2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

Drain hose connection

• Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum internal diameter of 40 mm or place it in the sink, avoiding bottlenecks or sharp bends.
• The height of the discharge point must not exceed 600 mm from the ground. Fig. 2
• The free end of the hose must not be immersed in water to prevent backflow.
• Securely attach the drain hose in position A (sink trap connection) or position B (standpipe), using the U-bend guide and fixing clips/clamps.

How to drain residual water from hoses

• If the drain pipe connection is positioned higher than 600 mm, excess water may remain in the drain hose.
• To empty: disconnect the free end of the hose from the siphon or standpipe and lower the end into a container below sink level. Allow to drain completely. Reconnect and clamp.

Water outlet

• Properly connect the drain hose to the sink trap/standpipe to prevent leakage.
• Make sure the hose is not pinched or crushed behind the appliance and form a high loop under the countertop to minimize backflow.
• After installation, check for tightness by running a short cycle.

Extension hose

• If you need to extend the Drain Hose, use a hose of the same type and diameter.
• Maximum total length: 4 m. Exceeding the maximum length may reduce washing performance and drainage.
• Use a union sleeve and clamp the connections with clamps. Avoid tight elbows and pocketing sections.

Siphon connection

• The drain connection height must not exceed 600 mm measured from floor level (or dishwasher base).
• Keep the end of the hose without submerging it in water to avoid backflows.
• If connecting to a disposer, remove the inner plug from the spigot before attaching the hose.

Positioning the appliance

• Place the dishwasher in the desired location. Align the sides with adjacent furniture and leave enough space behind for the unclogged passage of hoses and power cable.
• Inlet and drain hoses can be oriented to the left or right for ease of installation.

Caution

• Place the dishwasher on a solid, flat and sturdy surface.
• Do not install on elevated or unstable surfaces.

Levelling and clearance

• Level the appliance on both axes using the adjustable feet until all four feet are firmly grounded. Poor levelling may affect door closure, drainage and noise/vibration levels.
• Allow enough front space to open the door fully and remove the baskets.
• Do not crush or kink the cable or hoses behind or under the appliance.

Environment and ventilation

• Install indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources, frost risk and direct sunlight.
• Do not place the appliance on carpets or rugs that may obstruct the bottom ventilation. Do not block the baseboard or ventilation grilles.

Accessibility

Keep the grounded outlet, water inlet faucet and service/maintenance drain point accessible.

Dishwasher front panel installation

This section details the steps for installing a decorative front panel on your built-in dishwasher. A template with measurements and illustrations for drilling installation holes is supplied with the dishwasher. Use this template to mark and drill holes before panel installation.

Tools required

• Drilling with 2 mm diameter drill bit
• Screwdriver bits: Torx T15 and Phillips

Installation procedure

1. Mark the centre line on the wooden panel.
2. In the document template, draw a line just above the arrow (along its top edge). If the arrow already touches the top edge, skip this step.
3. Cut the template along the line you have just marked on the document.
4. Align the top edge of the paper (template) with the top edge of the wood panel. Match the center lines.

5. Position the template flush and secure it firmly with adhesive tape.

6. With the 2 mm drill bit. Drill a total of 12 holes in the wooden board of the furniture to be embedded, following the marks indicated on the paper, drill holes approximately 15 mm deep. Ensure you do not drill through the entire panel thickness.

7. Use STA4×20 (2 pcs) and 4×12 (4 pcs) screws.
8. Remove the 6 screws from the dishwasher.
9. First align the panel's upper frame with the dishwasher and slide downwards.
10. Install the 6 screws previously removed.
11. Adjust the front screws to balance the dishwasher door.

Before first use

1. Ensure all packaging materials have been removed from inside the dishwasher.
2. Adjust the water softener level according to the water hardness in your area (refer to the reference table in this manual).
3. Add dishwasher salt to the salt tank, then fill with water to the top of the tank.
4. Refill the rinse aid dispenser.

A. Water softener (water hardness level setting)

Water hardness varies according to the area. If hard water is used, deposits may form on dishes and utensils. The dishwasher allows the salt consumption to be adjusted according to the water hardness to optimise usage. To set the salt consumption level, proceed as follows:

1. Open the door and press the Power touch icon to switch on the appliance.
2. Within 60 seconds, press and hold the start/pause touch icon for 5 seconds. The dishwasher will enter the setting mode: all wash cycle lights will flash three times and then the system will be set to the default descaler level, H3.
3. Press the Start/Pause touch icon to select the appropriate level for your local area. The sequence of levels changes in this order: H1 → H2 → H3 → H4 → H5 → H6.
4. Press the Power touch icon; settings will be saved when the appliance powers off.

B. Loading salt into the water softener

The salt tank is located under the lower basket and must be filled as follows:

Caution

• Use only salt specifically designed for dishwashers. Any other type of salt will damage the water softener. Damage resulting from the use of improper salt is not covered by warranty and Cecotec assumes no liability.
• Refill the salt tank just before starting one of the full washing programmes. This will prevent salt grains or spilled salt water from remaining at the bottom of the machine for extended periods, which could cause corrosion.

Adding salt to the salt compartment

1. Remove the lower basket and unscrew and remove the salt tank cap.
2. Place the supplied funnel's end into the tank opening and pour in the dishwasher salt.
3. If filling for the first time, add water until the tank is completely full.
4. Carefully screw the cap back on.
5. Normally, the low salt indicator will turn off after refilling the Salt Tank.

Notes

- The salt tank must be refilled when the salt refill indicator illuminates on the control panel. Even if the tank is full, the indicator may remain lit until the added salt is completely dissolved.

- Do not overfill the salt tank and clean up any spillage.

C. Detergent usage

- All washing cycles require detergent in the dispenser's detergent compartment. Add the appropriate amount for the selected programme to obtain the best performance.

Safety warnings

• Only use detergents specifically designed for dishwashers. Store the detergent in a cool, dry place. Do not place powder detergent in the dispenser until ready to start the washing cycle.
• Do not use soap, laundry detergent or washing-up liquid in the dishwasher.
• Do not ingest dishwasher detergent or inhale its fumes. Dishwasher detergent contains irritating and caustic substances that may cause respiratory disorders. In case of ingestion or inhalation, seek medical attention immediately.
• Keep the detergent out of the reach of children.

Filling the detergent dispenser

1. Open the detergent compartment by pressing the button.
2. Add the recommended amount of detergent to the main wash compartment. The main compartment incorporates 15 ml and 25 ml dosing marks to adjust the amount according to the level of soiling. For dishes requiring intensive washing, add 5 ml of detergent to the pre-wash section of the compartment.
3. Close the detergent compartment by sliding the lid in the direction of the arrow.
   Note: always respect the dosage indicated by the detergent manufacturer.

D. Rinse aid usage

Filling the rinse aid compartment improves rinsing and drying performance. Fig. 5.

• To fill the rinse aid compartment, open its lid.
• Fill it with rinse aid up to the MAX mark and close the lid. Do not overfill the compartment and wipe up any spills.
• Close the lid to lock the rinse aid compartment.
• The rinse aid is automatically dosed in the last rinse for efficient rinsing and streak-free drying.

Caution

Use only dishwasher rinse aid. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with other substances (e.g., dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). It could damage the appliance.

Setting the rinse aid level (R1-R5)

Make this setting before starting a programme.

1. Close the door and press the Power icon to switch on the appliance.
2. Within the next 60 seconds, press and hold the home touch icon for 5 seconds to enter the setting mode. The display will show the default level "R3".
3. To change the level, press the delayed start touch icon repeatedly. Each press will cycle through: R1 → R2 → R3 → R4 → R5.
4. Once the appropriate level has been selected, press the Power touch icon to save the settings.

Enable and disable sounds

Default status: the beeps are activated.

1. Open the door and switch on the dishwasher.
2. Press and hold the ECO and Start/Pause touch icons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The sound will be disabled, and the interior light will not activate when opening the door.
3. To reactivate the sound, press and hold ECO and Start/Pause again for 3 seconds.

Note: this function can only be configured in standby mode. If the appliance is disconnected from mains power and reconnected, sounds will revert to default settings.

Loading the dishwasher baskets

For best performance, follow these loading guidelines.

Caution. Items not suitable for dishwasher cleaning:

• Temperature-sensitive plastic tableware and utensils, copper or tin-plated containers, aluminium and silver cutlery.
• Fine glassware, decorated porcelain with printed patterns, and utensils with adhered glass elements.
• Items with absorbent properties (sponges, household cloths).

Recommendations before/after loading of baskets

• Remove large food residues. Pre-rinsing under the tap is not necessary. If the crockery or cookware has baked/burnt or heavily adhered residues, it is recommended to soak them before washing.
• Load items into the dishwasher following these rules:

o Cups, glasses, pots/pans, etc., upside down.
o Curved or cavity pieces, slightly inclined to facilitate draining.
o Ensure the stability of the load to avoid overturning.
- Do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms during washing.
Place cutlery, chopsticks and small items in the cutlery basket. Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they may fall from the baskets.

Removing the tableware

To prevent water dripping from the upper basket onto the lower basket, empty the lower basket first, followed by the upper basket.

Loading the upper basket

The upper basket is designed for more delicate and lightweight items such as glasses, coffee and tea cups with their saucers, as well as small plates, small bowls and shallow pans or trays (if not heavily soiled). Place crockery and utensils so that the water jet does not displace them. Always place glasses, cups and bowls upside down.

Adjusting the upper basket

If needed, the height of the upper basket can be adjusted to create more space for large utensils in either the upper or lower basket. The method of adjustment depends on the model:

(A) Wheel position adjustment (depending on model)

• Place wheels in holes/rails of different heights to vary the position of the upper basket. (B) Adjustment by displacement (depending on model)
• Lift: pull the upper basket upwards to raise it (A).
• Lower: pull again as indicated to lower it (B).

Long items (e.g., serving cutlery, salad tongs or knives) should be placed on the rack to avoid obstructing the spray arm rotation. The rack can be folded down or removed when not required.

Warning

It is recommended to adjust the height of the upper basket before loading the dishes. Adjusting the basket once it is loaded may damage the dishes.

Loading the lower basket

It is recommended to place larger and harder-to-clean utensils in the lower basket: pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls.

• Place serving dishes and lids at the sides of the baskets to avoid blocking the rotation of the upper spray arm.
• Pots, dishes and bowls should always be placed upside down. Deep parts should be sloped to facilitate drainage.
• The lower basket has rows of folding tines for loading more pots and pans or larger pieces.

Cutlery tray

The cutlery tray is designed for washing cutlery (forks, spoons, knives, etc.) by placing it between the bars/grids of the tray itself to keep each piece separate and ensure even cleaning and drying.

• Place the pieces individually, without overlapping.
• Place the knives with the cutting edge downward or in a horizontal position.
• Distribute cutlery by zones to avoid "nesting" (e.g., wedged spoons).
• Prevent protruding utensils from interfering with the upper spray arm or door closure.

A. ECO: Ecological mode, saves energy and water, suitable for general cleaning needs.
B. UNIVERSAL: Daily cleaning mode, suitable for moderately soiled dishes.
C. RAPID: Suitable for cleaning fresh, slightly sticky food residues at maximum speed.
D. INTENSIVE: Powerful cleaning mode, suitable for dishes, pots and pans with stubborn stains.
E. HYGIENE: Suitable for heavily soiled dishes requiring hygienic washing.
F. GLASS: Suitable for washing delicate glassware.

1. Extra function touch icons: use these icons to select the appropriate extra washing function; the function indicator will illuminate. While the dishwasher is switched on, the available extra functions will flash; the indicator will remain lit once selected.

G. DELAY START: Set the start time, 0-24 hours. H. HALF LOAD: Reduces water and electricity consumption, allowing you to select three washing states: upper wash, lower wash, and simultaneous upper and lower wash.

I. SUPER DRY: Adds additional drying time to the main washing procedure for enhanced drying results.

J. SAVE+: Saves energy by reducing time and temperature during the drying phase. This extra function is recommended for a capacity of 8 place settings or less.

1. Start/pause touch icon: press this icon to start/pause a programme. Press and hold this icon for 3 seconds to cancel the existing programme and drain the unit, then select the new required programme.
2. AUTOCLEAN programme: press and hold both the Half Wash and Super Dry function icons simultaneously for 3 seconds to start the self-cleaning programme; the digital display will show a 90-minute countdown.

Warning indicator lights:

K. Salt: If the indicator light is lit, it means the dishwasher is low on salt and requires refilling.
L. Rinse aid: If the indicator light is lit, it means the dishwasher is low on rinse aid and requires refilling.
M. Water inlet: If the indicator light is lit, it means that the water inlet is closed or blocked.

Starting a washing programme

1. Remove the lower basket and the upper basket, load the dishes and slide the baskets back in. It is recommended to load the lower basket first, then the upper one.
2. Add detergent to the designated dispenser compartment.
3. Connect the appliance plug to the mains socket.
4. Make sure that the water inlet tap is fully open. Press the on/off touch icon to turn on, press the touch icon of the programme that best suits your needs to select it. Press the start/pause touch icon to start the programme and close the door firmly until it locks securely.

Note: A “click” may be heard when the door is properly closed.

Changing the programme

1. A programme in progress can only be modified if it has been running for a short time. Otherwise, the detergent may have already been released and/or the appliance may have drained the washing water. If this happens, it will be necessary to reload detergent again.
2. During the washing process, open the door slightly to pause the programme, then press the on/off touch icon to turn the appliance off.
3. Press the Power touch icon again to switch on the appliance. Then select the programme.

Note:

- If you open the door during washing, the dishwasher pauses, and the countdown timer stops. When closing the door, the dishwasher resumes the cycle after 10 seconds.

Dishwasher status information indicator

- Fixed light: cycle in progress.

- Light flashing: pause.

Add crockery

Forgotten dishes can be added any time before the detergent compartment lid opens.

1. Open the door slightly to pause the programme.
2. Wait until the spray arms come to a complete stop, then fully open the door.
3. Insert the forgotten dishes.
4. Close the door; the dishwasher will resume the cycle after 10 seconds.

Warning:

- Opening the door during washing can release very hot water and steam, with risk of burns. If the door is opened during operation, the dishwasher automatically stops.

End of washing programme

- The digital display shows "00" and beeps three times. The display will then show "End". If no operation is performed, the display will turn off, and the dishwasher will automatically turn off after 3 minutes.

Precautions when opening the door

• Open the door carefully: very hot steam may escape.
• Hot dishes are sensitive to impact. Allow the dishes to cool for approximately 15 minutes before removing them.
• Open the door slightly and wait a few minutes before unloading. This will cool the dishes and improve drying.

Information Indicator

This model is equipped with a light that projects onto the floor to show the status of the dishwasher:

• Solid blue: cycle in progress.
• Green: end of programme.
• Red: pause.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance tasks, always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and turn off the water supply.

Filtration system

The filtration system consists of a coarse filter, flat filter and microfilter.

1. Flat filter: food debris is trapped here aided by a dedicated jet from the lower spray arm.
2. Coarse filter: retains large debris (e.g., bones or glass fragments) that could clog the drain. To remove a trapped object, gently press the upper tabs of this filter and pull it out.
3. Microfilter: retains fine particles in the crankcase area and prevents them from being redeposited on the dishes during the cycle.

Filter inspection and cleaning

• Check filters for clogging after each use.
• Unscrewing the coarse filter removes the filter assembly. Remove food debris and clean the filters under running water.
• After cleaning, reassemble them correctly and make sure that the Coarse Filter is screwed on tightly.

The filter prevents food debris from entering the washing system. However, they can sometimes become clogged and affect performance. It is recommended to check the Flat Filter at the end of each programme and clean it if necessary. Additionally, it is advisable to disassemble and clean the filter assembly at least once a week.

Cleaning the filter assembly

1. Remove the coarse filter from the microfilter by pulling upwards.
2. Turn the microfilter counterclockwise to unlock it.
3. Remove the Microfilter together with the Flat Filter from the tank.
4. Wash the filters under running water. Use warm water and a soft bristle brush.

Reassemble in reverse order: place the flat Filter, insert and lock the Microfilter (turn it clockwise until it stops) and finally place the coarse Filter, making sure it clicks into place. Check that there is no clearance.

Notes:

• Do not run a programme without the filters properly installed.
• Incorrect filter assembly can reduce washing performance and damage the appliance.
• Do not strike the filters when cleaning them: they could become deformed and affect the performance of the dishwasher.

Cleaning the spray arms

The spray arms require periodic cleaning; limescale and minerals from hard water may block the holes and nozzles.

1. Pull the lower spray arm upwards to remove it.
2. Upper spray arm: first remove the locking clip/clamp by rotating it, then extract the arm.

3. Thoroughly wash and rinse both spray arms before reinstallation.

4. When refitting the upper spray arm, ensure the locking clip/clamp is securely tightened.

5. Check that both spray arms rotate freely.

Dishwasher care

• Control panel: wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry completely.
• Exterior: use specific cleaner/polish for appliances or stainless steel. Do not use sharp objects, scouring pads, abrasive, chlorinated or solvent-based cleaners on any part of the appliance.

Cleaning the door

• To clean the perimeter edge of the door, use only a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
• To prevent water from entering the lock and electrical components, do not use spray cleaners directly on or near the door.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on exterior surfaces as they may scratch the finish. Some paper towels can also scratch or leave marks; microfibre is preferred.

Frost protection

If the dishwasher will remain in an unheated location during winter, it is recommended to have it serviced by a qualified technician. Basic procedure:

1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Turn off the water supply and disconnect the inlet hose from the water valve.
3. Drain the water from the inlet hose and valve into a container.
4. Reconnect the inlet hose to the water valve.
5. Remove the filter assembly and, using a sponge, soak up the residual water from the sump in the bottom of the tank.

How to maintain your dishwasher

After every wash

Turn off the appliance's water supply and leave the door slightly ajar to prevent moisture and odours from building up.

Disconnecting the plug

Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always unplug the appliance from the mains socket. Do not take risks.

Solvent and abrasive free

• Do not use solvents or abrasive products to clean the exterior and rubbers. Use only a cloth with warm soapy water.
• To remove interior stains, use a cloth dampened with water and a small amount of white vinegar or a specific dishwasher cleaner.

When going on holiday

Run an empty wash cycle, disconnect the plug, turn off the water tap and leave the door ajar. This prolongs the life of the gaskets and prevents bad odours.

Moving the appliance

If it must be moved, keep it in an upright position. Only if it is essential, it can be placed on its back.

Gaskets

One of the factors that cause bad odours in the dishwasher is food trapped in the door seals. Periodic cleaning with a slightly damp sponge avoids this problem.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

Before contacting service Reviewing the tables on the following pages may save you from having to call for service.

Problem	Possible cause	Possible solution
The dishwasher does not work.	Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.	Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Disconnect other appliances sharing the same circuit as the dishwasher.
	No electrical supply.	Ensure the dishwasher is switched on and the door is properly closed. Check that the power cord is correctly plugged into the mains socket.
	Low water pressure or power failure.	Check that the water supply is properly connected and that the stopcock is open. In case of water supply interruption, switch off the dishwasher until supply is restored, then restart both the appliance and washing programme.
The drain pump does not stop.	Overflow	The system features overflow detection; if triggered, it automatically stops the circulation pump and activates the drain pump.
Noise.	Some audible noises are normal.	It is normal to hear the dispenser opening sound during the cycle.
	Utensils are not properly secured in the baskets, or a small item has fallen into the basket.	Properly secure all utensils and remove any loose objects inside the dishwasher.
	Motor humming.	The dishwasher has not been used regularly. If not used often, perform a fill and drain cycle once a week to help keep the gaskets moist.
Foam in the tank.	Unsuitable detergent.	Use only specific dishwasher detergent to prevent foam formation. If it occurs, open the door and allow the foam to dissipate. Add 1 approx. 3.8 litres of cold water to the tank. Close and lock the door and run the “prewash” cycle to evacuate the water. Repeat if necessary.
	Rinse aid spill.	Wipe up any rinse aid spillage immediately.
Stains on the inside of the tank.	A detergent with dyes has been used.	Ensure you use colour-free detergent.
Dirty crockery and cutlery.	Incorrect programme selection; improper rack loading.	Select a more intense programme. Ensure the dispenser operation and spray arm movement are not obstructed by large dishes.

Stains and veils on glasses and cutlery.	Extremely hard water.Low inlet water temperature.Dishwasher overloading.Improper loading.Old or damp powder detergent.Rinse aid dispenser empty.Incorrect detergent dosage.	Remove all metal utensils from the dishwasher.Do not add detergent.Select the longest cycle.Start the programme and let it run for about 18-22 minutes, until it is in the main wash phase.Open the door carefully and pour 2 cups (approx. 480 ml) of white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher.Close the door and let the dishwasher finish the cycle. If vinegar does not work: repeat the above procedure but use 1/4 cup (60ml) of citric acid crystals instead of vinegar.
Cloudiness on glassware.	Soft water combined with excess detergent.	Use less detergent if you have soft water and select a shorter cycle to wash and clean glassware.
Yellow or brown film on interior surfaces.	Tea or coffee stains.	Prepare a solution with 1/2 cup (120 ml) of bleach and 3 cups (720 ml) of warm water and remove stains by hand. Warning: Wait 20 minutes after a cycle finishes to allow the heating elements to cool before cleaning the interior; otherwise, you may get burned.
	Iron deposits in the water causing a generalized film.	Contact a decalcification company to install a specific filter.
White film on the interior surface.	Hard water minerals.	To clean the interior, use a damp sponge with specific dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. Do not use cleaners other than dishwasher detergent because of the risk of foaming.
The dispenser lid is not closing properly.	Detergent residue blocking the latch.	Clean detergent residues from the latch.
Detergent residue remains in dispenser compartments.	Dishes are blocking the dispenser compartments.	Rearrange the load correctly to prevent blocking the dispenser opening.
Steam.	Normal phenomenon.	It is normal for some steam to escape through the vent next to the door closure during drying and draining.
Black or grey marks on tableware.	Aluminium items have brushed against the tableware.	Use a mildly abrasive cleaner to remove these marks.
Water accumulated in the bottom of the tank.	Water cut-off during water intake.	A small amount of clean water around the outlet on the tub bottom keeps the water seal lubricated. However, if you see a lot of residual water, it could be due to a water cut-off during the filling process. Once water supply is restored, restart the dishwasher and washing programme; drainage will occur automatically.
Dishwasher leaks.	Excessive rinse aid or rinse aid spills.	Take care not to overfill the rinse aid dispenser. Spilled rinse aid could cause excessive foam and lead to overflowing. Wipe any spills with a damp cloth.
	Dishwasher is not level.	Ensure the dishwasher is level.

NOTE: Olive pits or similar objects can pass through the filter system and reach the drain pump area. In this case, the drain pump becomes blocked and needs cleaning. Remove the pump cover by pushing outwards, then you can clean the pump impeller yourself. After that, put the cover back in position. Fig. 14

Improper machine maintenance may endanger users' safety. Any repairs must be carried out by professionals.

Error codes

After starting the wash cycle, if there is a malfunction, the dishwasher will display an error code. The following table shows possible error codes and the faults they represent; the error indicator will flash, and the appliance will beep.

Error codes:

E1	Overflow/leakage
E2	Water inlet malfunction
E4	Water distribution valve malfunction
E5	Fan malfunction
E6	Abnormal heating
E7	Thermistor open/short circuit
EA	Abnormal communication
