Thank you for purchasing a Joycare Shiatsu massager seat. You can now enjoy a real Shiatsu massage in comfort at home, at the office or in your car.
IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES AND WARNINGS
To ensure correct use of the product, you are advised to read the following instructions and to keep this manual for future reference. Do not put the product to any use other than the ones specified in this instruction manual and do not use accessories other than those clearly stated in this manual. This product is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial use and/or use in the medical field. Before use, make sure the appliance and accessories are complete and without visible signs of damage. Always check the condition of the product and its accessories and if you notice any operating defects or damage to the accessories, suspend use immediately and contact an authorized assistance centre. Use the appliance only with the power supply provided and at the rated voltage specified on the power supply, and never when the appliance or accessories are visibly damaged, or during a thunderstorm. Do not pull the cord or appliance to disconnect the plug from the socket. Do not hold or carry the appliance by its power cord. The cord must be kept at a suitable distance from hot surfaces. Do not force, fold or twist the cord. Do not insert needles or sharp objects. Make sure the massaging appliance, switch, power supply and cord to do not come in contact with water, steam or other liquids. Use the appliance only in closed, dry environments. Do not attempt to hold the appliance if it falls in water. Remove the plug from the socket immediately. Do not use the appliance if the appliance or its accessories show signs of damage. Avoid knocking the appliance and do not let it fall down. Repairs to electrical appliances must be carried out only by qualified technicians. Incorrect or inadequate repairs can put the user in serious danger. Please contact the authorized Assistance Service for all repairs. It is not permitted to open the closure on the shiatsu massaging device. It is intended only for technical use. Always remove the plug from the socket when the product is not in use and before cleaning it, and before replacing the accessories and whenever operation appears defective. Always turn off the switch before removing the plug from the socket. Always pull the plug and not the power cord. Never use the product when sleeping or when feeling drowsy. Never use or place the product under covers or cushions as it can overheat and cause fire and/electrical shocks, and never use it near fuel or other products that are easily inflammable. The product must never be used by children. Do not insert any objects in the openings of the appliance or in the rotating parts. Make sure the moving components can always turn freely. Use the appliance only in its upright position, never put it flat on the floor. Do not sit, lie or stand, applying the full weight of your body, on the moving parts of the appliance. Always keep the product away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity, sharp objects and similar.
To avoid accidents and injury to children, never leave the appliance unsupervised in their presence. For this reason it is advisable to keep the product in a place out of the reach of children.
SPECIFIC RULES ON USE OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is intended solely for massaging the human back. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the massaging appliance in the cases listed below. Do not use the massaging appliance in the presence of pathological conditions or injuries in the part of the body to be massaged (for example, a slipped disc or open wounds); on children; during pregnancy; when sleeping; in a vehicle when driving; on animals; during activities when an unexpected reaction could be dangerous; under the influence of drugs, medication such as
sedative pharmaceuticals or alcohol. If you are not sure the massaging appliance is suitable for your personal use, always consult your doctor. The use of the product should have a pleasing and relaxing effect; if it causes pain or irritation, stop using the product immediately and consult your doctor. This appliance is not suitable for use by people (and children) of reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacity or who do not have the necessary experience or knowledge, unless supervised or assisted in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the technical assistance service, or by a person who is similarly qualified to prevent all risk. The appliance has a function for heating the massaging heads. People not sensitive to heat must take all due care when using this function. Consult your doctor before using the massaging appliance: in the event of serious illness or after having an operation on the upper body; if you have a pacemaker, implants or other auxiliary devices; thrombosis; diabetes; in the event of pains of an unknown nature. The appliance is intended only for the purpose described in these operating instructions. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for harm or damage caused by inappropriate or non-conformant use. The use of the product should have a pleasing and relaxing effect; if it causes pain or irritation, stop using the product immediately and consult your doctor. Do not use the product for more than 15 minutes at a time (risk of overheating) and let it cool down for at least 15 minutes before using it again. Never use the product before going to sleep: the stimulating effect of the massage may cause a temporary state of insomnia.
Packaging materials (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) must never be left within reach of children, since they are potentially dangerous and must be disposed of in accordance with current directives and legislation.

HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT
Put the massager seat on a chair, armchair or similar and fasten it on with the elastic strap. Insert the connector in the mains adaptor and insert the plug in a mains socket. You can also use the product in a car with the car adaptor provided. Press the start button and program the required settings by pressing the buttons on the remote control.
Vibrating massage: press the VIBRATE button to activate the massage.
Three different massage intensities may be selected (high -medium - low).
Press the button again to change the intensity or disable the function.
Warning: For safety reasons, the product automatically turns off after it has been used for 15 minutes. This procedure does not replace the product's manual switch off procedure. Always turn the product off when it is not being used and remove the plug from the socket.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Always detach the power cord before proceeding with cleaning the unit. Do not use any type of solvent to clean the appliance. Clean with a soft, slightly dampened cloth, and never use detergents. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never use chemical detergents. Always store the unit in a dry, well ventilated location, away from heat sources, direct sunlight, or sharp objects. Never coil the power cord around the appliance, and do not use the power cord to hang up the unit.

DISPOSAL
At the end of its life cycle, the device (including its removable parts and accessories) must not be disposed of together with household waste, but in compliance with European Directive 2002/96/EC. Since it must be handled separately from household waste, either bring it to a recycling and waste disposal centre for electrical and electronic appliances or give it back to the retailer on purchasing a new equivalent unit. Any infringement will be severely prosecuted.

Joycare S.p.A., a company with a sole shareholder, offers a period of 3 year warranty after the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidental breakage, transportation, incorrect maintenance or cleaning, misuse, tampering or repairs carried out by non authorised third parties. The following is also excluded: damage caused by incorrect product installation, and damage caused by wear and tear, obviously including parts subject to wear and tear. In order to obtain the replacement/repair of products under warranty in cases other
than those mentioned above, but which are instead caused by manufacturing defects, please contact your local importer/distributor. Goods that are not held to be in good condition because of the aforesaid causes must be accompanied by this certificate, duly filled-in, as well as a receipt for the goods (invoices and transport documents) and purchasing documentation.
