By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for the damage. Do not use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or when the appliance has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid a hazard make sure that a damaged cord or plug will be replaced by an Competent qualified repair service(*). Do not repair this appliance yourself. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled. The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface. The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply. This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for. To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the appliance unattended. Therefore you have to select a storage place for the appliance where children are not able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a downward position. To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use. NOTE: The chopping blades are very sharp, avoid physical contact during emptying and cleaning the device, you can seriously injure. Always disconnect the device from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning. Do not allow children to use the device without supervision.

Before the first use

Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.

Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products. Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50Hz). Both attachements (chopping blade and slicing and chopping disc) could be used by all three speed settings.

Note: make sure you'll never exceed the maximum filling mark. The blades of the slicing and chopping disc and the blade chopping are very sharp, avoid physical contact, you can seriously injure.

• This food processor is equipped with 2 safety switches, make sure you have completed the following steps for a correct installation. • Fit the detachable shaft onto the base. • Screw the bowl over the detachable shaft on the device. • NOTE: the bowl has to unlock the first safety switch. Keep the handle pointed to the front and turn the bowl anticlockwise until you hear a click and the handle is pointed to the right. • Place the choppingblade in the bowl over the shaft. • Put your ingredients into the bowl. • Place the lid on the bowl. • NOTE: the lid has to unlock the second safety switch. Make sure the extended lip on the lid turns into the handle of the bowl until you hear a click, the lid has to be turned anticlockwise. Slicing and Shredding Function • Place the detachable shaft on the base, then place the bowl over the shaft. Keep the handle pointed to the front and turn the bowl anticlockwise until you hear a click and the handle is pointed to the right. • Fix the slicing/shredding knife to the detacheble shaft: - knife upwards: slicing cut function - knife downwards: shredding function • Put the cover on the bowl. Make sure the extended lip on the lid turns into the handle of the bowl until you hear a click, the lid has to be turned anticlockwise. Then put the plug to the electric socket, turn the switch to the desired level. Put in the food through the refill opening of the cover, and push the food down slowly by using the food pusher. Don't push the food with you fingers!

• Fit the sealing ring into the blade unit ensuring the seal is located correctly. Leaking will occur if the sealing ring is damaged or not fitted correctly. • Screw the blender onto the blade unit. • Put your ingredients into the blender and put the lid on the blender jug. • Place the blender onto the device and turn it clockwise to lock. Please note that you will follow the marks on the jug and the base. • NOTE: do never use the jug for hot (over 60 °C) or dry ingredients. • To unlock, just follow all the steps in the opposite direction.

Cleaning and maintenance

Always remove the plug from the socket when the device will be cleaned.

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device. Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof. CAUTION: The components are not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher. If exposed to heat or caustic cleaners they might become misshapen or discolored. Components that have come into contact with food can be cleaned in soapy water. Allow the parts to dry thoroughly before reassembling the device.
