The filter of the IMETEC ZeroCalc Eco iron is not intended to be replaced. It is a special permanent resin filter integrated inside the water tank. This filter serves to reduce the hardness of the water and limit the formation of limescale in the soleplate, but it does not require maintenance or replacement throughout the device's lifespan.

To ensure proper functioning of the anti-limescale system, you must regularly use the Calc-Clean function. This function automatically cleans the steam chamber and the soleplate of any limescale or impurity residue. It is recommended to perform this every 5 to 10 uses.

Calc-Clean procedure:

Fill the water tank to the maximum level indicated "MAX"
Set the steam selector to the "0" position
Adjust the temperature knob to the maximum position and wait for the indicator light to turn off
Unplug the cord and immediately position the iron horizontally over a sink
Press the Calc-Clean button (marked "8" on the iron) and hold it down until boiling water, steam, and limescale come out
Once cooled, clean the soleplate with a damp cloth

If discolored water comes out of the soleplate during the first use, this is normal as there may be residues from the factory test. Before the first ironing, it is advisable to spray a jet of steam into the air to expel any residual condensation.
