Frequently Asked Questions - ZX210ST OPTOMA

How to clean the projector's air filter?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Open the filter compartment (usually located on the side). Remove the filter and gently vacuum the dust using a vacuum cleaner. Do not wash the filter with water. Put it back in place and close the compartment.
How often should the projector lamp be replaced?
Typical lamp life is 10,000 hours in eco mode. Replace the lamp when the image becomes dim or the lamp indicator flashes. Use a certified OPTOMA replacement lamp.
What to do if the projected image is blurry?
Adjust the focus using the focus ring on the lens. Also check that the projector is at the correct distance from the screen and that the source resolution matches the native resolution (1280x800).
How to connect an HDMI device to the projector?
Use a standard HDMI cable. Plug it into the HDMI input of the projector and the HDMI output of your device (computer, Blu-ray player, etc.). Select the HDMI source via the projector's input menu.
The projector does not turn on, what to do?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged in and that the electrical outlet works. Make sure the lamp cover is securely closed. If the power indicator is flashing, refer to the error code section in the manual.
Can I use the projector with a standard white screen?
Yes, any white screen or light, flat surface works. For better image quality, use a special projection screen.
How to activate 3D mode on the projector?
Make sure the 3D source is compatible (e.g., 3D Blu-ray player). Set the projector to 3D mode via the OSD menu. Wear active DLP Link 3D glasses. Adjust synchronization if necessary.
What is the minimum projection distance for a 100-inch image?
For a short-throw projector like the ZX210ST, a distance of approximately 1.2 meters is required to achieve a 100-inch diagonal image. Refer to the distance chart in the manual for specific sizes.
How to reset to factory settings?
Access the OSD menu, go to 'Settings' or 'Configuration', then select 'Reset to factory settings'. Confirm the operation. The projector will restart with default settings.
The projector makes an abnormal noise, what to check?
Excessive noise may come from the fan or the lamp. Check that the air filter is not clogged. If the noise persists, contact OPTOMA after-sales service.
