Intended Use The appliance is intended for checking the charge of a 12 volt battery. In addition, the charging function of a generator can also be tested. The appliance is not meant for commercial use. Avoid danger to life and limbs caused by improper usel + Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cable +__ The measurement cable must be placed so that they cannot be caught by rotating parts within the engine compartment. À CAUTIONI Damaged measurement cables create a lifethreatening risk of electric shock. + Dispose ofthe device when the measurement cables have become damaged. The measurement cables are not intended to be repaired À Danger of explosion and firel Make certain that explosive or combustible substances, such as petrol or solvent, cannot be ignited during use of the appli- ancel Ignition sources (e.g. open light, burning cigars, cigarettes or electric sparks] must be kept away from the starter batteries. À Danger of chemical burns! Protect your eyes and skin against chemical burns caused by acid (sulphu- ric acid) upon contact with the battery! Connect the positive pole terminal clamp only to the positive pole of the batte- ry. Connect the negative pole terminal clamp only to the negative pole of the battery. + Connect the terminal clamps {"-" and "+") only to the insulated areal À Attention! Avoid damage caused by improper usel + Only use the appliance with the included original parts! + Protect the contact surfaces ofthe battery Connection + First connect the red quick-connect terminal clamp to the positive pole (+) of the battery. +__ Then connect the black quick-connect terminal clamp to the negative pole [-] ofthe battery. @ The appliance can be fastened to the vehicle chassis during the measurement using the magnetic strip on the back of the appliance. Testing a battery and generator Battery test / start capacity + Ifonlythe 11.5 volt LED lights up, the charge ofthe battery is weak. The battery must be recharged. + Ifthe 12 volt LED also lights up, the battery is half charged. Recharging of the battery is recommended. + Ifthe 12.6 volt LED also lights up, the battery is fully charged and capable of starting. À Important: Before charging, learn about how to maintain the battery by reading its operating instructions!

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations.
