Safety instructions
This appliance is designed for domestic use or for use in non-commercial, household-like environments, such as staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.
Risk of electric shock
Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating label.
Do not use if either the power cord or the appliance is damaged.
Keep children away from the appliance. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Unplug after every use or if defective. Repairs to the appliance, such as replacing a damaged power cord, may only be carried out by our customer service in order to avoid risks.
The power cord should not
- touch hot parts,
- be pulled over sharp edges,
- be used as a carrying handle.
Do not insert any objects into the toast slot.
Only operate the toaster when it is upright. If the toaster is tilted, it will turn itself off automatically.
Bread can burn. Never operate the toaster near or underneath curtains or other flammable materials. Never cover the toast slot.
Do not touch parts other than the operating controls as the toaster can become hot during toasting.
Press down the push-down lever only for toasting; never block it.
Never leave the toaster unattended while it is in use!

Do not use near water contained in bathtubs, sinks, or in other containers.
Parts and operating controls

Before using for the first time
- Remove any stickers or film.
- With the window open, operate the toaster without bread in it at least three times at the highest toasting level setting and let it cool down.
Operation
Do not operate the toaster without the crumb tray 10!
Toasting
- Unwind the power cable to the required length and plug it in.
- Press the ① ON/OFF button; the set toasting level lights up on the toasting level indicator 2, for example |3| or an intermediate level like |4|5|.
- Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level.
Note: The toaster will remember the selected toasting level (memory function), even if it is turned off, unplugged, or in case of a power failure.
- Place the food to be toasted in the toast slot 7.
- Press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages. The numbers for the selected toasting level flash. The toaster indicates the elapsed time by illuminating the numbers in the toasting level indicator 2.
- Toasting ends when the food being toasted is raised up.
Note: Push the push-down lever 6 up to remove toasted items more easily.
To end the toasting process prematurely, press the stop button 5.
Tip: If you toast only one slice, set the toasting level lower than for two slices.
Warming cold bread or toast
- Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level (warming).
- Insert the food being toasted and press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.
Preparing frozen bread or toast
- Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level.
- Press button 4 defrost.
- Insert the frozen food to be toasted and press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.
Using the warming rack
Never place aluminium foil on the warming rack 9!
Only use the warming function when the warming rack 9 is extended.
Never warm and toast at the same time!
- Press switch 8 down until it engages. The warming rack 9 extends.
- Use button 2 to set the desired toasting level, but no higher than level 2.
- Press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.
General
Toast items only until they are golden brown and not dark or brown. Remove any burnt edges. Do not over-toast foods containing starch, especially grain and potato products (to reduce the production of acryl amides).
N.B.: If a slice gets stuck, the toaster turns itself off automatically. Pull the power plug and carefully remove the bread after the toaster has cooled down.
Saving energy
Turn the toaster off after use by pressing the ① button in order to conserve energy.
Cleaning and maintenance
Risk of electric shock
Never immerse the device in water or place it in the dishwasher!
Don't steam-clean the appliance.
- Pull the power plug and let the toaster cool down. Use a firm brush to remove crumbs that may have accumulated under the warming rack.
- Remove the crumb tray 10 and wipe it clean.
- Clean the toaster's exterior with a damp cloth; do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
Tip: Clean the stainless steel surface with a commercial stainless steel care product.
Disposal

This appliance is labelled in accordance with the European Directive 2002/96/EG relating to waste electrical and electronic equipment - WEEE. The directive provides the framework for the EU-wide take-back and disposal of end-of-life appliances. Please ask your specialist retailer about current disposal facilities.

Heating of food or reheating of bread
- Use button 3 to select the desired degree of heating.
- Place the food in the toaster and press the lever down to the desired position to switch on.
Defrosting of frozen or reheated bread
- Use button 3 to select the desired degree of defrosting.
- Press button 4 for defrosting.
- Place the frozen food in the toaster and press the lever down to the desired position to switch on.
Use of the warming rack
Never place aluminum foil on the warming rack!
The toaster is intended for use only when the power supply cord is fully extended.
Never immerse or rinse at the same time!
Press button 8 down to the required position for toasting. The power supply cord 9 will unwind. - Use button 2 to set the desired browning level, but not higher than [2]. - Press lever 6 down to the lowest position to start toasting.
This information
Toast bread in the toaster only until it becomes golden brown, not dark brown. Remove the toasted slices. Do not toast frozen bread, pastries, especially sweet pastries (to avoid the formation of acrylamide).
Important: If a slice gets stuck, the toaster automatically switches off. Unplug the power cord and carefully remove the bread, after the toaster has cooled down.
Power consumption
Switch off the toaster after use by pressing button ① to save energy.
Danger of electric shock

Tip: Clean the stainless steel surface with special products designed for cleaning stainless steel, which you can find in the retail network.

Do not turn on the toaster without installing the bun rack 10!
Toasting bread
Unwind the power cord to the required length 1 and plug it into a socket. - Press the On/Off button ①. The toasting level indicator 2 lights up, showing the set temperature mode, e.g., [3] for intermediate level [4-5]. - To set the desired toasting level, use button 3. Note: The toaster remembers the set toasting level even after switching off, disconnecting from the mains, or in case of a power failure (memory function). - Place the bread into the bread slot 7. Press the lever 6 down until it locks. The indicator of the set toasting level will blink. The remaining time is shown on the toasting level indicator 2 by a light. - Preparation ends when the toasted products pop up.
Note: Lift the lever 6 to remove the toasted products.
To stop the toasting process before the set time, press the "Stop" button 5.
Tip: For toasting one slice, set a lower toasting level than for two slices.
- To set the desired level of browning (heating), use knob 3. Insert the products to be heated into the opening, or press the lever down until it stops.
