How to install the ceiling fan?

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Attach the mounting plate to the ceiling, connect the wires according to the diagram provided in the manual, then fix the fan onto the plate. Make sure the ceiling can support a weight of at least 30 kg.

How to clean the blades?

Use a soft, dry cloth to dust the blades. For stains, lightly dampen the cloth with soapy water. Never use abrasive products or solvents. Unplug the appliance before cleaning.

The remote control no longer works, what to do?

First check the batteries (type AAA) and replace them if necessary. Ensure no obstacle blocks the signal between the remote and the receiver. If the problem persists, reset the fan by cutting off power for 10 seconds.

How to reverse the rotation direction?

Use the direction button on the remote or the fan. In summer, the blades rotate counterclockwise to create a breeze. In winter, reverse the direction (clockwise) to redistribute heat from the ceiling to the floor.

The fan makes noise, is this normal?

A slight hum is normal, but excessive noise may indicate blade imbalance or loose screws. Check that all screws are tight and the blades are not warped. Use the balancing kit provided if necessary.

What is the minimum ceiling height?

For optimal safety, the minimum height between the floor and the blades must be at least 2.30 meters. The fan should be installed so that the blades are more than 30 cm from the nearest wall.

Can I use the fan with a light bulb?

This model is not designed to be equipped with a light fixture. Do not attempt to add a bulb, as this could damage the motor or create a fire risk. Use the fan only as intended.

How to set the timer?

On the remote control, press the Timer button to choose the duration: 1, 4, or 8 hours. The fan will automatically turn off after the selected time. An audible signal confirms the programming.

The fan stops on its own, why?

This may be due to motor overheating (the fan automatically shuts off). Check that the blades rotate freely and the motor is not obstructed. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes before restarting. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Is this fan suitable for a humid room?

No, this fan has an IP20 rating, meaning it is not protected against moisture. Use it only in dry indoor rooms such as living rooms or bedrooms. Do not install it in a bathroom or humid kitchen.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given appropriate supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

• To adjust the speed of the fan blades, only use the means for speed control provided by Cecotec.
• Do not bend the blade-attachment system during the installation or cleaning process.
• Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance works properly. Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
• Make sure the fan is not placed close to curtains or

other objects it may become entangled with.

• In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
• It is recommended that two people install the appliance.
• This appliance is designed for indoor use.

Instructions on batteries

• Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft-tissue perforation, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.
• In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
• Do not disassemble, open, or damage the batteries.
• Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Pay particular attention to small batteries. In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not expose batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
• Do not short-circuit an element or a battery. Do not store batteries in an untidy manner, in a box, or drawer where they can short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects.
• Both batteries and cells can leak under extreme conditions. In the event of a battery leak, keep your

skin and eyes away from the liquid. If the liquid comes into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, rinse them immediately with clean water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.

• Pay attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) marks on the batteries and the remote-control compartment to ensure they are inserted correctly.
• Do not use any batteries that are not designed for use with the appliance.
• Do not mix batteries of different manufacture, capacity, or size. Supervise children to prevent them from playing with batteries.
  • Always buy recommended batteries.
• Keep the batteries clean and dry. Wipe the battery terminals with a clean, dry cloth if they become dirty.
• Keep the original instruction manual for future reference.
• Whenever possible, remove the batteries when not in use.

2. Before use

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

3. Installation

ENGLISH

• Remove the safety pin and bolt from the downrod + hanging ball (B).
• Loosen the locking screw until it is flush with the inner surface.
• Remove the downrod + hanging ball (B), canopy (C) and motor cover (D).
• Slide the downrod + hanging ball (B) through the canopy (C) and motor cover (D).
• Thread the motor cables through the motor cover (D), canopy (C) and downrod + hanging ball (B).
• Insert the bolt through the holes in the downrod + hanging ball (B) and the motor shaft of the fan main body (E). Avoid pinching or damaging the cables.
• Secure the bolt by inserting the safety pin into the end hole.
  ● Tighten the locking screw to secure the downrod + hanging ball (B).
• Slide the motor cover (D) downwards until it is flush with the fan main body (E).

Installing the mounting bracket (A)

- Secure the mounting bracket (A) and rubber gaskets to the metal junction box on the ceiling using the screws provided with the box.

A) Making the connections

• Use cable connectors to connect the conductors of the household mains to those of the receiver (F), following Figure 4. Power supply circuit: 230 V\~50 Hz. Colours indicated in the diagram: Blue (AC-N), Earth (Ground), Brown (AC-L).
• Insert the controller connection cable terminals correctly, as shown in Figure 4.
• Insert the light kit terminals into the receiver (F) terminals.
• Insert the motor terminals into the receiver (F) terminals.
• Insert the mounting bracket (A) terminals as shown in the diagram.

Note: Once the earth cables are connected, carefully insert all cables and connectors inside the metal box on the ceiling. Ensure that the cables are kept away from the canopy ball and the downrod + hanging ball (B) when the assembly is positioned on the mounting bracket (A). (Fig. 4).

B) Locating the receiver (F) and closing

● Push all connected cables inside the ceiling box.
● Place the receiver (F) on the mounting bracket (A), as shown in Figure 5.
- When installing the canopy (C), ensure that it does not compress the receiver (F) aerial.
● Ensure that all earth cables are connected.

Fitting the hanging ball (only for assembly with downrod)

• Carefully rotate the fan assembly until the hanging ball slot (11) fits over the tab on the mounting bracket (A). The ball must be supported and locked in the mounting bracket to prevent the assembly from rotating.
• Loosen (do not remove) the two mounting bracket (A) screws. Slide the canopy (C) onto the mounting bracket and align the keyhole holes in the canopy with the screws. Rotate the canopy until it locks into the narrow section of the holes.
• Align the remaining holes in the canopy (C) with those in the mounting bracket (A) and secure the canopy with the two sets of screws until tight (without exceeding the tightening torque).

Warning: If the hanging ball slot (11) is not correctly seated on the mounting bracket (A) tab, the cables may be damaged and there may be a risk of electric shock or fire.

Note for pitched roofs

- On sloped ceilings, orient the tab on the mounting bracket (A) towards the top of the ceiling slope. Depending on the slope, a longer downrod (12) may be required to prevent the blades from hitting the ceiling.

Light

Insert the bulb as shown in Figure 7.

4. Operation

• If the fan does not respond to the remote control (I), power up the receiver (I) and, within 15 seconds, press and hold the power/pairing button (1) for 5 seconds to start pairing.
• When pairing is complete, the fan will emit three short beeps.

Checks if no response

• Check that the batteries in the remote control make good contact, that the polarity (+/-) is correct and that they are sufficiently charged.
• Check for nearby products with similar transmitters operating on the same frequency, they may interfere with each other.
• When installing the fan, ensure that the canopy (B) and/or decorative canopy cover (D) do not press against the receiver aerial (I) or other cables, to avoid damage or short circuits.

Remote control batteries

• Remove the battery compartment cover from the remote control.
  ● Install two 1.5 V AAA batteries, observing polarity.
• Replace the cover. Remove the batteries if the remote control is not going to be used for an extended period of time.

5. Cleaning and maintenance

Inspection and retightening

• Normal use may loosen some fixings. A clicking, rattling or vibration sound usually indicates loose screws.
  ● Every 6 months, check and retighten if necessary:

a. Screws of the mounting bracket, hanging ball and downrod.
b. Fixing screws.

● Tighten firmly without forcing to avoid damaging threads.

Cleaning

• Clean the fan periodically with a soft cloth slightly dampened with mild detergent. Dry afterwards.
• Do not use solvents, alcohol, ammonia, abrasives or scouring pads.
• Remove dust from the blades with a soft cloth or brush. Metal parts are lacquered to prevent staining, do not polish with abrasive compounds.
• Do not spray cleaners directly onto the lighting system.

Lubrication

- The fan does not require greasing. The bearings are permanently sealed for quiet, long-lasting operation.

Safety

● Always disconnect the mains supply at the switchboard and verify absence of voltage before carrying out any adjustment, inspection or cleaning.
● Wait for the blades to come to a complete stop before working on the fan.

6. Troubleshooting

PROBLEM 1. The fan does not work.

- Check all fuses and circuit breakers in the switchboard.

ENGLISH

• Check the wiring connections between the mains, the junction box (6) and the receiver + remote control (F), as well as between the receiver (F) and the fan main body (E).
• Ensure that the connections under the canopy (C) are correctly made and secure.
  ● CAUTION: Switch off the power supply before performing any wiring checks.

PROBLEM 2. The fan makes noise.

• Check that all fan main body (E) screws are tight.
• Check that the blade bracket screws are tight and that the blades are properly secured to their brackets.
• Ensure that the cable connectors (terminal blocks/wire nuts) inside the canopy (C) do not hit the internal walls or the canopy cover (9).
• If the fan incorporates a light, make sure that all screws on the light assembly are tightened securely.
• Some motors are sensitive to solid state electronic regulators installed in the line. If you use one, replace it with a compatible alternative control.
• Allow a 24-hour "running-in" period. Most noises will disappear after this period.

PROBLEM 3. The fan wobbles or vibrates excessively.

• Check that all blades are firmly screwed to the blade brackets and that the brackets are firmly attached to the fan main body (E).
• Check the distance between each blade tip and the ceiling (7). It should be similar for all blades.
• Check the distance between opposite blade tips. All measurements should be equal. Loosen the blade bolts, adjust the position to match and retighten.
• Ensure that the hanging ball slot (11) is correctly seated on the mounting bracket tab (A).
• Ensure that the downrod (12) is correctly secured to the motor (3) using the clip (1) and bolt (2). If your model includes additional set screws, tighten them to specification.
• Ensure that the mounting bracket (A) is securely fixed to the wooden beam (5) with the screws (8) and that the canopy (C) is correctly secured to the mounting bracket (A) without interfering with the wiring.
• Check that the blades are not warped or deformed. If so, please contact the Technical Support Service for replacement parts.
