How to change the lamp of the OPTOMA EP716R projector?
Turn off the device and unplug the power cord. Wait for the lamp to cool down (30 minutes). Open the lamp compartment on the bottom, carefully remove the old lamp, insert the new one (reference: SP. 81G01.001), then close it. Power on and reset the lamp counter in the menu.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off and unplug the projector. Remove the filter cover on the side. Use a soft vacuum or compressed air to clean the filter. Do not wash the filter with water. Reinstall after drying. Clean every 100 hours of use.
How to connect a laptop to the projector?
Use a VGA (D-Sub) or HDMI cable. Connect one end to the projector, the other to the PC. Select the corresponding source via the Source button on the remote control or control panel. If necessary, adjust the computer resolution to 800x600.
What to do if the image does not display?
Check that the projector is on and the cable is properly connected. Make sure the source is selected (VGA/HDMI). If the screen remains black, wait for the lamp to start (it may take a few seconds). Also check the lens cap: it must be open.
Why is the lamp indicator flashing red?
The flashing red indicator indicates a lamp error. This may be due to a defective lamp, a temperature problem, or a sensor. Turn off the projector, let it cool, check that the lamp is properly installed. If the problem persists, replace the lamp.
How to use keystone correction?
Press the Keystone button on the remote control or go to menu Display > Keystone correction. Use the up/down arrows to adjust vertical distortion. Press OK to confirm.
How to adjust image sharpness?
Turn the focus ring located around the lens until the image is sharp. If the image is still blurry after adjustment, check the projection distance (recommended range: 1.2 to 12 meters).
Can the projector be used wirelessly?
The EP716R model does not have built-in wireless connectivity. You can use an external wireless HDMI adapter connected to the HDMI port for wireless projection.
