FR Mode d'emploi

Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Safety instructions

• The attachment may only be used in conjunction with the KM 3896 food processor. Therefore, the safety instructions for KM 3896 also apply.
• When the attachment is used, the mixing bowl with splash guard lid must also be attached, as the mixer also rotates.
• Clean the accessories immediately after use

with warm water with and detergent.

• For more information on cleaning, please refer to the Cleaning and Care section.
• Do not wear long necklaces, earrings, scarves, wide sleeves or long open hair when operating the appliance.
• In case of blockage, do not force the pasta dough through the opening. Under no circumstances, press with your hands. In this case, disconnect from mains power, disassemble the attachment and clean it.
  • Always use only the plunger to push in the filler neck. Never push in with your hand or other objects.
• Pasta dough that is fed through the attachment too dry or too quickly can damage the pasta

attachment and/or the mixer.

- Never let the appliance run without contents.

- Never touch moving parts of the appliance, risk of injury!

- The appliance must be switched off and mains power must be disconnected before mounting, changing, removing accessories or cleaning the appliance. Wait for the motor to come to a complete standstill after switching off.

- The appliance must only be operated with the original accessories provided with it and for the purpose described.

Before using for the first time

Clean the attachment before using it for the first time, as described in Cleaning and Care.

Short operation

This appliance is designed with a short operating time (10 mins), i.e. you can use it for a maximum of 10 minutes in one go. Then the unit needs to be switched off for 20 minutes to cool down.

Shaping discs

The shaping discs are numbered for easy identification:

Spaghetti No. 1

Bucatini No. 2

Tagliatelle No. 3

Pappardelle No. 4

Macaroni No. 5

Rigatoni No. 6

Operation

• Select the desired shaping disk and insert it into the pasta attachment. The lugs of the shaping disk must lie in the recesses on the housing.
• Hand-tighten the screw ring clockwise using the handle.
• Remove the cover on the front of the food processor. To do this, reach into the gap at the bottom of the cover.
• Place the pasta attachment on the appliance and lock it in place by turning it counter-clockwise. The filler neck must point upwards.
• Place the food tray on the filler neck.
• Place a tray under the screw ring.
• Insert the power plug into a wall socket.
• Set the control knob to the desired speed level between @ Andreas: 3 and 6.
• Only add small amounts of dough to the filler neck and carefully press down with

the plunger. Before adding more dough, wait until the worm is free.

- Use only the plunger to refill the filler neck.

After use

• After use, switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains power.
- Unlock the attachment clockwise and remove it.
- Clean the accessories immediately after use, otherwise the pasta dough will dry and be difficult to remove.
- Replace the cover in such way that the lines (- - ) are opposite each other.

Cleaning and Care

• Before cleaning, switch off the appliance, disconnect from mains power and wait for the motor to come to a complete standstill.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Clean the accessories immediately after use with warm water with and detergent. Do not clean in a dishwasher.

Tip!

The shaping discs can be stored in the plunger to save space.

Recipe for simple pasta dough

Ingredients:

300 g flour

3 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

2 - 3 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation:

• Knead dough with food processor; wrap in cling film and leave at room temperature for 30 min.
• Pasta dough is best processed fresh.

Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as they contain valuable materials which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.

This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.

This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
