Unpacking the Device

• Remove the device from its packaging.
• Remove all of the packaging material such as foils, filling material, cable holders and cardboard packaging.
• Check the scope of delivery.

i NOTE:

There may still be dust or production residues on the surface of the device. We recommend that you quickly wipe off the housing with a damp cloth.

Assembly instructions

The device must be completely assembled before use! While reading the text it is advisable to refer to the "Overview of the Components" (Illustration B).

1. Insert the switch housing (12) into the stand (11). Attach it on the bottom with the crosshead screw (Illustration A).

2. Position the rear protection grid (7) in place in accordance with the recesses.

i NOTE:

Please ensure that the carrying handle is facing upwards.

1. Turn the attachment ring (6) for the rear protection grid (7) slightly in a clockwise direction.

2. Attach the propeller. Note the position of the guide pin on the motor shaft.

3. Tighten the attachment screw (4) for the propeller in an anticlockwise direction.

4. Insert the front protective grille (1).

i NOTE:

Ensure that the holes for the attachment screw in the front and rear protective grille are aligned one above the other.

1. Tighten the protective grille with the attachment screw (2) supplied.

2. Close the attachment hooks (3).

Position

The ideal position is a non-slip, fl at surface.

Wall Installation

You can also install the fan on the wall. Please remember that there must be an electric socket close by.

Setting up the Fan (Illustration C)

1. Release the wing screw (14) on the joint.
2. Remove the stopper (13) by loosening the screw.
3. Turn the motor through 90°.
4. Turn the wing screw until it is hand-tight.

Attachment to the Wall (Illustration. D)

On the underside of the switch housing there are two indentations. The distance between these indentations is 46 mm.

- Drill two horizontal holes at this distance.

△ CAUTION:

Please ensure beforehand that you will not be damaging any pipes or electric wires concealed in the wall!

• Insert rawlplugs into the holes.
• Please use two screws of size 4 x 25 mm. Allow the screws to protrude 10 - 12 mm out of the wall.
• Suspend the switch housing by the screws. Check that it is firmly held in place.

Putting into Service

Electrical Connection

1. Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.

2. Connect the device to a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket.

Use

Basic Settings

Set the blower inclination angle before starting the device.

• In order to do this, release the wing screw (14) and move the fan to the desired position.
  • Retighten the wing screw by hand.

i NOTE:

The stopper prevents the fan from falling over.

Operation

Use the pushbutton switches on the front to select the speed:

$$ 1 = \text { slow, } 2 = \text { medium, } 3 = \text { fast. } $$

Shift to „0“ to switch off the device.

Blower Direction/Oscillation

You can choose from the two following options:

1. The device must have been switched off before. The setting knob must be pulled out. Turn the device carefully with by hand by holding the fan on the sides and turning it either to the left or to the right until the limit stop.

△ CAUTION: do not exceed this limit.

1. Select the automatic swinging direction by pressing in the knob. The device swings automatically within a range of 90°. This function is active only when the fan is on. To deactivate the function pull out the setting knob.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the device.
- If you need to remove the safety guard: Always switch the device off and remove the mains plug.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the outside of the device with a dry cloth without any additives.
• If the device is very dirty wet a cloth with water and then wipe the device dry once you have fi nished.
