How to use the turbo function?

Press the Turbo button (1) for a brief use at very high speed. A pulsed press gives a pulse operation. Do not use for more than 3 minutes consecutively.

What accessories are included with the HM 2738?

The delivery includes: two whisks for beating egg whites, two dough hooks, one whisk for mixing and a wall mount for storage.

How to attach the accessories?

For the whisks/hooks: insert them from below while turning slightly until they click into place. For the whisk: lift the tab at the back, align the arrows and screw clockwise. The dough hooks and egg white whisks (marked) go into the right opening of the mixer.

How to remove the accessories?

Press the Eject button (3) to easily detach the whisks or hooks. Make sure the appliance is off and unplugged.

What is the maximum continuous use time?

Do not exceed 5 minutes of continuous use (normal mixing). For turbo function, limit to 3 minutes. Let the appliance cool for at least 10 minutes before reuse.

How to clean the mixer?

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the body with a dry cloth. The accessories can be washed in soapy water like ordinary dishes. Never immerse the body in water.

Can the HM 2738 be used to knead dough?

Yes, use the dough hooks (kneader) for preparations like butter, potatoes or light dough. Choose a suitable speed with the variable control.

What containers are preferable to use?

For best results, use containers not too large and with high sides to avoid splashing. Immerse the accessories completely into the food before turning on.

What to do in case of malfunction?

First check the fuses and the plug. If the problem persists, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact a qualified technician or CLATRONIC after-sales service. Use only original parts.

How to install the wall mount?

Attach the wall mount using the supplied elements (screws and wall plugs). Then place the appliance in the mount. To remove it, hold the eject button depressed and pull the mixer straight out.

General Safety Instructions

• Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised. To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance.

Special Safety Instructions for this Machine

• Do not touch any moving parts of the machine and always wait for it to stop.
• In order to avoid splashing, always insert the rods fully into the food being mixed before you switch the mixer on.
  Only mix or whisk food with this machine.
• Do not operate the mixer for more than 5 minutes! Then let it cool down for approximately 10 minutes before using it again!

Initial Operation

Ensure that the machine is not connected to the mains.

Assembly of the Whisk/Kneading Hook/Beater

• Press the two whisks or kneading hooks on the bottom by turning slightly until they lock in place.
• If you would like to use the beater, pull the tab on the back of the machine upwards and insert the beater. Please make sure when inserting the beater that the arrow on the machine and the arrow on the rod of the beater are located one above the other. Turn the rod of the beater firmly in a clockwise direction. The rod of the beater should be released in the reverse order.

Note:

The kneading hook/whisk must be inserted into the correct opening of the mixer!

Assembly of the Wall Mounting

Fix the wall mounting in place with the material supplied.
- Then press the machine into the wall mounting.
- In order to remove the hand mixer from the wall mounting, press and hold down the reject button (3). Then pull the mixer straight out.

Using the Machine

1. Please ensure that the speed switch (2) is turned to "0/OFF".
2. Connect the mixer to a properly installed power socket, 230V 50Hz

3. Insert the kneading hook or whisk into the food to be mixed. Set the desired speed with the speed switch (2):

4. Kneading hook: butter, potatoes, light mixture

5. Whisk: sauscs, milk mix, etc., desserts, pudding, egg white, frothy cream.

6. Beater: salad dressings, light pancakes, mixtures, pesto

7. Tilt the machine slightly up and down.

Note: For optimum results use high-walled vessels that are not too large.

Turbo Switch (1)

This is for switching to maximum speed for a short time. Press at short intervals for pulsed mode operation.

WARNING: Do not use this function for more than 3 minutes!

Releasing the kneading hook / whisk

In order to release the hook, press the release button (3).

Cleaning

• Disconnect the machine from the mains.
  Clean the machine after use with a dry cloth.
• Clean the equipment in the usual way in soapy water.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
