WARNING

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injuries:

1 Do not use outdoors.
2 Do not leave the steam cleaner unattended when it is plugged into the mains. Unplug the power cord when it is not being used and before performing maintenance.
3 Do not allow it to be used as a toy. Pay particular attention when it is used near children, pets and plants.
4 Use only as described in this manual. Use only the attachments recommended by the manufacturer.
5 Do not use it with a damaged cord or plug. If the steam cleaner does not work properly, if it has been dropped to the ground, if it has been damaged, left outside or has fallen into water, return to a service centre before use.
6 Do not pull or carry by the power cord. Do not use the power cord as a handle or pull on the cord, making it rub against corners or sharp edges. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
7 Do not use extension cables or sockets with the wrong current rating.
8 Do not pick it up using the power cord. To unplug, pull on the plug, not the cord.
9 Do not hold the plug or the steam cleaner with wet hands or operate with bare feet.
10 Do not place any object in the openings. Do not use with any opening obstructed.
11 Store your steam cleaner in a clean, dry place indoors.
12 Keep your working area well lit.
13 Never place the device upside down or on its side when using steam. Never aim the steam at people, animals, plants or devices with electric components, such as the interior of ovens.
14 Do not immerse the steam cleaner in water or other fluids. Always unplug the power cord from the socket before filling the steam cleaner.
15 Never place detergents, alcohol-containing products, aromatic products or descaling products in the steam cleaner, as this may damage it or make it unsafe for use.
16 Do not operate it without the safety cover installed.
17 Before filling, if the cleaner has run completely out of water, see paragraph 8 of the information.
18 Metal tips or injectors will heat during use. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Allow the attachments to cool before changing them during use of the device.
19 This device is for domestic use only.
20 Any repair, including changing the power cord, must be carried out by a qualified technician. Call your nearest service centre.
21 If the power cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, your aftersale service or similar qualified personnel in order to prevent hazards.

KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE STARTING

Check the voltage rating.

First of all, check the voltage rating on the nameplate to make sure that the cleaner has the right voltage for your mains supply. If it does not, do not use the cleaner and consult your distributor.

WARNING: If the power cord should become damaged during cleaning, you should do the following:

  • Remove the plug from the socket.
  • Examine the damage to the power cord (only after removing the plug from the socket).
  • NEVER use the machine with a damaged power cord or power supply.

Thermal cutout

This steam cleaner has a special thermostat that protects it against overheating. If the cleaner suddenly cuts out, press the injector button once and unplug the cleaner. Check the cleaner for the cause of the overheating, such as no water in the water container. If you find the cause, solve it and wait at least 30 minutes before trying to use the cleaner. After the 30 minutes have elapsed, replug the cleaner and turn on the power switch. If the cleaner does not heat, contact your nearest authorised service centre.

INFORMATION ABOUT STEAM:

The steam cleaner is designed as an innovation with respect to the traditional cleaning methods. This product is designed as a multiuse, multipurpose cleaner.

ATTACHMENTS

Main features of your portable steam cleaner.

The Steam Gun achieves a high cleaning and degreasing power on many surfaces, eliminating all dirt.

The Steam Gun helps preserve the environment as it uses the active power of steam, without using detergents or soap.

Some of the surfaces that can be cleaned with the Gun are the following: upholstery, bathroom and kitchen tiles, stove tops, ventilator filters taken from stove tops, windows and mirrors. The fabric attachment can be used to eliminate creases from clothes, curtains, etc., using steam. CAUTION: Do not aim the steam at people. It may cause scalds!

Other advantages of your portable steam cleaner

The Steam Gun can kill dust mites and some types of bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli, when it is used correctly. To disinfect a particular area, place the steam cleaner over the area, no more than one centimetre away, and move it slowly above the surface. Use this procedure to disinfect surfaces in: toilets and bathrooms, areas where food is prepared, cushions, bed linen, rooms where pets sleep, etc...

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The Steam Gun has been designed primarily to clean hard surfaces and upholsterystries that withstand high temperatures. It must not be used on soft plastics, wood without an insulating layer or cold glass.

WARNING: On surfaces that have been treated with wax or certain unwaxed floors, the steam may dull the gloss. Do not use on wood surfaces without an insulating layer as this may cause the wood to granulate. We recommend performing a trial cleaning on an isolated part of the surface to be cleaned. Also check the manufacturer's instructions for the care and use of the object to be cleaned.

ASSEMBLY AND USE

Do not plug the unit into a mains socket until Step 7.

WARNING: After each use, press the steam production button until all the pressure has been released before removing the safety cap.

  1. Unscrew the top safety cap. (After using for the first time, place the device upside down to fully empty the heater).
  2. Fill the water container, included with the attachments, with water to the marked line, in one go. Use the funnel to pour the water into the heater. The heater only takes one measure at a time of the container (350 cc max.). Do not overfill.

NOTE: Never place detergents, alcohol-containing products, aromatic products or descaling products in the product as this may damage it or make it unsafe for use.

  1. Screw tightly the top cap on the product.

Attachments

  1. Use the following guidelines to couple the straight injector, the hose and the fabric attachment: Align the single mark on the attachment with the single mark on the cleaner. Press the attachment into the jointed injector until it connects with the cleaner's structure. Turn it clockwise until the single mark on the attachment is aligned with the double mark on the cleaner. The attachment is now locked in position. The Steam Gun's jointed injector allows the steam to be aimed as wished. To use the jointed injector, align the single marks on the attachment and the cleaner, press the attachment into the jointed injector until it covers the circular seal (See page 6). Now turn it clockwise until the single mark on the attachment is aligned with the double mark on the cleaner. You can now aim the steam as you wish.

GB

  1. Connecting the brush and the angled injector.

These two attachments can be applied to the (cleaner's) jointed injector, the straight injector and the extension hose. Chose the desired angle and then press the attachment into the hexagon-shaped end of the injector.

  1. Connecting the glass-cleaning attachment.

CAUTION: Do not use the glass-cleaning attachment on cold glass, as this can break the glass.

First connect the fabric attachment to the cleaner or the extension hose. Remove the cloth from the fabric attachment. There are two open clips on the rear edge of the fabric attachment and two hinges on the rear edge of the glass-cleaning attachment. Place the hinges on the open clips and then swing the glass-cleaning attachment upwards towards the bottom of the fabric attachment until the two parts connect. To remove the attachment, press your thumb against the glass-cleaning attachment's grip. The two parts will separate.

Turning on your Gun

  1. Plug the product into a mains socket.

The operating indicator lamp will light. The steam will be ready after approximately 3 or 4 minutes. Watch the cleaner continuously while you wait. Press the steam production button to release steam. As soon as the Steam Gun produces steam, start to use it, passing it smoothly over the surfaces to be cleaned. This is the best method for thoroughly cleaning the surfaces. To disinfect specific areas, hold the Steam Gun over the point, no more than 2 centimetres from the surface, and move slowly over the surface.

WARNING: Never place the portable steam cleaner upside down when it is being used nor aim it at people, animals or plants. Pressurised tank: Do not open the filling cap during use.

  1. Filling the Steam Gun when it has run out of steam.

Unplug the cleaner. Press the steam production button until all the pressure has been released. Wait approximately 5 minutes before carefully unscrewing the safety cap. Slowly turn half a turn and wait until the whistle of the remaining steam leaving has stopped. Fully unscrew the cap and leave to cool. Slow pour one measure of the measuring container (included) in the container using the funnel (included) (350 cc). Do not overfull. Rescrew the safety cap onto the cleaner. Plug the cleaner into the mains socket and it will start to produce steam again.

WARNING: This unit operates under pressure. After each use, press the steam production button until all the pressure has been released before removing the safety cap.

Cleaning and Maintenance

NOTE: You must unplug the product from the mains and leave to cool before performing any cleaning and maintenance task.

  • Allow the product to fully cool before cleaning or putting it away.
  • Empty any water remaining in the heater after each use.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.

To guarantee a long, trouble-free service life, rinse the heater with water once a month to remove any scale. Do not use vinegar or any other descending substance. With the gun unplugged and cold, pour in one measure of water, replace the safety cap and shake to remove any scale. Remove the safety cap and pour out the water immediately into a sink. CAUTION: Do not immerse the product in water.
