Switch settings
The following settings can be selected:
P The appliance remains switched on as long as the rotary switch is held in this position
0 The appliance is switched off
1 Low power
2 Maximum power
Safety switch
There is a safety switch in the motor housing. The appliance can only be switched on when the containers are correctly fitted.
Always ensure the control knob is in position 0 when removing the containers.
The same precaution applies when placing the containers onto the motor housing, as the motor may start immediately if the knob is not in the "0" position.
Multi-mixer operation
- Screw blade unit A onto the mixing jug.
- Place the mixing jug on the drive unit with the handle facing to the right and lock it into position (→).
- Add the ingredients to the mixing jug. The jug has a maximum capacity of approximately 1500 ml. For liquids that tend to foam, such as milk, fill no more than 1250 ml to prevent overflow.
- Replace the lid so that the spout is completely covered.
- To add ingredients during operation, the stopper in the centre of the lid can be removed.
- Never insert your hands or any objects into the mixing jug while the blender is
operating!
- Insert the plug into the wall outlet and use the rotary control to select the required power setting.
- After blending, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains. Once the motor has come to a complete stop, remove the mixing jug from the drive unit.
Using the multi-mixer to crush ice
Ice-cubes can be easily crushed in the blender jug:
Fill the jug a quarter full with ice cubes, and then fit it to the motor housing, as described in the section Multi-mixer operation. Put on the lid with the stopper in place, and use the pulse function (P) to operate the appliance for about 2 seconds. Wait until the ice cubes have collected in the bottom of the jug again and then repeat the process, until the cubes have been reduced to the required size.
Smoothie-maker operation
- Cut the ingredients into approximately 15 mm cubes and place them in the smoothie container.
- For best results, the following sequence should be observed:
- liquids
- fresh ingredients
- frozen ingredients
- yoghurt/ice-cream
- The container has a maximum capacity of 600 ml.
- Securely attach blade unit B to the smoothie container.
- Turn the container upside down, place
it on the drive unit, and rotate clockwise until it locks with an audible click.
- Insert the plug into a suitable outlet and use the rotary control to select the desired speed setting or the pulse function (P).
- If any ingredients stick to the container walls during blending, remove the smoothie container, give it a gentle shake, and briefly operate the blender again in pulse mode.
- After blending, unplug the appliance from the mains. Once the motor has come to a complete stop, remove the smoothie container and unscrew the blade unit.
- Close the smoothie container with its sealing lid.
Using the universal chopper
- The universal chopper container is designed for chopping spices, herbs, and for preparing pesto, dips, and purées.
- Cut the ingredients into small pieces and place them in the container.
- Do not exceed the MAX marking.
- Securely attach blade unit C to the universal chopper container and rotate clockwise until it locks in place.
- Turn the container upside down, place it on the drive unit, and rotate clockwise until it locks with an audible click.
- Plug in the appliance and select the desired speed using the control knob.
- After blending, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains. Once the motor has come to a complete stop, remove the blade unit attachment.
