Read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

- To ensure proper use of this helmet, familiarise yourself with its features and settings by reading this manual carefully before using your helmet.

- This helmet is designed for motorcycle riding. Any other use remains the responsibility of the owner. It must never be used for activities other than those indicated.

- Note that the protection provided by a helmet is limited and only affects the covered areas of the head. This helmet offers no protection against spinal or other bodily injuries. You are cautioned that wearing a properly fitted helmet does not guarantee that you will not suffer serious injury or death in the event of an accident.

WARNINGS:

a. No helmet can protect the wearer against all possible impacts.
b. The helmet is designed to be fastened by a strap under the lower jaw.
c. To be effective, the helmet must fit and be worn correctly. To check the correct fit, place the helmet on the head and make the necessary adjustments as

indicated below. Secure the restraint system safely. Grasp the helmet and try to rotate it back and forth. A correctly fitted helmet should be comfortable and must not move forwards to obstruct vision or backwards.

d. No adjustments should be made to the helmet except those recommended by the helmet manufacturer in this instruction manual.

e. The helmet is designed to absorb impacts through partial destruction of the housing and liner. This damage may not be visible. Therefore, if subjected to a severe blow, the helmet must be destroyed and replaced, even if it appears to be undamaged. The helmet may be damaged and rendered unusable by petroleum-based products, cleaning agents, paints, adhesives, etc., without the user being able to detect the damage visually.

f. A helmet has a limited service life and should be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear.

g. The helmet can only protect if it fits properly and the buyer should try on different sizes and choose the one that feels secure and comfortable on the head.

h. It is dangerous to modify or remove any original part of the helmet except as recommended by the manufacturer. Helmets shall not be adapted to fit accessories in a manner not recommended by the manufacturer.

2. Before use

• This helmet comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the helmet from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the helmet in case future transport is needed. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

- Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. Proper use

- To ensure sufficient protection, it is necessary to put on the helmet so that it fits the head perfectly and fasten it correctly and, furthermore, with the helmet on you must have good peripheral vision. The primary function of this helmet is to absorb

energy produced by a strong impact through partial alteration of the components incorporated specifically to absorb such energy. The resulting damage may not be evident, but following a violent impact it is necessary to replace the helmet.

• Varnishes, adhesives, petrol or other chemical solvents must not be applied.
• Retention system: must be carefully adjusted and remain fastened at all times during riding. The chin strap must pass under the chin without twisting. It should be taut with a wide contact surface.
• Garments under the fastening: do not wear scarves or similar garments beneath the retention system. Ensure that nothing obstructs the airflow into the helmet.
• Visor and internal sun visor: keep the visor clean and scratch-free. Do not use the internal sun visor at night or in reduced visibility conditions. Worn or scratched visors must be replaced immediately. Only original spare parts should be used.
• Modification prohibited: do not make modifications to any part of the helmet. Do not apply heat to the shell or other components. Do not handle or tighten the fixings outside the operations specified in this instruction manual. Paint may deteriorate with ultraviolet radiation.
• Transport: do not transport the helmet hanging from the motorcycle. Keep it away from the exhaust pipe and heat sources.
• Size: to ensure it is your size, in front of a mirror, gently rotate the helmet around the head; the skin at the temples should follow the movement.
• Fitting: with the retention system open, the helmet must not move laterally or rotate around the head.
• Occasionally, if dazzled by headlights from oncoming vehicles or in heavy rain, it may be advisable to raise the visor. The visor is designed to be raised, but not to be completely removed during use.

4. Cleaning and maintenance

• After using the helmet, with a soft cloth gently wipe any dirt (for example, insects, earth, sand, dust, etc.) from the visor and then clean it completely with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use solvents, petrol or harsh detergents to clean the shell or interior.
• Clean with water and mild soap. The interior padding may be cleaned with the same products, using a soft brush.
• Clean the visor with soap and water. Do not expose to heat sources.
• When the visor becomes wet (for example, with rainwater), it should always be dried afterwards with a soft cloth.
• Inspection: Carry out a visual inspection of the helmet to ensure there is no visible damage, cracks or significant wear. If you encounter any problems, you should replace the helmet.
• Storage in a safe place: Once the helmet is clean, store it in the carrying bag and place it on a firm, level surface; the helmet could be damaged if it rolls or falls to the ground. Find a dry, cool and safe place to store the helmet. Avoid areas exposed to direct sunlight, moisture or extreme temperature changes. Excessive heat can damage the helmet. Heat-damaged helmets often have uneven or bubbly

surfaces.

• Impact protection: Avoid dropping or striking the helmet during storage, as this could compromise its integrity and protective capabilities.
• Periodic review: Although the helmet is in storage, it is advisable to carry out periodic reviews to ensure there are no hidden damage or deterioration to its structure.
