- For soft fruit and cooked vegetables, select speed setting I-II, or use the pulse setting (P).
- For harder types of fruit, speed level II or the pulse setting (P) should be selected.
Limit on operating time:
Use of the blender should be limited to no more than 60 seconds at a time. Switch off the appliance afterwards and allow it to cool down before resuming operation.
General care and cleaning
- Turn off the appliance after use, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.

The housing may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
-
Attachments should be thoroughly cleaned immediately after use, using hot water and a mild detergent.
- Do not put the attachments in a dish washer.
- Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
- Caution: When cleaning the chopping blade and other attachments, beware of sharp edges - these can be extremely dangerous.
• Always store the chopping/mincing blade in its protective plastic cover. - Use only a wooden or plastic spatula to remove food residue from the bowl.
Disposal

Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as they contain valuable materials
which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
This guarantee naturally does not cover
wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
