How to install the OPTOMA HD140X projector?
Place the projector on a stable surface facing a screen or a white wall. Connect the power and turn on the device with the Power button. Use the zoom and focus ring on the lens to adjust the image.
What is the maximum supported resolution?
The HD140X has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). It accepts signals up to 1920 x 1200 via HDMI.
How to connect an HDMI source?
Use an HDMI cable to connect your source (Blu-ray player, console, PC) to one of the two HDMI inputs on the back of the projector. Select the corresponding source with the Source button on the remote.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off and unplug the projector. Remove the filter cover on the side. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner or soapy water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace it every 500 hours of use.
What to do if the image is blurry?
Turn the focus ring around the lens until you get a sharp image. Also check that the projector is at the appropriate distance from the screen and that the zoom is properly adjusted.
How to replace the lamp?
Turn off and unplug the projector, wait 30 minutes for it to cool down. Unscrew the lamp cover on the bottom, remove the old lamp by pulling gently. Insert the new lamp (SP.8LZ01G01) and screw the cover back on. Reset the hour counter in the Settings menu.
Can the projector be used on the ceiling?
Yes, the HD140X supports ceiling installation. Use a compatible mounting bracket (not included). In the Installation menu, set the projection to Ceiling front to invert the image.
Why is the fan noisy?
Fan noise is normal especially in Normal mode. You can switch to Eco mode in the Lamp menu to reduce noise, but brightness will also decrease.
What cables are included in the box?
The projector comes with a power cable, an HDMI cable, a VGA cable, and the remote control with batteries.
How to reset the projector to factory settings?
Go to the Settings menu, select Reset All and confirm. The device will return to its original settings, all custom configurations will be erased.
