How long can I use the blender continuously?

Do not exceed 1 minute of continuous use. Let the appliance rest for at least 1 minute before using again.

How to clean the blender?

Unplug the appliance. Clean the glass bowl and lid with soapy water or in the dishwasher (except blades). For quick cleaning, fill the bowl with water and soap, press the Pulse button several times, then rinse. Never immerse the base.

What if the blades are difficult to remove?

Turn the blade assembly counterclockwise from the bottom. If too tight, use pliers. Caution, the blades are very sharp.

Can I blend hot ingredients?

No, the glass bowl can withstand heat, but the manual does not mention blending hot liquids. Avoid to prevent damage to the seal or motor.

Does the blender work without the lid?

No, the lid must be in place during use to avoid splashes. The measuring cup on the lid allows adding ingredients while operating.

What is the difference between speeds 1, 2 and Pulse?

Speed 1 is slow, speed 2 is fast. The Pulse (P) function is for intermittent operation: hold the control for short bursts, ideal for chopping or crushing.

What if the blender does not start?

Check that the bowl is properly locked onto the base and the speed selector is in a position other than 0. Make sure the outlet works and the cord is not damaged.

Can I use non-TriStar spare parts?

Is the glass bowl shock-resistant?

Glass is sturdy but may break if dropped or subjected to thermal shock. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

SAFETY

• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
- Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.

- Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)

- Caution! Run the blender no longer than 1 minute continuous, after that always cool the blender for 1 minute.

- Caution! Do not attempt to process very thick recipes

USE

• Place the base on a flat stable surface, not near a sink filled with water or a similar setting. Make sure the appliance is not connected to the main supply and the speed selector is in the 'off' position.
• Select '1' for the slow modus, select '2' for a faster mode, select 0 to turn off the appliance. For a short and fast operation, select the Pulse mode, you need to hold down the switch in this position, not longer than 1 minute, due to possible overheating of the engine. Allow the unit to cool down before further use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always remove the plug from the socket when the device will be cleaned.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
• Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance and blades are not dishwasher proof.
• Components that have come into contact with food can be cleaned in soapy water.
  • To clean the appliance it is advised to fill the glass jar with some water and soap. Place the lid on the jar and turn the speed selector on P (pulse) for several times. Remove the jug from the base, empty the water and soap into the sink and rinse with water. Leave the jar open to dry. For intense cleaning, the lid and glass jar can be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher. To

remove the blades from the glass jar, the knife block can be turned anti-clockwise from below. Note that this can be firmly secured and pliers can provide assistance.
