3. FOR YOUR SAFETY

The Instructions for Use contain important notes on safety and the information required for proper operation of the appliance!
Read the instructions in full, keep them in a file and pass them on to any subsequent owner.
All safety instructions are always intended for your own safety!
- A damaged appliance can no longer be used and should be disposed of accordingly.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation and keep it out of reach of children!
Always use the unit for the appropriate purpose! - Persons with nervous disorders should never use the appliance without accompanying person in order to avoid any danger.
- Important!
Never touch the whisk head whilst the appliance is being used.
- Warning! Risk of burns!
Splashes can cause burns to the skin when frothing hot liquids. Only switch on the appliance after the whisk head is fully immersed in the liquid.
- Warning!
Protect the appliance from moisture! Never put it into the dishwasher! Do not put it into water or other liquids!
4. USE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURPOSE
The milk frother is intended solely for the frothing of milk, sauces and dressings, hot or cold.
No liability is accepted for any damage resulting from use for other purposes, faulty operation or amateur repairs. Guarantee services are also excluded in such cases.
The appliance is not intended for catering purposes!
5. OPERATING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Clean the appliance thoroughly before using for the first time. 2 batteries, type AA, are included in the scope of supply.
Method:

-
- Push in both of the release buttons.
-
- Remove the battery casing.
-
- Insert both batteries in the compartment.
Take note of the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery casing. The casing must click into place.
6. USE
To froth milk
For preferred use fill a tall oval receptacle 1/3 with milk.
* Please note
Use milk that is between fridge-cold up to max. 60^ warm for frothing.
You can froth almost every type of milk; whether fresh or pasteurised, skimmed or full-fat. The best results are achieved using fridge-cold milk with a fat content of 1.5% .

Hold the appliance and immerse the whisk head in the milk.

Press the push-button to activate the frothing.

Move the appliance up and down slowly.
Ensure that the whisk head remains completely immersed in the milk.
* Please note
- Whilst frothing, ensure that the insertion rod and whisk head are not bent.
After producing the required amount of milk froth, let go of the push-button, wait until the whisk head comes to a complete standstill and take out the appliance.
7. MAINTENANCE

- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents!

Clean the casing with a dry, soft cloth.
-
Clean the insertion rod and whisk head immediately after each use to prevent permanent residues and deposits.
For this rinse the insertion rod and whisk head under cold water.

Looking after your appliance!
Insertion rod and whisk head are firmly connected and cannot be detached from each other. Do not
put the appliance down on the whisk head. This can cause the appliance and whisk head to be deformed.
- Replace used batteries. Remove batteries from the appliance during long periods of non-use.

Important!
Risk of injury due to battery leakage!
The used batteries contain substances which can cause injuries through skin contact or inhalation. Always wear rubber gloves to remove leaked batteries from the appliance and dispose of them in a sealed container (see Battery disposal).
8. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION


Battery disposal
As a consumer you are obliged by law to recycle used batteries. The following options are available for disposal:

through the dealer

through the hazardous waste container provided by the local authority.
Packaging - and appliance disposal
The packaging consists entirely of environmentally friendly materials which should be handed over at your local recycling point.
Please contact your local authority for information about disposal of your appliance at the end of its service life.
9. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a
household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. To remind you that you must collaborate with a selective collection scheme, the symbol shown appears on the product warning you not to dispose of it in traditional refuse containers. For further information, contact your local authority or the shop where you bought the product.

ANULACAO DA GARANTIAA
The Manufacturer's Guarantee is a separate, additional guarantee which does not affect the consumer's legal rights and is specifically issued for the customer and the appliance which it accompanies.
The Manufacturer's Guarantee for two years from the date of receipt of the appliance, and covers all repairs which may be carried out by the Official Technical Assistance Service. In the cases covered by this guarantee, the holder will be entitled to the repair of any original flaws or defects free of charge. If the repairs carried out are not satisfactory, and the appliance is not in optimum condition for the use for which it is intended, the holder of the guarantee shall be entitled to replacement of the appliance acquired by another of identical characteristics. The replacement appliance will be covered by the remaining guarantee on the original appliance, in any case this shall be 6 months.
EXCLUSIONS FROM THE GUARANTEE.
The following are excluded from this Guarantee. In these cases the total repair cost will correspond to the user:
a) Breakdown caused by negligence or improper use of the appliance by the consumer.
b) Breakdown caused by unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure (atmospheric or geological conditions) or natural disaster.
c) Interventions deriving from improper installation or lack of maintenance.
d) Periodical maintenance operations carried out on the product, including the spares needed for this periodical maintenance (rubber seals, etc.).
e) Wear or deterioration affecting the appearance of the appliance caused by use.
f) Cleaning the accumulation of lime scale in the appliance.
g) Appliances used in commercial or industrial establishments.
CANCELLATIONOFTHEGUARANTEE
This Guarantee shall be null and void and without effect if the appliance has been interfered with, modified or repaired by any unauthorised person or technical service other than the brand's official technical assistance service.
Very important: to benefit from this guarantee, it is absolutely essential for the user to provide the authorised technical service with an official receipt giving evidence of the date of purchase.
All our service technicians carry the corresponding identification accrediting them as Official Brand Technicians. It is in your own interest to ask to see this identification. Consult your distributor or check in the enclosed documentation for the address of the nearest technical service. This Guarantee shall only be valid within the European Union and shall refer exclusively to the appliance referred to and supplied by Fagor Electrodométricos, S.Coop. B°. San Andrés n° 18, Apdo. 49. 20500 Mondragon - Gipuzkoa.
In other countries, the guarantee shall be issued in accordance with the laws in force in each case.
