Frequently Asked Questions - HADG9DCS56B HAIER

How do I install the Haier HADG9DCS56B hood?
Installation should be done by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at least 65 cm above an electric hob or 75 cm above a gas hob. Follow the installation manual for wall mounting and ducting.
How often should I clean the grease filters?
Clean the aluminum mesh filters every 2-3 months, or more frequently if the hood is used heavily. Wash them in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher at low temperature. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.
Can I use the hood without a charcoal filter?
Yes, in extraction (ducted) mode, a charcoal filter is not needed. If you use recirculation mode, you must install a charcoal filter to absorb odors.
The hood is noisy. Is that normal?
Noise levels depend on the speed. At maximum speed, the hood can reach up to 65 dB(A). Ensure the ducting is not blocked and the filters are clean. If noise persists, check for loose parts.
How to replace the LED lights?
The LED lights are integrated and should be replaced by a qualified technician. Contact Haier customer service for assistance.
What is the warranty period?
The Haier HADG9DCS56B comes with a standard 2-year warranty. Extended warranty may be available depending on the retailer.
Can I control the hood remotely?
No, this model does not include remote control. It is operated via push buttons on the front panel.
How do I reset the filter saturation indicator?
After cleaning or replacing filters, press and hold the speed button for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.
What is the maximum duct length?
For optimal performance, the duct length should not exceed 3 meters with minimal bends. Use a smooth duct of 150 mm diameter.
How do I switch between extraction and recirculation mode?
The hood is set to extraction mode out of the box. For recirculation, purchase a charcoal filter kit and install it according to the manual. The mode change does not require any electrical modification.

ESSENTIAL: Clean the filter every month can prevent any risk of fire.

The filter collects grease, smoke and dust..... so the filter is directly affecting the efficiency of the cooker hood. If not cleaned, the grease residue (potential flammable) will saturate on the filter. Clean it with household cleaning detergent.

III. Annual Cleaning for Activated Carbon Filter

Apply SOLELY to unit that installed as a recirculation unit (not vented to the outside). This filter traps odors and must be replaced at least once a year

depending on how frequent the cooker hood used.

IV. Changing a light bulb

Remove the screws on the glass, take off the hood glass. Find the bulb that requires replacement, you will find it located in the light fixture which is inside the exposed section of the canopy.
