Frequently Asked Questions - CL-IK123S COSYLIFE

How to start ice production?
Open the lid, remove the basket, fill the water tank to the MAX line, replace the basket, close the lid. Plug in the appliance and press the On/Off button (symbol ①). The operation indicator lights up.
How to choose the ice cube size?
On the control panel, press the Size Selection button. The corresponding indicator lights up: for small cubes, for large cubes.
What to do if the 'basket full' indicator ( ) lights up?
The ice basket is full. Open the lid, remove the basket, empty the ice cubes (use the scoop provided), then replace the basket. Production automatically resumes after about 5 seconds.
What to do if the 'low water' indicator ( ) lights up?
The water level is low. Press On/Off to stop production. Open the lid, remove the basket, add drinking water to the MAX line (do not exceed). Close and press On/Off again to restart.
How to clean the ice maker?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water. For the tank, use a mixture of warm water and white vinegar, rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive products or solvents.
Why are the ice cubes stuck together?
This can happen if the manufacturing cycle is too long or if the water is too cold. Stop production and let the ice melt. Restart with fresh water between 8 and 25 °C.
What to do if the appliance does not produce ice but the fan is running?
Check that the ambient temperature is below 32 °C and that the water is not too hot. If the problem persists, the refrigerant may be insufficient; contact customer service.
Can I use hot water?
No, only use cold or room temperature water. Hot water could damage the appliance.
How to drain residual water?
Unplug the appliance and move it near a sink. Unscrew the drain plug located at the bottom (turn counterclockwise). The water will drain. Screw the plug back on after draining.
The appliance makes an abnormal noise, is this normal?
A noise from the compressor and refrigerant circulation is normal. If the noise is excessive, check that the appliance is level and that there is at least 20 cm of free space all around. If the noise persists, contact customer service.

détecteur infra rouge bac plein résolu

le détecteur du bac à glaçons s'allume alors que le bac est vide, l'appareil se met en sécurité et ne produit pas de glaçon

Report this question
N Notice-Facile - 15 j

How do I set the COSYLIFE CL-IK123S ice maker to produce large ice cubes instead of small ones?
Frequently Asked Questions - 19 j
Response Notice-Facile

Your COSYLIFE CL-IK123S ice maker has a very simple selection system to choose the size of the ice cubes. By default, the device produces large ice cubes, but you can easily switch to small ones and vice versa.

How to switch to large ice cubes:

  • Locate the size selection button on the control panel located at the front of the machine
  • Press this button to toggle between the two available modes
  • A light indicator will turn on to confirm your selection
  • Wait a few seconds for the setting to take effect

The two available sizes and their indicators:

  • Large ice cubes: corresponds to the default setting on first use. A specific light will illuminate to confirm this selection
  • Small ice cubes: accessible by pressing the button once. Another light will then turn on

Useful information: Once your selection is made, the machine automatically starts producing ice cubes of the chosen size. After each use, you just need to press the button to return to large ice cubes, as the device remembers your preferences during operation. The produced ice cubes can remain solid for up to 18 hours inside the device depending on the ambient temperature, and a light will automatically turn on to indicate when the basket is full.

Why does my COSYLIFE CL-IK123S ice maker display a 'full bin' error when the bin is empty?
Frequently Asked Questions - 24/05/2026
Response Notice-Facile

This issue arises from a malfunction of the infrared bin detection system. The COSYLIFE CL-IK123S uses infrared light (an emitter diode and a receiver diode) to detect if the ice basket is full. If an obstacle blocks this light, the device displays the 'full bin' error even if the bin is empty.

Solutions to try in this order:

  • Remove the bin and inspect it: open the lid and take out the ice basket. Check that no residual ice is stuck inside or on the walls of the bin. Even a few ice remnants can block the infrared light. Completely empty the bin and let it dry.
  • Clean the infrared diodes: be sure to unplug the device before any intervention. Locate the two sensors (diodes) near the bin location - one emits light, the other receives it. Gently clean them with a dry, soft cloth. Use a cotton swab to remove dust, limescale, or any residue that could obstruct the sensors. Never pour water directly on them.
  • Reinsert the bin correctly: ensure that the basket fits perfectly into the device, without any play. Incorrect positioning can also block the infrared beam. Close the lid.
  • Reset the device: plug the machine back in, press the power button. If the indicator remains on, unplug it again, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.

If the error persists after these steps, the infrared emitter or receiver diode is defective and needs to be replaced. Contact customer service: your device is guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defects.

Why is my COSYLIFE CL-IK123S ice maker no longer producing ice?
Frequently Asked Questions - 22/11/2025
Response Notice-Facile

If your COSYLIFE CL-IK123S ice maker is no longer producing ice, several causes may be responsible. Here are the main checks and solutions to apply:

1. Check the power supply

  • Make sure the machine is properly plugged into a working outlet.
  • Check that the fuse or circuit breaker in your electrical installation has not tripped.

2. Check the water reservoir

  • Ensure that the reservoir is sufficiently filled with clean water, as a low level prevents ice production.
  • Use potable water without impurities to avoid blockages.

3. Operating mode and settings

  • Make sure the machine is in ice production mode and that no pause or stop function is activated.

4. Cleaning the machine

  • A buildup of limescale or other residues can block production. Regularly clean the reservoir and pipes according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

5. Ambient temperature

  • The machine should be placed in an environment with an appropriate temperature (generally between 10°C and 32°C). A temperature that is too high can prevent ice formation.

6. Restarting the device

  • Turn off the machine, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on to reset its operation.

If after all these checks the machine still does not produce ice, it is recommended to contact COSYLIFE customer service for technical assistance or possible repair.
