USER MANUAL JC132G Joycare
This digital electric thermometer model Joycare JC-132G is suitable to take body temperature for clinical and hospital use as well as for home use, as long as medical or paramedical staff are not required to be present at all times. The device was designed for oral use strictly in compliance with the instructions specified in this manual. Any use different from the use specified will be deemed improper use.

Part 2 - Collateral Regulation: Electromagnetic Compatibility - Provisions and Tests; - UNI EN 12470-3: Clinical Thermometers - Compact Electric Thermometers Equipped with Maximum Temperature Device. The digital electric thermometer model Joycare JC-132 is a medical device belonging to Class IIa. Classification according to Clause 3.2, Section 3, Rule 10 of Directive 93/42/EEC.
WARNING
Check the bulb before use: do not use the thermometer if the rubber is torn. Do not use the product as an ordinary dummy. Do not drop the thermometer. Do not let the product come into contact with solvents. Avoid exposure to and contact with heat sources. Do not immerse the bulb in sweet substances. No not tie the thermometer to the baby's neck. Do not disassemble the product.
WHAT IS A “NORMAL” TEMPERATURE?
The generally accepted "normal" temperature for child is between 36.5 to 37.5^ / 97.7 to 99.5^
This pacifier thermometer is the most convenient equipment for you to measure your child's temperature. Never measure temperature within 30 minutes after the baby had intake hot or cold drink since it will inaccurate the measurement. Please follow the procedure list below to taking your baby temperature.Remove the protective cover; Wash the thermometer with mild soap and warm water.Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The thermometer will beep once for about 0.5 second and the display will show icon Lo. below for around 2 seconds. Place the pacifier in the baby's mouth and leave it there until the thermometer beeps continuously. Remove the pacifier from the baby's mouth. Push the on/off button to switch off the thermometer as this will help to extend the life of the thermometer. The thermometer will switch off automatically around after 8 minutes of the measurement. Read and record the temperature and time after each measuring for reference. The reading will also automatically stored in the memory; Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the thermometer. The thermometer will switch off automatically after it is idle in 8 minutes. Clean the thermometer, cover the thermometer with the protective cover provided and store it out of reach of child. Turn thermometer off and back on. While turn on the thermometer again, press and hold ON/OFF button over 2 seconds, the temperature unit ^ & ^ will changed accordingly.
Now the thermometer can be used to measure temperature in the unit that shows on the upper right hand corner of the display window. Repeat the above process to reverse the measurement unit if desired.
The last temperature is always stored in the memory automatically; The last temperature will display on the display window when you switch on the thermometer again. It will show up on the display window after you heard the beep when you switch on the thermometer
CLEANING
The thermometer is water-proof. Clean it with warm AND NOT HOT water! Sterilise the teat with alcohol and rinse with cold water. Always check the bulb before use: do not use the thermometer if the rubber is torn.
INFORMATION ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
This medical device needs special care as far as electromagnetic compatibility is concerned. It must be installed and used in compliance with the information given in the accompanying documents. Portable and mobile radiocommunication appliances may affect the operation of the thermometer.

DISPOSAL
The device (including its removable parts and accessories) must not be disposed of together with municipal waste at the end of its life, but in compliance with European Directive 2002/96/EC. Since
it must be handled separately from household waste, either carry it to a separatelycollected waste disposal centre for electrical and electronic appliances or give it back to the retailer on purchasing a new device with the same purpose. Any infringement will be severely prosecuted. The batteries used in this device must be disposed of in the special bins at the end of their life.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidental breakage, transportation, incorrect maintenance or cleaning, misuse, tampering or repairs carried out by non authorised third parties. The following is also excluded: damage caused by incorrect product installation, and damage caused by wear and tear, obviously including parts subject to wear and tear. In order to obtain the replacement/repair of products under warranty in cases other
than those mentioned above, but which are instead caused by manufacturing defects, please contact your local importer/distributor. Goods that are not held to be in good condition because of the aforesaid causes must be accompanied by this certificate, duly filled-in, as well as a receipt for the goods (invoices and transport documents) and purchasing documentation.
