In order to achieve best possible results we recommend using exclusively original Zelmer accessories. They have been specially designed for this product.

Please read these instructions carefully. Pay special attention to important safety instructions. Keep this User's Guide for future reference.

Important safety instructions

This TRAVELLING hair dryer has been designed to give you maximum power (1500 W). A folding handle makes this dryer perfect for traveling as it effectively blow dries your hair and takes up little space. The following information concerns your health and safety. Please read the instructions for use and important safety instructions completely before using the hair dryer.

Injury risk! Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance. –

Do not leave a switched on appliance unattended. Fire risk. –

• Do not place the dryer on wet surfaces or clothing while it is operating.
  Always make sure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked. —
• Do not immense the hair dryer, cord or plug into water. Never put away the dryer downwards so that it can fall into water while it is operating.
• Do not place or store the appliance in a place where it can fall into water or be splashed with it.
  -Do not use while bathing.
• The dryer should only be used to dry hair.
• If the dryer is damaged while operating unplug it immediately and return it to a service center.
• Never try to remove lint or foreign bodies from the inside of the hair dryer using sharp objects (e.g. a comb).
• Never drop or insert any objects into the openings of the hair dryer.

- Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Store free of hair, etc.

- Never use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

- If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water while the unit is plugged in. Do not use a hair dryer that has fallen into water.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. —

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

If the non-detachable part of the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the producer or at a proper service point or by a qualified person in order to avoid any hazards.

The appliance can only be repaired by qualified service personnel. Improper servicing may cause a serious hazard to the user. In case of defects please contact a qualified service center.

Keep cord away from heated surfaces. –

– During operation the hair dryer becomes hot. Do not place it near flammable materials.

Allow the hair dryer to cool before putting it away.

- Do not direct hot air toward eyes, hands or other heat-sensitive areas.

- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug grasp the plug.

- Risks exist even if the hair dryer is switched off. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.

- Do not wrap the cord around the appliance (risk of breaking the cord).

- Do not cover the hair dryer as it might cause heat accumulating inside of it.

- In case of handing over the appliance to another person please inform that person about these instructions for use. When it comes to hair dryers which exploitation durability has expired, they should be disposed of according to the valid environmental protection regulations according to the Waste Management Bill. The hair dryer cannot be disposed of with household waste. Please consult a local waste management center.

- Attachments may be hot during and after use. Allow them to cool before handling.

- Do not use attachments that are not recommended.

- Always unplug the hair dryer from the electrical outlet after use.

- If the hair dryer is used in the bathroom, always unplug it from the electrical outlet after use, as it may pose a risk even when the appliance is switched off.

- Use the appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.

CAUTION: To ensure additional protection we advise you to install a residual current device (RCD) in the bathroom's electrical circuit with the rated amperage not exceeding 30 mA. In order to do so please contact a qualified electrician.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING: Follow these safety instructions to avoid the risk of burns, electric shock or fire.

Safety instructions

This hair dryer is equipped with an overheating protection device which turns off the appliance when the temperature of the outflow air is too hot or when the air inlet is partly blocked. If the hair dryer switches off during operation please switch off all buttons and allow to cool. The protection device will then automatically reset. Before using check if air inlet and outlet is not blocked. If necessary unplug the appliance and clean the openings. While using the appliance do not block the openings and do not allow hair to get inside the hair dryer.

How to use

Operation

• Make sure your hands are completely dry before plugging in the appliance.
• Before plugging in unfold the handle until you hear a characteristic click.
• Check if the 120 V/230 V switch (7) is correctly set according to the mains supply.
• Plug in the hair dryer and set the desired airflow speed (4) and temperature:

After drying set the switch (4) to 0.

Using the concentrator

• The concentrator (1) allows to direct the airflow to the desired parts of hair.
• We recommend to use the concentrator (1) to blow dry or style selected parts of hair especially if you use a comb or hair rollers.

Cold shot

• If you style hair using a brush start with hot air, twirl the curl and warm it.
• When the curl is already set switch to cold shot for 15 to 20 seconds. This will add volume to your curls and will make your hairstyle last longer.
• To set the cold shot press and hold the cold shot button (3). It will lower the temperature and allow hair to cool quickly.
• The styling process will be more effective if you use the concentrator (1).

Traveling

To take the hair dryer with you fold the handle (5) gently pushing it to the inside. Put the hair dryer and accessories into your bag.

Cleaning and maintenance

– The hair dryer is intended for household use only.
- Always switch off the hair dryer using the button (4) and unplug the appliance.
- The housing can be wiped with a damp cloth, however it needs to be wiped dry afterwards.

Storage

-When not in use, unplug the appliance.

- After use allow the hair dryer to cool and store out of reach of children in a dry and cool place.

• Never wrap the cord around the appliance, as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully to ensure its long efficiency. Avoid jerking, twisting or straining it especially while unplugging. If the cord becomes twisted due to use, periodically straighten it.
• The hair dryer is equipped with a hang loop (6) for your convenience. The appliance can be stored on the hang loop providing that the hair dryer will not have any contact with water in that position.

Ecology – Taking care of the environment!

All users can contribute to environmental protection. It is neither difficult nor too expensive.

To do that:

Put the cardboard box into paper drop. —

Put plastic bags into plastic waste container. —

- Give used device to appropriate storage yard, as dangerous components of the device can pose a threat to the environment.

Do not throw it out together with household garbage!!!
