Power Lizard Ultralight Power Lizard Ultralight

Congratulations on choosing a VAUDE Power Lizard tent. This absolutely ultralight double wall tent was specifically designed for nature enthusiasts who place a high value on a minimal tent weight and pack size.
- and this in VAUDE's renowned premium quality.
Note: VAUDE tents are known for their extremely simple set up. If any step in the set up process seems difficult, do not use force. Instead, take the time to find out what the problem is.
Assembly Instructions
Please follow these instructions:
- Remove any sharp objects from the ground where the tent will be set up.
- Lay out the tent on the ground and connect the tent pole sections. (2 pins and one long pole)
- Thread one end of the pole into the metal grommet (A) on the outer tent and the other end into the opposite grommet.
- Clip the power frame hooks (B) onto the poles, beginning with the middle clip. Leave the clips in the open position for now.
- Insert the pins from the outside into the head and foot end of the tent, threading through the loop (C). Each pin is attached between its pocket and a metal grommet.
- Tension out the tent with three stakes at each end of the tent.
- Open the entrance and tension the power frame by tightening the tent tensioner (D).
- Stake out the middle pole (and tension out the guy lines as needed.)
- Secure the clips to the poles by closing the red clips.
Take down
- Take out the stakes and pole pins, and push the poles out of their sleeves - don't pull them out!
- Disconnect the poles and roll them up with the tent. (Do not stuff the poles into the packsack after you have put the tent in!)
Technical details
Fly: Both side silicone coated 20D Polyamide Ripstop fabric with a 3.000mm hydrostatic head.
Inner tent: 15D Polyester fine mesh.
Floor: Laminated Ripstop Polyamide fabric 240T with a 10.000mm hydrostatic head.
Poles: AL 7001 T6, Featherlite 7,5mm.
20D siliconised:
Siliconised fabric features tear resistance that is 6-12 times higher than conventional PU coated fabric, with 3-4 times higher UV resistance levels. Three to four-fold siliconisation on both sides of the fabric creates a very high spray value (permanent water beading ability)
40D Laminated Floor:
In order to reach a consistently high waterproof value of 10.000mm, a lamination process is used for this fabric. Lamination is more resistant against formic acid from ants than normal PU coating.
Processing and Quality
Seams: Up to date it was not possible to tape the seams of siliconized material to make them 100% waterproof. The Power Lizard Ultralight is one of the first tents worldwide made from siliconized tent material with standart taped seams. This is a VAUDE only technology and makes the seams 100% waterproof as compared to other siliconized tents.
Cords and Zippers: Lightweight polyamide webbing designed to withstand high tensile strength is used together with abrasion resistant cord. Our zippers are specifically designed to withstand horizontal tension.
Valuable hints
- The tent should be pitched taking into account wind strength and direction, with the entrance facing the most sheltered position.
- Pitch the tent on level ground.
- Avoid wide open areas in the likelihood of thunderstorms
- Avoid snow build up by regularly clearing snow off the surface of the tent.
- Avoid putting excessive tension on the entrance zipper.
- We recommend the use of a VAUDE groundsheet protector.
Care instructions
Dry the tent thoroughly after use to avoid mould and mildew. Stains and dirt can be removed with a damp sponge. Do not dry clean or mashine wash the tent. Dry poles with a cloth after use. Treat zips with wax to ensure smooth running.
Repair advice
the"pole doctor" repair tube. Slide shell over broken segment and affix with tape. Please contact your VAUDE relailer to arrange to replace the broken pole section as soon as possible. Fabric cuts can be mended using repair tape.

For your safety and that of others always use these common sense safety tips:
- Make sure you have sufficient ventilation when using petrol or gas powered equipment as they use up oxygen in the air.
• Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines. - Never pitch the tent too close to an open fire as flying sparks can cause damage.
PLEASE NOTE: VAUDE tents have a degree of fire retardence and will melt rather than flare if touched by an open flame.
- Never use cookers, heaters or lamps in the close vicinity of cars, caravans or motor homes.
- Do not allow children to play with any potentially hazardous appliance or equipment.
- Avoid camping in potentially hazardous locations.
- Please avoid noxious substances(eg exhaust fumes) in your tent- for example when using the "Drive Van".
- The tent poles are only intended for putting up the tent and no other purpose.
- Ensure tent pegs are handled carefully and are anchored securely in the ground with a hammer.
