Before first use
- Before using the appliance for the first time, we recommend you heat the appliance at a high temperature for 10 minutes without any food. This will eliminate any protective substance that may have been used in production. It is normal that a small amount of smoke and odour may be present. Make sure the area is well-ventilated.
- Let the Grill Plate and the Raclette Pans cool down and then clean them (see chapter "Cleaning and maintenance").
Operation
- Place the appliance on a stable, level, dry and heat resistant surface. Use a non-slip heat-resistant mat under the appliance to protect the tabletop from heat.
- Make sure the Temperature Control Knob is turned anti-clockwise to the "MIN" (Off) position before use.
- Plug the power cable to an earthed mains socket and ensure a firm connection.
- Turn the Temperature Control Knob clockwise to set the desired temperature. "MAX" indicates the highest temperature setting. Allow the appliance to preheat for 5 minutes before putting the food on the Grill Plate.

CAUTION: Beware of hot surfaces. Do not touch the Grill Plate or the Raclette Pans when operating.

NOTE:
The red Heating Indicator Light will illuminate when heating up. The light will turn off when the desired temperature is reached and is ready for cooking.
- If the temperature is too high, turn the Temperature Control Knob anticlockwise to set to a lower temperature.
- The red Heating Indicator Light will cycle on and off during cooking to indicate that the appliance is maintaining the desired temperature.
- To start cooking, grease the Grill Plate and Raclette Pans slightly with butter.
- Place the food on the Grill Plate to cook. If you also need to use the Raclette Pans, place the food on the pans and put the pans under the Grill Plate (lower grill slots).

CAUTION:
It is dangerous to cut the food on the Grill Plate as the plate may tip over.
- Do not rest utensils on the Grill Plate as the surface will be extremely hot.
B Product usage

NOTE:
Use the Wooden Spatulas provided or nylon utensils on the Grill Plate to protect the non-stick surface from scratches. Do not use metal or sharp utensils.
- Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the food. We recommend you turn the food occasionally and check while cooking.
- When finish cooking, turn the Temperature Control Knob anti-clockwise to the "MIN" (Off) position and unplug the power cable from the mains socket. Wait until the appliance is completely cool before moving or cleaning it.
Cooking tips:
Cut the meat into little pieces in order to reduce the cooking time.
- Place a slice of cheese in a Raclette Pan, and then place the pan under the Grill Plate (lower grill slots) and the cheese will melt. The melted cheese is traditionally eaten together with jacket potatoes. The combination of melted cheese with shallots, gherkin, ham, pepperoni, a French stick and white wine is also very tasty.
If cheese is frozen, the heating time will be much longer than that under room temperature.
- Clean the appliance after each use to prevent any food residue from accumulating (See chapter "Cleaning and maintenance").
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning the appliance, always make sure that the power plug has been removed from the mains socket. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
- The Grill Plate and the Raclette Pans can be washed in hot soapy water. Never use hard or sharp objects to clean them as the non-stick coating can be easily damaged or scratched.
- You can clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners as they can cause damage to the material.
- Allow the appliance to dry thoroughly before storing it away.
Storage
- Always unplug the unit before storing it.
- Store the unit in a fresh, dry and dust-free place, out of the reach of children and pets.
- Please retain the packaging and use it to store your unit when it is not in use for an extended period of time.
