Product usage Before first use

1. Before using the appliance for the first time, we recommend you heat the appliance at

a high temperature for 10 minutes without any food. This will eliminate any protective substance that may have been used in production. It is normal that a small amount of smoke and odour may be present. Make sure the area is well-ventilated.

2. Letthe Grill Plate, the Stone Plate and the Raclette Pans cool down and then clean them

{see chapter “Cleaning and maintenance"). Operation

1. Place the appliance on a stable, level, dry and heat resistant surface. Use a non-slip heat-

resistant mat under the appliance to protect the tabletop from heat.

2. Make sure the Temperature Control Knob is turned anti-clockwise to the “MIN” (Off)

position before use. Plug the power cable to an earthed mains socket and ensure a firm connection.

4. Turn the Temperature Control Knob clockwise to “MAX” position. Allow the appliance

to preheat before putting the food on the Grill Plate. The Grill Plate will reach the ideal grilling temperature after about 10 minutes.

CAUTION: Beware of hot surfaces. Do not touch the Grill Plate, Stone Plate or the Raclette Pans when operating. NOTE: + The red Heating Indicator Light will illuminate when heating up. The light will turn off when the set temperature is reached. If the temperature is too high, turn the Temperature Control Knob anti- clockwise to set to a lower temperature The red Heating Indicator Light will cycle on and off during cooking to indicate that the appliance is maintaining the desired temperature. If you set the temperature to the highest (MAX), the Heating Indicator Light will always turn on.

5. To start cooking, grease the Grill Plate or Stone Plate slightly with oil or butter.

6. Place the food on the Grill Plate or Stone Plate to cook. Depending on its thickness, grill

it for around 2 to 4 minutes on each side, then season to taste. |f you also need to use the Raclette Pans, place the food on the pans and put the pans under the Grill Plate (lower grill slots).

Product usage CAUTION: + tis dangerous to cut the food on the Grill Plate as the plate may tip over. + Do not rest utensils on the Grill Plate as the surface will be extremely hot. NOTE: Use the Wooden Spatulas provided or nylon utensils on the Grill Plate to protect the non-stick surface from scratches. Do not use metal or sharp utensils: 7... When finish cooking, turn the Temperature Control Knob anti-clockwise to the “MIN” (Off) position and unplug the power cable from the mains socket. Wait until the appliance is completely cool before moving or cleaning it. Cooking tips + Sausages can be barbecued in whole, but we do recommend you cut thick sausages into approximately 2 cm thick slices before cooking. + Tomatoes, fruit and vegetables can be cooking away at the same time in the Raclette Pans under the Grill Plate. + If you use the Raclette Pans to heat or warm cheese. Cut the cheese into approximately 5 mm thick slices, and you can season it to your liking with paprika and pepper. + lfcheeseis frozen, the heating time will be much longer than that under room temperature. + Clean the appliance after each use to prevent any food residue from accumulating (See chapter “Cleaning and maintenance‘).

Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners as they can cause damage to the material. ° To avoid the risk of fire or burning during operation, always keep the unit clean and free of grease or built-up of food residues. + Allow the appliance to dry thoroughly before storing it away. Storage + Always unplug the unit before storing it. e Store the unit in a fresh, dry and dust-free place, out of the reach of children and pets. + Please retain the packaging and use it to store your unit when itis not in use for an extended period of time.
